  1. I think there’s quite a few good things, which is nice given how sparse things have been because of the pandemic. I’m most looking forward to Nova’s Dinosaur Apocalypse
  2. Executive producer/director Fred Savage, who starred in the original show, has been fired after an investigation into inappropriate conduct https://deadline.com/2022/05/fred-savage-fired-as-the-wonder-years-ep-director-following-investigation-into-inappropriate-conduct-1235018451/
  3. Assuming anyone still cares, new premiere is Monday, July 11 at 10pm http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2022/05/05/the-tnets-announce-summer-premiere-dates-for-new-and-returning-series-485213/20220505warnermedia02/
  4. I really like the discussion TJ and Brit had about how to handle losing patients
  5. I love the Muppets, so they were used just enough here without being too much. I especially loved Rob trying to get translations for the Swedish Chef and the other two, but they just weren't cooperating, plus Rob's meeting with Pepe the Prawn King. The episode overall was enjoyable
  6. Renewed…for 2 more seasons https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/cbs-renews-equalizer-through-season-4-1235141162/
  7. The London thing isn’t fully working for me either. It reminds me too much of Glee when the remaining original cast members graduated and the show followed them to NYC but still followed the high school characters. That didn’t work for me (and ratings started diving) and neither does this divided attention between London and New Amsterdam. I’m not sure why the writers thought this was a good idea
  8. I posted something from Soap Opera Network in the press topic that indicated Nancy should be back on screen early this month
  9. It is too bad they went ahead without Nancy and with a weak sub, but it’s possible that a big story like this couldn’t be postponed too long given what seems like more than a few moving pieces
  10. Maybe, but given she deleted the post he could have said nothing
  11. Third and final season premieres Tuesday, June 21 at 10pm ET http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2022/05/04/freeforms-summer-slate-sizzles-with-lineup-of-new-and-returning-original-series-159110/20220504freeform01/
  12. According to the Futon Critic, Secrets of the Zoo: Down Under, Season 3 is premiering on Sunday, May 15 at 10:15pm ET
  13. This was beautiful, yet so hard to watch. I lost my elderly parents in 2020, my dad 4 months after my mom. My mom’s physical health declined over the years with my dad being her caregiver, and then my dad got dementia. They kept trying to make it work in their own home, with my brother being their caregiver, but they ended up in assisted living, which alleviated a lot of stress. My dad went downhill pretty fast after my mom passed and we put him in a larger private facility with a memory unit until he passed
  14. Aww, I loved that ending with Claire showing up as a surprise. It was a good episode overall
  15. 10 episode audio drama by Juno Dawson on BBC Sounds, with Episode 1 released after the Legend of the Sea Devils Easter special on April 17 and each subsequent episode released on Sundays. 3 episodes have been released so far and are about 20 minutes each. It partly takes the form of a podcast with 3 women talking about the Doctor and people are going missing and forgotten. Various Who alumni take part, including Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor. My thoughts so far is that it’s very interesting in spite of a slow start with Episode 1 https://www.doctorwho.tv/news-and-features/bbc-sounds-spinoff-podcast-doctor-who-redacted#_
  16. I recall that was what was initially announced with the initial premiere, but showing only 2 episodes, than another 2 in the Fall doesn’t sound like a great plan. It’s possible though they are saving some episodes for the Fall
  17. Next documentary (plus a companion podcast): "The Greatest Mixtape Ever" premieres May 31 at 8pm. Looks at how 1990s streetball and the And1 Mixtape transformed basketball culture at large http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2022/05/02/new-espn-films-30-for-30-documentary-the-greatest-mixtape-ever-to-premiere-may-31-at-8-pm-et-312011/20220502espn01/
  18. I thought the plan was to visit all the provinces in Italy which is certainly more than 9. But maybe they couldn't manage much more with the pandemic, or these were all that were ready to release for now
  19. And usually for the better
  20. I’ve heard this as well. If it’s growing slowly, older men will likely die of something else
  21. Interesting as I had assumed it was going to be 6 episodes, especially since they had it paired with Nomad with Carlton McCoy which is 6 episodes
  22. Me too, though I got frustrated with Jamie not really trying to help himself. I was also a little appalled at Frank telling Henry's doctor not to tell him the cancer diagnosis
