  1. Does anyone know why Ales Russel was not hired for the whole season? Was it a cost cutting measure? I did appreciate that Nichelle solvee her own problem rather than having Hondo come to the rescue.
  2. So this must have been the night for NCIS taking their inspiration from the movies with this obvious nod to "Point Break" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash" over on the Mother Ship.
  3. I came to post the same thing - one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" movies! And NCIS Hawaii did their version of "Point Break" tonight.
  4. They could not have purchased them because the don't exist. People are buying a product that has not been made yet and the fine print on th epurchase contract states there is no firm delivery date and the possibility exists that they will never be delivered. And there will be no refunds if they are never made.
  5. This is exactly what I thought. He cleared his conscious a bit by telling them that he wasn't the killer, he just moved the body. He knew he was in too deep and that on top of his "girlfriend" not showing up made him want to die, but he was too much of a coward to do it himself.
  6. I'm so glad to come on here and see other people did not find him attractive either. I am old, so I'm sure that is part of it, but the guy seemed awkward to me and I didn't find him handsome at all. Yes, the blame is totally on Boeing. Alaska Airlines currently has their own inspectors in Boeing plants checking the planes they will be purchasing.
  7. I thought the exact same thing! She was a much worse version of Ida Morgenstern.
  8. I am very much dating myself here, but she reminds me so much of Ida Morgenstern - Rhoda's mother on the Mary Tyler Moore Show and later on the show Rhoda. Not only her physical stature, but her tone of voice and the way she interferes in her son's life.
  9. I had the same thought. He said something about everyone keeping secrets. If he doesn't know for sure, he has a good idea that Gabi is keeping some sort of big secret. Zeke comes from a very wealthy family. Gabi said he bankrolls the whole operation.
  10. I wish they had used more subtitles. I got bored a couple of times because I couldn't understand what they were saying. Sure, I could figure out some of it because of their expressions and context, but I thought it was a little too much.
  11. I really wanted her to be good as well! But, I have watched too many of these shows and figured she would turn out to be bad at some point...
  12. Why are they spending so much time on the assassins? Every time they shift to their personal issues it takes me out of the story. I don't care about either one of them and she is just annoying.
  13. I am also out. I stayed this long for Billy Burke and Diane Farr - but I just can't with all the stupid story lines. And the rescues aren't even that good because they spend so much time standing around talking rather than taking any action.
  14. Every time she is on screen wearing all of her fire gear she looks like a girl playing dress up. Everything is too big for her and I just don't see her having the physical strength to be fire fighter.
  15. "Rescue Me," with Denis Leary, was a great show. Denis Leary has real connections with the New York Fire Department and they obviously had great technical advisors on the show. His cousin was a firefighter who was killed in the line of duty and Leary started the Leary Firefighters Foundation that funds equipment and training for firefighters. You are right, the did a great job combining the professional and the personal, mostly because they didn't engage in personal talk when they were fighting fires! And they had a real sense of urgency when they would arrive at a scene, which is definitely lacking in the crews on Fire Country. I remember reading that one of the reasons Diane Farr left the show is because she was having some physical issues due to the weight of all the fire fighter gear she had to wear.
  16. Either that, or Dad bails and Buck and the Mom decide to raise the baby together.
  17. An EMT definitely would not have that training, but Tommy is a Paramedic, and they have way more training. I don't know if that was realistic or not.
  18. Amazingly enough, it happens more often than one would think. A car traveling at a high rate of speed will hit the 2 guy wires that support the pole and actually travel up them and then stop at the top. This was unrealistic because there is no way the car had enough distance to get up to a speed where this could actually happen. My husband is a lineman and has dealt with this a couple of times over his career.
  19. The whole time line in this episode drove me crazy. A transplant surgery would first thing in the morning and there would be way more preparation involved. She would not have any time to be talking on the radio. You don't go to surgery in a wheel chair - you go via a hospital bed. The timeline was also way off for the crew in the forest. If they started their hike first thing in the morning, how were they still on their own after dark? Help would have arrived way before then.
  20. Please tell me I'm not the only one who said, "Marcia Brady!" out loud when Maureen McCormick appeared on screen. I was surprised to see her and thought she did a good job with the little screen time that she was given.
  21. I was sure they had sent Julie the way of Chuck Cunningham. Isn't this the first time she has been on all season? I don't think she has even been mentioned at all. They certainly did age her up. I knew I should know the actor playing Agent Carter - it was Jake Weber, who played Joe in Medium and is definitely a "hey its that guy" actor.
  22. Nick Nolte can still act. I thought he did great work in this. Loved the episode, even though with the high body count.
  23. I think the arsonist is the nephew. He told the realtor he had a wife and young son. I think he is setting fires so he can see what fire houses go to what locations and the time it takes them to respond by using the stolen radio. He was writing all of that down on a pad. My impression is he is still working with the Honor Dogs. On another note - this whole episode was just ridiculous. No way would the Department make Marjan link to a fundraiser of any type. Those people did not even have a legit complaint. And as an ex dispatcher I can confidently say that no way would Grace have ever driven over to the house of a caller - especially with her baby! That is so many kinds of wrong. The right thing to do would have been to send an officer for a welfare check after the second time the kid called. CPS is not going to go in and immediately remove a child in that kind of a situation unless it is warranted.
  24. Did anyone else catch the Gene Hackman reference to the move "The Conversation?" She told someone she listened as hard as Gene Hackman to the tape of the radio show and the person didn't get the reference. She didn't name the movie, but I'm sure that is what she was referring to. It was an even more obtuse reference than Michael Weston and "Burn Notice" in the first episode.
  25. Yes, you can absolutely use it for closing wounds. I'm not sure how well it would work on a week old gun shot wound, but it works for small cuts.
