Not a fan. Maybe because I'm an older fan - I was not into the kid-version of Arrow. Blackstar is SUCH an overactor it's jarring. She seems like she's just trying too hard to be a badass and it's laughable ... and with every other character trying to shove down our throats that she IS a badass, just stop it. Ugh. Bring back the originals, please? I just can't with the next generation.

I don't think any of US disagree with you - but that's what the council agreed to over the years. Chalk it up to a crappy plot contrivance.

So there's a council and I imagine there were likely a few dissenting votes...but perhaps the warm comfort of known safety was a stronger pull than open trade and potential danger? Especially after all of their kids disappeared for a hot minute. Seemed an easy thing to accept out of fear. Then a year or two goes by and a few council members start to switch their votes, but Michonne continues to "win" - and, based on what was said in a previous episode (hell if I remember now and I sure as fuck am not going back to rewatch it), since Michonne always ended up being the deciding vote, the council simply got used to deferring to her. Or she'd "veto" their decision... and they'd just accept it because she was their leader and was successful at keeping them safe for a relatively long time. Which, I think, was basically what Father PP or Aaron had said. And even though they may disagree, they'll continue to defer to her...which is what they did. I mean, there is something to be said for the feeling of safety and security in the Z-apocalypse.

Yes, of course - that was the more obvious "hint" to Lydia - but I think the writers were trying to make the point paralleling Michonne's own struggle. If she didn't have the kids, would she just walk away now that Rick's gone? If leaving would've saved RIck's life, would she have left sooner? So deep. *eyeroll*

I think the why and how of the whole "isolated Alexandria" was kind of answered when Michonne was speaking to Lydia. The concept of, "If it was just me? I'd just go away and save everyone else... but it's not just me anymore." After losing Rick, she feels responsible for everyone - especially her kids. Is it a weak excuse? Yes. Is it poor writing? For sure. ...

I understood that to mean "take half" of the herd. While I can't verify if there were 6 or more in their hunting party... I didn't read that instruction the same way you did. Also, I cannot adequately express how much I loved Carol's expression when she asked the Highwaymen how long it's been since they've seen a movie. It was SO adorable - made even more adorable by my knowledge that she's a stone cold, effective, killing machine. I could re-watch that scene over and over again. I have no issue with how or why the Highwaymen showed up... I got the impression that as 'highway men', they've been moving around from place to place by way of the highway and taking tolls from any small groups they passed along the way. I, too, am thrilled that we've finally met "normal" survivors who can be cutthroat and suspicious, but also reasonable. I think the Whisperers, in general, are a stupid premise - it's a dumb way to live and STILL doesn't make any sense at all. How are they eating and getting clean water? Why aren't they being attacked when they're arguing and viciously whispering in the midst of their herds? I mean, Lydia wasn't even "dressed" as a zombie and she was just "shuffling" along with them all willy nilly. How is that working? And if they're so pleased with being turned into a Guardian, why don't they all just allow themselves to be bitten? So dumb. But Daryl and Connie made up for their stupidity. I enjoyed them together. The humor was well placed and much needed - I'm on board for some more of that.

Why? Not only are his friends extremely wealthy, as he said, but I'm sure in a firm as large as his, many people would consider going in on a joint gift. And it's not like buying a $2000 gift is a requirement... no one HAS to buy it. It's not as if they even *need* a registry. They're not a young couple starting out who need help purchasing diapers or bottle liners. They're an older, established, wealthy couple who is treating their registry like a wishlist and I could absolutely see Harvey or one of the other partners dropping that kind of coin (or junior partners splitting it). "Revolting" seems like an extreme reaction, to me. I'm disappointed Donna didn't just tell her beau, "I think you should take Glen's deal. I don't trust Simon," or something to that effect - without actually outing anyone. I mean, she's Donna. She couldn't have figured out a way to get him to take the deal without tarnishing his honor or outing Harvey? That was a weirdly dumb plot line. I also don't like Sam body checking the thug (who might've had a gun). I get it, she's tough. She kickboxes. But how much belief do I need to suspend? Maybe it's because I just hate everything about Katherine Heigl, but I don't think so. I think attacking a potentially armed criminal on a dark street was stupid. Not to mention, I had a hard time believing someone like this guy would turn himself in over his baby mama and kid. He'd rationalize that they'd just find housing elsewhere and he's better off in his kid's life than behind bars. I miss Mike.

Didn't they receive books and books of "how tos" from weird-record-collecting-lady about how to restart society? Among those books (and the things they pilfered from museums and libraries) were there no "how tos" for effective weapons? I mean, slingshots? Come on.

Pretty sure it's been said on the show before and pretty sure the majority of the world would agree - I'd much rather have a doctor save my life than have a precious bedside manner. Skill over charm any damned day. What a stupid reason to get him reassigned.

Don't they have a baby? What the hell? The last two episodes I've literally stared at them all sitting in the kitchen talking about their family and wondering what the hell happened to the newest member? When they were talking about retiring and going on a cruise or traveling or whatever, I kept screaming, "BUT YOU GUYS HAVE A BABY!?" And this week, with the PR person - not even mentioning the kid. I just... what the what?

I didn't read it as her realizing she was stringing him along. I read it as she was panicking about making such a commitment. I got the feeling she really liked him but was afraid of making a real, long term commitment which was echoed a bunch with regard to her belief that she bailed on her mother. It also showed how Nadia and Alan fit so well together and were able to ultimately help each other... he was ready to jump into commitment (even though he really wasn't) and she's terrified of commitment (even though it would've probably been a good relationship).

I, too, am having logistical problems with the Whisperers as a "thing". Yes, it's creepy and interesting... but at the end of the day, what is the purpose? If they spend their time slowly shuffling around in the midst of zombie hordes when and where and how do they get food and clean water. Everything's been stripped bare. If they're not growing food or taking time to purify water... how are they surviving? If they're caring for their hordes, how are they caring for themselves? If they really believe the world belongs to the dead, why don't they just join the dead? I can't imagine a long term strategy for this story that makes any kind of sense. Negan didn't bother me this episode... but maybe that's 'cause I just saw him as Daddy Winchester last week and he gave me the feels.

I kept yelling at the TV. She's a trained agent. She's mother-fucking SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE. (They've only reminded us of this 150 times.) How is this even a fight? Ugh.

FWIW, Abe may have gotten that job due to backroom dealings by his son. That was my first assumption. So while it *appeared* Bell Labs practically begged to hire him, I just assume it was because his CIA son pulled some strings.

Can someone tell me who the guy in the gold mask is supposed to be and why it matters that he's locked up next to Deegan? Also, count me as one who did not enjoy RR as Batwoman. Blegh. I much prefer her as the lead singer of Evermoist. For everyone wondering why Supergirl and Flash would've burned up at Mach 7.... it wasn't because of Mach 7, it was because Deegan "wrote" it that way.

I watch all three. I agree that the characterizations were off and the plot was stupid, but damned if I didn't enjoy the hell out of it anyway. I giggled. A lot. There was so much funny and it played, to me at least, that the actors were having fun together. I found the Supergirl/Superman section the slowest and most boring part of the show; I thought the Lois actress looked way too old for the Clark actor and it bugged me throughout their scenes together. I love the way Flash and GA worked together - nearly all their scenes made me smile. I'm all in for any and all present and future crossovers.

But they wouldn't know that or even suspect that. And the writers could have (and maybe should have) gone that route. Because it still doesn't make ANY sense that no one even made an attempt.

I believe Nip/Tuck's Matt. I don't think he had anything to do with Nate Sr.'s murder. Poor Bon Bon.

It was a test to check on his memory. He specifically gave it to her before the procedure because he was worried about it being stolen. She tried to prompt his memory with her line (I forget the specifics), but when he failed to take the hint, it only proved to him that he's missing a beat. It's funny that you call her Cuddy. :)

I'm with the viewers who are a bit irritated by seeing a chubby ZA survivor... but more than that, what are the odds that excellent fighters are dropping dead left and right but someone who is ***deaf*** has made it through a decade of zombie overrun? One of the very few things that helps saves lives in this show is hearing the dead sneak up behind you...hearing the moaning and groaning in forests and behind doors...the shuffling outside your tent. How is it even remotely possible that not only is there enough food to keep Chubby chubby, but in 10 some-odd years, a deaf woman (and her kid? sister? maybe?) survived just fine? Suspension of disbelief, table for everyone. That's not even taking into account that zombies should eventually fall apart, right? Or is there a point at which they stop decaying? I liked this episode, though. I enjoyed little Judith and I'm ok with adults giving in. She is, after all, what's left of Rick - and representative of the future they all aspire to have. I enjoyed Eugene's progress. Watching him efficiently take out a bunch of walkers made me feel a strange sort of pride. I liked the new group, even though I have serious questions about some of the writers' choices here. I loved bad-ass Carol and I'm so happy to see her again! Negan didn't irritate me nearly as much as he used to; I loved his new haircut. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the ZA post-Rick. Looking forward to more.

I didn't see Adelita's plan as sloppy at all. I always saw her as several steps ahead of Galindo and his crew. It seemed obvious to me she owned the border guards - how else did she get in to see him when he was being held?

But Hitler got people to buy into his ideology. His lieutenants believed in what he was selling and ordinary people who knew it was wrong had no individual power or means to stop him. I’m looking at trained FBI agents who hated themselves. In particular, a woman, in a position of power, whose CHILD Fisk killed...who shot a fellow FBI member in cold blood. She had the motive, opportunity and means. It just seemed so silly. These cops and feds who were numb to the violence at this point didn’t just think “to hell with this shit” and pop him? Eh. I just couldn’t buy it. But yes, fiction and plot...I get it. Still entertaining as hell to watch.
