  1. "Except Congeniality..." 😅 I miss this show.
  2. Benny's. It broke my heart to see what they had turned his lovely little diner into. It was Hopper's old cabin he stayed with El in.
  3. The four younger boys are. They were in the science club in the first season, and Mike knew how to use physics to flip the car at the mall when everybody else was just trying to push it over LOL. I think it's implied that Dustin is the smartest out of them, though.
  4. It gave me quite a giggle too. 🙃
  5. Oh now that's an interesting take! Never thought about it that way, but you're not wrong!
  6. I kind of figured Hopper would have to move out to California with them, or they would all have to move somewhere new, even though that would mean splitting up the core group yet again. I just can't think of a way they can explain away Hopper's Not!Death since he was supposed to have died in a fire at the mall and has been gone for almost a year.
  7. This gave me the thought, could you imagine if Kali/Eight had the ability to cross into the "mind space" the way El did? She would totally be killing people remotely and the government would be justified in going after her. (I really do not like Kali, LOL.)
  8. I hope next season we get a Lost Boys reference (unless there's no time jump at all). Lost Boys came out in '87 so we're finally getting to the point where it would be appropriate, and the entire storyline of a bunch of kids fighting the supernatural baddies with very elaborate schemes which should not work but do, while the parents are oblivious, is a nod to that great classic IMO.
  9. Not to mention, hadn't they just crawled through a sewer? A change of clothes doesn't help THAT much.
  10. Ha! I had already forgotten the letters existed despite the title of the episode literally referencing them. Also, holy shiz. Max wrote the letters because she was convinced Vecna was going to kill her. And she was right.
  11. LOL. Don't forget he threw a 'I had hoped to make you my bride so we can rule the Upside Down together!' in there for good measure. I rolled my eyes straight out of my head.
  12. Okay, using the deep freezer as a sensory deprivation tank. I have questions. I didn't see them doing anything to heat the water at all. Poor El would have frozen to death. (This would have been a nice time to show her using telekinesis as an electrical current, btw, to heat the water and set things up for restarting Max's heart later.) Did they just leave the freezer sitting there full of water for the morning crew to find the next day? Did they just waste all that food? Argyle 2.0 probably lost his job over that. Way to go, guys. I'm willing to handwave away supernatural stuff in a sci-fi show, not so much the everyday things. LOL
  13. We saw Child!Henry drawing a picture of the Mind Flayer, so I think we were supposed to assume from that he created it.
  14. I shouldn't admit how hard that made me laugh.
  15. When the Mind Flayer left Will in S2, it formed a grainy looking tornado that I'm pretty sure was the same stuff as that. El had a flashback memory of it this episode.
  16. Hubby is sick so he's having to take a nap before we can watch the finale. This show is trying to f@cking put me in my grave.
  17. I'm also now wondering, given what we've learned in S4, if some of the experiments we saw El being forced into (there was a scene with her trying to do something with a coke can, and wasn't there one with a cat which really upset her?) were Brenner trying to get her to recreate whatever it was she did when she sent One into the UD. Like, he was trying to get her to send other objects and beings into the UD as well as use the empty space to travel long distances telepathically to spy on people. Maybe she was tearing tiny holes in between the dimensions all over the place with the experiments, weakening it, and they didn't know it.
  18. Interesting! I know for sure there was the chiming clock in S3 when Billy was pulled into the upside down the first time, I went back and checked after someone mentioned it. I bet the clues have been there all along and we just didn't know to look for them. I'm excited to go back and do a rewatch after the next two episodes. One thing I'm looking forward to watching for is signs that One had an influence on Kali before she ran away. I'm almost positive she advised El on how to harness and control her powers the same way that One did when he was talking El into helping him escape. I'd be willing to bet he was grooming Kali before he was grooming El, but Kali outsmarted him and used his help to run away herself instead of setting him free.
  19. Totally agree, as I've argued in these threads a few times now LOL. They really dropped the ball on those scenes. Too many people have been completely confused, thinking it was taking place in the present day and not just memories/flashbacks.
  20. That episode is hysterical! I especially loved that they kept portraying Mary Jo as being so clueless (which quickly got into 'come on, nobody is that stupid' range) but then she admitted she had heard on Oprah that it's a difficult transition time when the spouse comes back from military duty and she was trying to make things easier on them. Soooo funny and sweet of her to do.
  21. Going back and watching that part of the video again, I see that I missed the top part of Lucas' shoes, LOL. I thought they ended where the thin green stripe was. My bad.
  22. Oh, that was awesome! I enjoyed seeing the 'why' behind all the character's clothing. I especially loved seeing why El was dressing so awkwardly. It makes sense that she would be trying to pair some of the stuff she bought while shopping with Max with hand-me-downs from Joyce and Will and Jonathan but not really knowing what goes together and what doesn't, and she doesn't have any female friends her age to give her advice. So in light of that it's understandable that her outfits just look strange and not really put together. The only two things I call BS on are: Lucas' basketball shoes. They didn't have any kind of ankle support at all, and you really do need that for actually playing ball and not just wearing shoes for fashion; and Robin's borrowed outfit for when she and Nancy go to visit Victor Creel in prison. A costume designer is not going to miss that one actress is 5" taller than the other and they have completely different builds, LOL. She should have pointed out that Nancy would need to raid her mother's closet for better fitting clothes for Robin.
  23. Agree. I don't think staying in Hawkins was even an option.
  24. Rocket is voiced by Bradley Cooper. Kirk does play one of Yondu's main guys though. I'm not sure of his name.
