  1. I think it's clear Nell had trouble standing up for herself as evidenced by the lack of a kitchen table because the guy wanted his exercise equipment there. By the second episode, we see she is starting to stand up for herself, including getting a kitchen table, so maybe at some point, she'll refuse to walk the dog. That's definitely an over-the-line demand as were most of the other things the roommate demanded I don't think they explained it specifically, but I can see Nell telling her that she was writing her husband's obituary and recognizing the wife as part of her research for the writeup, she decided to go over and say hi
  2. The preliminary ratings for Wednesday has the pilot getting a 0.4 in the 18-49 demo and 3.474 million viewers; the 2nd episode in the show's regular 9:30pm ET slot earned a 0.4 in the demo and 2.797 million viewers. The Connors at 8pm earned 0.5 in the demo and 4.068 million viewers and Abbott Elementary at 9pm earned 0.5 in the demo and 3.081 million viewers. The first episode apparently did similar to The Goldbergs which is normally in that slot. So the show held up pretty well with the rest of the ABC comedy lineup. Hopefully it will be able to hold its numbers
  3. That went in an unexpectedly sweet way with the widow. I’m not sure we saw the dead guy leave though, did we?
  4. Warner Bros Discovery seems to be partially abandoning plans to fully merge Discovery+ and HBO Max. It will leave Discovery+ as a standalone and throw more Discovery programs on HBO Max I guess https://deadline.com/2023/02/warner-bros-discovery-abandons-plan-to-merge-hbo-max-discovery-plus-streaming-1235253134/
  5. This looks pretty cute from the promos, hope it holds up
  6. I can’t believe they got Ryan Reynolds for a cameo. Then the team ditched Andy for Ryan and then Ryan passed. It was funny how Andy reacted to being dropped
  7. So, Iris didn’t fake her abduction and the Sergeant really is a bad guy
  8. The Futon Critic says the season finale is on February 24 http://thefutoncritic.com/listings/2023/02/24/premieres/

    S01.E04: Andy

I figured the ending decision by Nikki to suppress the kidnapping by the nurse mom would be controversial. Boy that was a bad call and overshadows the entire episode and maybe the whole show. At least Mike expressed his misgivings and stepped away for the night. I already have a lot of issues with this show and this may just tip me over into giving up
  11. But we never saw Mr. Roarken with his first guest. And Elena is only human while he…was something else
  12. Niecy and Marty seem like a pretty odd pairing so I hope they do break up, especially given the kids/no kids divide
  13. I thought Scott was on trial for killing his son so the story definitely didn’t go the way I expected. It’s too bad the show didn’t go into depth on how the cops and other officials are helpless to stop a person before they kill by citing what they write in a journal. but that’s probably another show. I found the episode confusing through the first half, but it’s intriguing how the show centers on the defendant, so I’m willing to see how the next episode goes
  14. Yes, according to this and other articles
  15. HBO Max will stream next week’s episode 2 days early https://deadline.com/2023/02/the-last-of-us-episode-5-early-release-date-hbo-max-1235249199/
  16. I was surprised Robin Roberts' bungee jump in New Zealand was as controlled as it was. I was expecting she would jump with a cord tied around her ankles, which has to hurt and can't be good on one's knees or ankles. Her actual jump still looked scary enough. The scenery in New Zealand was really beautiful
  17. I enjoy this show overall, but I agree with the annoyance at the lack of urgency at times. I thought kidney donations were fairly safe these days. Is the concern that it would be a particular issue for a firefighter? The old guy refusing to leave his house was pretty annoying especially when he berated the firefighters for not working fast enough. They are making a special effort to save your house you ungrateful jerk. Plus he lied about not having his wife there. They should have just let the house be, except they didn’t know about the sick wife Vince and Sharon shouldn’t be doing so much PDA while on the job; it’s definitely unprofessional Freddy’s other set of funny lines was about the doctor inmate, after Bodie asked him if he knew he was a doctor: “I thought he was in for dealing drugs. Ohh, he was dealing druuuugs”
  18. The Futon Critic is indicating that the season finale (2 episodes) is on February 27 http://thefutoncritic.com/listings/2023/02/27/premieres/
  19. I thought the ghosts couldn’t touch things so how could they touch the box?
  20. Perhaps it still had it cached or the screen froze
  21. You think they would have thought of that before when they announced their mid-season schedule
