The issues for those folks against CRT, at least to me, is that many don’t really understand what it is or at what education level it’s taught and most of their objections seem to suggest they don’t want to talk about racism or discrimination at all. Though I do think the quote from that historical person on there only being racist or anti racist was perhaps a little too provocative and I think it was a good idea to remove it from that school district’s writeup. I did have to give several side eyes to that person on the street Kamau interviewed who suggested you have to listen to both sides on things like the Holocaust. How he didn’t push back hard on them is beyond me

It looks like the Jan 6 hearings set for Thursday will be next week instead. I feel pretty certain the hearings today will preempt the show. And to note, I’ve set my DVR to record all episodes of GH, so hopefully it will catch episodes that have been preempted and shown the next day instead of refusing to record because it sees them as repeats

Yeah, they’ve always done that, kind of annoying. I knew who Billy Porter was and he certainly didn’t disappoint with what he wore lol. It was an interesting story

Steve Burton has filed for divorce

I kind of wonder if the Warner Discovery merger is the cause of this. They already have started cutting scripted originals from TBS and TNT and HBO seems to be killing underperforming originals (including recently The Time Traveler’s Wife)

Normally I would say yes, but maybe it wasn’t that much money for Warner Discovery to worry about. As the article suggests, if the producers find a new owner, those guys will probably pay TBS for the rights to both seasons or however that works

You know, I'm not at all surprised given the changes and cuts the head of Discovery has been making. I had a feeling we'd see some kind of update soon. The article says Pedrad is looking for a new home. Though at this point, I don't like this show enough to try to watch it elsewhere, so I'm essentially out except for maybe some news updates

The Jan 6 Committee will be having a public hearing on Tuesday at 1pm ET so there will likely not be a GH episode. There will be another hearing on Thursday, this time in prime time, so unless something breaks in the afternoon, there should be a GH episode as usual

It looks like it’s only 6 episodes for the season, at least according to the Futon Critic http://thefutoncritic.com/showatch/who-do-you-think-you-are/listings/ Given that it was said to be 13 episodes, it’s possible it will be shown in 2 halves, with the second half later in the year. Futon Critic seemed to suggest that early on

Regarding Valentine poisoning Laura, it’s possible Victor just wanted to drug her and make her start acting weird or seemingly on drugs to get people to question her being mayor, especially so soon after the recall attempt

TBS isn’t showing it on their schedule on their website, so it’s likely either been delayed again or quietly shelved. I posted a tweet to TBSNetwork and TVLine to see if they’ll answer. One of the TV critics might have an answer if they’re asked. It’s not my favorite show and I’m likely to give up on it at this point, but they shouldn’t leave viewers hanging like that

There were a couple of articles with the leads thanking the producers and HBO and lamenting the cancelation, which suggests they know it’s canceled canceled

There was also a 3 year delay between seasons due to the pandemic which likely didn’t help, especially with HBO not promoting it much. And networks blame the viewers for not watching

That’s sad and came as a surprise. HBO and the BBC were coproducers, so I wonder if the BBC will cancel it as well or try to find a new partner? The ratings on the BBC for Season 2 were about half of Season 1, so it’s possible the BBC will drop it as well

I know posters have been talking about it, but I don’t think I fully realized until today that the horse’s little stable is right next to a living room. Are they in a barn or stable or something else? That is definitely a weird setup

The first episode of America Outdoors was pretty interesting. I look forward to the rest of the season

This website is now saying the finale is August 10 and cited a journalist tweeting it. I’m sure someone will eventually get it right
