  1. Me too, though I got frustrated with Jamie not really trying to help himself. I was also a little appalled at Frank telling Henry's doctor not to tell him the cancer diagnosis
  2. Millennium FX, who previously did the show’s prosthetics but left suddenly during Series 12 has reportedly said in a private Facebook group that they are returning to the show under Davies. Not verified officially of course Facebook group in case you have access or can get it https://www.facebook.com/groups/511449668949745
  3. Ok, this week’s episode was funnier than the last, though not all sketches hit for me
  4. Sad that it’s been canceled but as it’s been said, it got 7 seasons, which is a minor miracle given how dire that first season was and how much they changed cast members. But I agree a short final season would have been nice. It doesn’t seem like a sale of the network has been agreed on yet, but the current owners might be hedging their bets
  5. Exiting showrunner Chris Chibnall did an interview with Doctor Who Magazine and it's in the latest issue. I've summarized it and put it in spoiler space given the length. I decided to put it here since this topic is for the end of the era with the specials and Chibnall talks about his era. I left quite a bit out so please consider buying the magazine if you want the full thing and various behind the scenes pictures
  6. Thanks for the update. It appears I got confused or forgot
  7. Hmm, I could be misremembering any actual talking.
  8. Harmony knows he’s faking and he was forcing her to do things, though I don’t recall specifically what he made her do. I don’t recall for sure if she knows about Esme working with Ryan or just thinking she was too curious about him. After that chess game (with Spencer?) in prison I think, Harmony and Ryan talked and that’s when we knew she knew he was faking and that she had no choice about helping him
  9. I wonder if Harmony will let on that Ryan is faking his locked in syndrome and that she and Esme were in cahoots with him, or will she die and take that info to her grave?
  10. But it might not make it to a 3rd season
  11. I’m not sure I understood everything that was going on, but that was really entertaining
  12. Yet more cable networks bailing on scripted. Could this be a reason Chad’s second season was delayed?
  13. I liked it (and I continue to love the theme music). I too was surprised by Anne not appearing to really love Ann, but she could be doubting herself about wanting to settle down
  14. Next doc: “Elon Musk’s Crash Course” (about Tesla’s self driving cars not quite working as well as Musk keeps claiming) on Friday, May 20 at 10pm ET http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2022/04/25/fx-sets-the-new-york-times-presents-documentary-film-elon-musks-crash-course-553315/20220425fx01/
  15. PBS will show Ken Burns' 3 part "The US and the Holocaust" over 3 nights in September starting September 18 https://realscreen.com/2022/04/25/pbs-slates-the-u-s-and-the-holocaust-from-ken-burns-lynn-novick-sarah-botstein/
  16. 7-day UK ratings: 3.47 million, 3rd for the day overall (1st for the BBC) and 25th for the week overall (10th for the BBC)
  17. Really awesome. If only the Master hadn't killed him so soon. Maybe he'll get to kick some more butt in the final special

  19. From the description of the series, I thought Moses would be very indirectly involved in the officer’s death, but fighting with the officer and pushing him to fall and hit his head and leading to his death is pretty direct, which somewhat changes my view of his dilemma. At the very least, it seems like it would be involuntary manslaughter, but obviously the police are going to want a reckoning Poor Joshua(?) getting thrown off a cliff or overpass by gang members because he was talking to the police Was the dead cop working for Internal Affairs given the wire he was wearing? I initially thought Tosin Cole would be the star of this but the star is very clearly Courtney Vance Intrigued enough to keep watching
  20. I can’t understand half of what he’s saying, and neither can the contestants. He clearly has trouble with English It’s a pretty odd show
