  1. Has anyone noticed if she repeats any of the shirts? Does she have an endless supply? When does she find time to go to concerts or does she get a stack from online thrift stores (or something) every week? I can't think each one lasts too long as she seems to rip/cut out the neck and arms? I have not noticed a repeat. Angela, a detective on The Rookie, also wears concert t-shirts under a jacket. No police detective or sheriff's deputy would dress like either one of them.
  2. It is absolutely the dispatcher's responsibility to know where all of her officers are at all times. Even though Lucy told dispatch that she was ok, the dispatcher should have checked on her again in a few minutes, since she never cleared the scene. It would have been a huge deal that the supervisor was the one to notice that she hadn't been on the radio for 2 hours.
  3. I just finished the series and enjoyed it. I agree, the timeline at the beginning seemed off - I thought there was a time jump because of how much more pregnant Marybeth got from episode 1 to episode 2, but they kept talking about being new to town. It was strange. Did anyone notice how Joe let Nate take April's horse when he left? Joe always rode the brown horse and Marybeth rode the Palomino, and April's horse was black. When Joe and Nate rode, Joe was on his brown horse and Nate was on a black horse, which had to be April's. It was never addressed, but I felt bad for April.
  4. I find it refreshing that the character has good relationships with both of his exes. So often the ex wife is a characterized as a "shrew" or negative in some way. And so far at least, the daughter is not the usual annoying teenager.
  5. What was the rush? Jade was told by her friend to follow protocol - I don't understand why she handled things the way she did. Her character is rash - but up until this point she didn't seem completely stupid. If there were more than 2 episodes left, I would probably have quit at this point. There was no reason for her actions.
  6. They didn't want to bring attention to the fact that she was missing. They turned to Obi-wan because they figured he could save her quietly. The cousin made mention that she never left the planet. I think her parents were trying to keep her somewhat isolated in order to keep her safe.
  7. Prior to the second half of the last season, I always thought Jane Fonda looked great. She clearly had work done, but she still looked like herself. She now has a very unnatural look that is quite distracting.
  8. There is currently a solar sail satellite orbiting Earth that is crowd sourced through The Planetary Society called LightSail 2. theplanetarysociety.org/~sailplanetary/
  9. I'm not sure Autumn knows she is Amy. If she knew Perry was her Dad, some of her interactions with him are kind of creepy.
  10. I thought this as well. His walk was odd, as were lots of his facial expressions. I don't remember him moving that awkwardly on Firefly. I thought the almost wink when he asked if there were any aliens around was well done. But I kept seeing his Resident Alien character in the one he was playing on the this show.
  11. I agree with this completely! They didn't get the hair quite right, and Nicole does have a pretty distinct diction that they could have played up. Yes, to the John Heileman idea as well!
  12. I was going to quit this show if it got renewed because I feel like so many of the characters do so many dumb things. But I just read where Jensen Ackles (from Supernatural) is not only guest starring on the season finale - but he will be a regular next season. I have watched him since he was Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives and will now have no choice but to watch next season of this silly show!
  13. While I don't think it explains the decal, there was a show called "Travelers" on Netflix and Showcase (in Canada) for three seasons beginning in 2016. The premise is that the world is ending in the future, so they send "travelers" to the past, into the bodies of people just as they die. Then they try to fix things so the future isn't so bad. I enjoyed the first two seasons, not so much the third. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travelers_(TV_series)
  14. For whatever reason, I have noticed the blond woman who appears to act as a "host wrangler" in several episodes lately. She often runs up and physically grabs the hand of the host and hurries them off the stage. The must be really good at her job!
  15. The song was “Suicide is Painless”. I wonder if D’Arcy now thinks she’s Hot Lips Houlihan. "Suicide is Painless" was used, with lyrics, in the movie version of MASH. The song without lyrics was used as the theme song for the tv series. Helicopters were a big part of both as they were used to transport the injured soldiers from the front lines to the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH.) The tv series opened with shots of helicopters loaded with the injured flying and landing. Makes me feel old to realize MASH is no longer the cultural touchstone that it once was! And D'Arcy actually does have some similarities to Houlihan - they both sometimes act tough to cover up their internal hurt.
  16. Thank you so much - it was driving me crazy that I couldn't place her! I knew the voice, but hadn't seen her on screen in a long time and couldn't figure out who it was.
  17. Right. This was a major teachable moment and the writers blew it. They could have had Ben say, "I'd pick you up, but you're not supposed to move an injured person." Sadly, some people don't realize this. I thought the exact same thing - they missed a teachable moment! I read somewhere that many people's injuries are made worse by those trying to help by moving them after an accident, then by the initial accident itself.
  18. I do this too! I always try to see if they show an angle where you can see the zipper - and they usually do.
  19. If they are going to have rotating hosts, they need to be there for all 4 days, and they need to announce in advance who will be hosting. I love Velshi and will make sure to watch if he is hosting. I hate having to tune in every night in order to see who is on. Anyone who watches John Oliver knows you can do an in-depth show on a weekly basis - so I know Rachel can still do her thing one night a week. I think the network is making a big mistake not having a permanent host for the other four nights.
  20. I happened to watch this episode and a recent episode of New Amsterdam that he was also in back-to-back, and he sold me on both characters - he is good.
  21. I spent the whole moving feeling like I had seen the actor who played Ritchie somewhere, but couldn't remember where I had seen him, and I didn't know his name until the credits. When I saw Quaid I knew why he seemed so familiar - he has the same lopsided grin as his Dad. I also will be looking for some of his other work as he totally sold me on the geeky boyfriend character.
  22. Yes, people who are actively considering suicide do sometimes call 911 instead of a suicide hotline. 911 is a number everyone knows, so it easier to do. In another life I was a police dispatcher and handled a few calls from suicidal people. I never had anyone on a ledge, it was either a gun or pills. People who take pills sometimes change their mind as the pills are acting. Some people want to be talked out of it, and some people just have something they want to say.
  23. While I am glad Rachel will be back, I have to admit that I will miss Ali. He has been doing some great reporting on the ground in the war zone. I hope he is able to come home for awhile and then I wish they could find a place for him during the week.
  24. And there was an obvious camera shot of Kasi putting the drive in the computer - I thought for sure something bad was going to happen.
  25. I found it odd that she apparently wasn't punished in any way. Not that Book's punishment seemed all that harsh.
