  1. Looks like today’s episode is preempted for coverage of the death of the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II
  2. She prodded them to check the status of their divorce and Curtis and Jordan talked about it and will look into it further
  3. I just finished watching this on HBO. It was entertaining but also overly hyperkinetic and jumping around that was a little hard to take at times. I guess that’s Baz’s style and it definitely wasn’t a standard biopic. I’m 59 so I remember very well Elvis dying but I don’t really recall much of his musical career as a lot of it happened before I was born or too young to pay attention or remember. Colonel Parker clearly did Elvis wrong and Elvis didn’t seem to want to push back until later. I thought Austin did pretty well as Elvis though I thought Tom Hanks was miscast or they made some wrong choices, especially with the choice of accent. I liked the musical numbers, especially the parts that showed Elvis’ earlier influences
  4. Like having a half brother in common (at least one)? Knowing the various relatives Sam and Dante have in common, they should have put a pause on having a relationship because it’s kind of icky if you can remember what relatives they have in common
  5. I’ve watched Part 1 and so far, it’s very interesting. I grew up knowing about Carlin in his counterculture time in I think the 70s. I never knew before about his wife’s alcoholism and how bad it got; that was a real eye opener
  6. The Creative Arts Emmys are tonight and tomorrow night and so far the show has won 2 Emmys, for directing and picture editing
  7. Always the con artist I guess, only now he’s more into anti-vax and I think apocalyptic stuff that makes him more dangerous. They really raked him over the coals in this episode
  8. I actually think the guy playing Dex has improved, though not by a lot. He was so wooden when he started
  9. FYI Of course, that’s presuming it’s not preempted for breaking news
  10. Nice to see some movement on a character finally revealing a secret with Val revealing his to Anna. Plus Elizabeth finally revealed her memory fragments to Finn
  11. Sneak peek of PBS Nature’s 41st season starting in October https://video.mpt.tv/video/nature-season-41/
  12. Laura Wright (Carly) and Cameron Mathison (Drew) were just on Good Morning America to talk about GH’s 60 years and working together. They seemed to have a good rapport
  13. For me, the best and most riveting parts of Part 1 were hearing from former insiders (other than Sarah and Mark and the other two) who had suffered from NXIVM's abuse. If we hear from actual insiders (or former now) for Part 2, I think it could be very interesting, even if Keith spouts gibberish and we get artsy fartsy film footage from Mark again. And it's 6 episodes vs 9 this time
