  1. Dominic Purcell, where he seemed to post stuff that hinted at his leaving a few weeks ago, although as far as I know nothing has been said yet so I hope I'm wrong.
  2. That's a debate we've been having in the Arrow section. It could explain him not being with his family for 20 years (if they're keeping that) and not have him be dead or "dead" allowing him to continue being a hero and "something else". But I can definitely also see it just being for the next two episodes and he dies again/gets reset with everyone else/goes to a pocket dimension/ whatever. It's a lazy costume but since any green costume is going to draw comparisons to his Arrow gear anyway I can see why they didn't bother much as well.
  3. It really depends on how long it goes on (and if it happens obviously) as to how much affect it has. '07 was brutal and lasted months. That's partly when/why reality TV really took off in a big way. I think this is MG's first time actually directing an Arrowverse episode. Love the Beebo orgy. I'm happy the show got renewed even though a combination of last season and the departures have really dampened my enthusiasm. I thought it probably would since they hadn't announced a final season beforehand. And I'm still worried about DP. But yeah, looking forward to them dealing with being famous and curious about Behrad.
  4. I think most of them are just old (some very old) promo pics as far as I can tell.
  5. Seems like it. I appreciate there are supporting characters on it that don't normally get to be on big crossover posters (or in the actual episodes) but each one is getting more and more lazy. This is supposed to be the climax of their big blow out event that they can't top. Get creative!
  6. I'm not in the slightest bit sure I want to meet "Dad" for real but if we have to then they're off to a very good start with the casting. I kind of assume it's going to be like Mum and it's not his true form, which would be too awesome/terrible/everything for mortals to behold, but not the body snatching of dead people Mum did. More like the angels, demons and devil forms for everyone. Timothy Omundson was fantastic as God Johnson but that was kind of as far as I wanted them to go, baring NG's voice over. However, I'm definitely keeping an open mind.
  7. Thanks. I haven't seen a huge amount of wrestling and what I was imagining was more of a very skin tight/skimpier gymnasts costume, and I often get distracted by the face paint. I guess he's agreed to it because it was part of what got him noticed as Arrow at the beginning, got people taking and watching and they're hoping to attract as much of an audience as possible to this show. And as @apinknightmare said it's for a much shorter time period so more of the year to relax the training and diet.
  8. Yeah the cut and colour of KC's hair do her no favours at all, especially with the tan. The face would suit a softer style much better. If the new show gets picked up I hope she changes it but maybe they'll want her to keep it so all three women have different colours/styles. RE: SA's comment. I assume he was joking.... Arrow's shirtless posters were good marketing for obvious reasons and he was shirtless training quite a bit but I can't think of a reason for a wrestler to be in speedos even with a skimpy costume? Unless it's one of those shows where the cast do really random promos and shots to get attention.
  9. CL looks great, this is one of my favourite looks on her, Sara always looks fantastic when she goes old school glamourous on the show as well. KC looks fine on the top half but that skirt seems intended to provoke an "oh I thought she was bottomless!" double take. With KM, I love the colour but I don't care how much tape or hell, superglue you used, I would be worried about things shifting a few millimetres without me noticing during the evening.
  10. I'm absolutely managing my expectations. I'm one of the people who thought it was possible, though not *that* likely that Felicity might die in the future storyline, saving everyone from her own creation, I was happy with what happened instead despite the horrible 20 year separation and Oliver's heartbreaking goodbye to both of them. I think it's also a case of the devil you know. We already know about the separation so that's one less potential "gotcha" twist. There are a lot of worse ways it could go, especially with free reign post Crisis. I keep telling myself they wouldn't have Oliver from Earth 19 or wherever it was be with Felicity and "our" Oliver as Spectre forever. Just about talked myself out of that one. 😉 Despite the description it just doesn't feel like they're setting up an Oliver on this Earth for the ending/backstory to the spin off and that's before we get into the statue and road named after him and spoilers about a probable "Endgame" style funeral in 8x10 with loads of guest stars. I freely admit I tend to look on the pessimistic side for this show and Oliver and Olicity in particular and again I would be ecstatic to be proven an Eeyore over this.
  11. It's always difficult to tell if particular plotlines are connected from the synopses. Half the time things that are mentioned are barely a blip on the radar of an episode. It does seem like there's a gossip worthy or "gossip worthy" probably "romantic" thing caught on camera for Vesper to crow about. It's a toss up whether it involves Sophie or not or it doesn't but she's jealous because she still thinks BW is Kate or the advice is completely separate. She does need to talk to someone, preferably someone neutral though. The Arrowverse is usually in real time so yes a couple of months for the trial. The only one who waited over 6 months for her trial was Moira Queen.
  12. Well this show hasn't heard of a maverick "lawman" cliché it didn't borrow and turn up to 11. Everything about it was as unsubtle as a sledgehammer. I tried it because I like the cast a lot (SD, YM, BTK etc) and I may give it another shot because of them, otherwise it didn't really hold my interest. There are other shows that do and have done the same concept a lot better, although obviously pilots are notoriously ropey.
  13. Very true and I think (very much hope) there's a "happy ending" for the whole family but IMO it's not going to be with Oliver and Felicity raising the kids happily ever after until Mia and William take up their old mantles. I would love it if it does happen but I think we're going to be kept in suspense until 8x10. Maybe it's an illogical weird quirk I'm having but I'm blocked on Crisis resetting that particular part whether Oliver dies again or stays as Spectre. Maybe I'm just too used to the sting in the tail with this show. True. I think it would be a mistake to completely erase that stuff because now they have time to explore it with the characters being more in focus, like how Sara's bloodlust, guilt and losing her sister has driven a lot of her story on LOT. But they can barely be bothered to keep anything consistent about Dinah now and Laurel's redemption struggles wax and wane.
  14. Whilst usually I'd say it was a waste and a cheat, I'm all for Lena finding out playing out differently after Crisis. Her "burn the world and still think I'm 100% the good guy" crazy act is beyond frustrating, even though she had the absolute right to feel betrayed. KmG is selling it like crazy but if it doesn't change some how I'm going to end up disappointed Crisis didn't wipe her out completely and I usually love the character. Very vague press release but obviously not surprising. "Complications" is probably an understatement, even though we don't know for sure it's a merged Earth.
  15. Me too. I can't imagine it's something she'd enjoy unless they reset her right back to pre Gambit, I can see Ray, Nate, Mick and Charlie all enjoying it for different reasons. Ray was pretty upset when he realised he was dead and the world just moved on and his legacy was a billboard with "Star City" taking four letters off its name, Nate jumped on being a superhero right away, Mick and Charlie are probably in it for the perks and Mick never had a problem with the notoriety of Heatwave. Although it says Tala Ashe also stars I guess this is credit only still.
  16. Press release for 5x01 is out: https://www.spoilertv.com/2020/01/legends-of-tomorrow-episode-501-meet.html Sounds like it could be pretty fun. I can imagine the others apart from Sara enjoying the spotlight for once. I assume it's a one episode only thing and not the new normal ala Zari.
  17. It could have lead to Oliver dying in Crisis and then getting resurrected to live a happy life with his family, since I do think they wanted Oliver dying to save his city at one point. Now he died to save billions and they have to opportunity to do both without it having to be an exact copying of TDKR. As for continuing the Spectre role? I don't know. He could end up deciding to sacrifice his life with his family to continue on to help others. Or maybe not. As you said, Crisis has give all shows the opportunity to do whatever the hell they want basically. I just find it a bit hard to believe that they're going to give Oliver a happy ending before the final scene of 8x10. That I'm sure is happy with "love saved the city" on the clapper boards. However Season 8 has surprised me in some awesome ways so as I said, I'll be happy to be proved wrong and Oliver and Felicity are happily together for 20 years and alive and retired when the new show starts. Though didn't Beth say the portal Felicity went through (original supposed to be post Crisis) was going to be referenced. And Lamonica Garrett is in the finale, which makes me think shenangians. I do wonder if they'll take the opportunity to scrub BS's background a bit. I think they'll want to keep her as the snarky one though, considering KC is much better at that and we know it's still E2. A new show plus Crisis gives them a opportunity to start fresh with all these characters but I'm less interested if they're all new versions straight away and I'm unsure about it as it is. LOT changed and grew a lot of the characters but they all started off recognisable from their parent shows.
  18. Free will to follow or not, fuck up or not is a very important part of many if not most world religions. Lots of books, movies, tv shows etc have explored that concept. For SPN to now decide it didn't ever even exist at least as far as Sam and Dean are concerned seems some pretty extreme character assassination for them for the sake of what was a very dubious storyline to begin with.
  19. You make a good point. Believe me I would love for The Smoak Queen Clayton family to spend the next 20 years together, they definitely deserve it, but I don't think that's how Crisis will shake out, whether Oliver has another death or has to do his job as Spectre or something else. And whilst I think Olicity will get a version of a happy ending, I don't think it's as simple as retirement to Bali (or wherever) explaining why they are offscreen whilst their kids take up the mantle. I would love to be proven wrong and 8x10 is partly showing how that happened. I wonder if the kidnapping victim is Connor who isn't adopted in this timeline?
  20. I would be really surprised if Oliver is currently alive with his family in this timeline. Everything she wanted might be with her mother and brother, maybe Connor as a boyfriend with the life that has a big pastel bedroom. I don't think they'd settle things with Oliver until the finale but we'll see. I do actually hope she remembers everything because whilst I get the potential of starting over with essentially new characters, I've also watched the old versions for 30 episodes, even though I do want the Queen family as a whole to have a combined happy ending. Not surprised about her becoming Mia Queen for the spin off and official title GA, whatever happens.
  21. From what I can remember of TTP, Astrid was more Black Best Friend and "secretly in love with main character Best Friend" than main love interest. She was frequently sidelined, which caused a lot of frustration in the fandom here. She ended up in a relationship with John but Stephen (main character) wasn't in the slightest bit interested and had several other love interests and Cara was much more the leading lady. And I was frustrated by that because I prefer MM over PL who really was cast in every Sci fi CW pilot for a while there. I think past CW experience is often essential for getting cast in a role like this but in S1 she wasn't a love interest anymore than the other three girls were reduced to "love interest". The sister bond is supposed to be the main relationship, although they have definitely struggled with it at times. Parker/Maddie is still dragging on and was the bigger deal in S1. I like Macy/Harry and I don't think it came out of nowhere - there was subtext in S1 but it is a little awkward for me, especially as they jumped straight into Darklighter Harry plot as well. This season I have no idea where they're going. It was a brave decision to completely reboot and get rid of all the supporting cast (or so we thought). But replacing it with SSS and random characters I care even less about, taking away most of the powers (cost cutting?) and the lives they had in and around the university for the generic bunker is all a bit dull. Abigail is certainly a welcome presence because PD is charismatic and lively but the gang are stupid to keep her there with them because she's proven they can't trust her and she's only ever on their side to save herself or secretly further her agenda.
  22. Just seen it and I liked it as long as I left any expectations of logic at the door. I think if they wanted all that then it should have been set up in a much more coherent way throughout the new trilogy but it also could have been a lot worse. I have been against a Kylo Ren/Ben redemption since TFA but it was done as well as it could be I think and I knew even though I was against it, it was always coming. No sure about them having that soulmate type bond in the force though. Adam Driver is certainly a good expressive facial actor. Han's scene actually made me tear up and Leia's wrap up storyline was done awkwardly but the best they could. Palpatine, meh, though IMcD was having a blast as always. I thought the death ritual was OTT and not particularly in character for a Sith who always personally wanted to live forever, not via biological legacy so I liked it when he realised there was an even better plan to absorb their bond power and rise again himself. It's still stupid that they went there with him surviving like the EU books that couldn't think of anything else to do than have yet another mad clone Emperor. Then again it was all pretty fan ficcy in general. Loved seeing the main new trio together and it makes me sad that we didn't see much of it before. I'm glad Finn actually had something to do in this one. Loved seeing Dennis Lawson's cameo, which I wasn't spoiled for.
  23. If that's what they're willing to pay him, good for him. I guess the exposure that he has recently from all thing Arrowverse, plus a foot in the wrestling world means everyone's banking on him bringing a fanbase. It's not surprising, I just hope for his sake it doesn't translate into a one and done. Even people who have never seen any version of Superman have probably heard of Superman and Lois Lane. In a series which eventually bowed to Comics Canon and went with Clark/Lois they had Oliver/Chloe end up together and Oliver had a relationship with every female character except AH's BC. Lois and a version of "Lena Luthor" were more important to him.
  24. I saw this and thought "OUAT without the real world" and lo and behold it's from E&A and then I thought "definitely going to be an "evil Queen is misunderstood and gets a happy ending in there for one of the stories." Though that one is also popular in other stories now as well. As for it's chances of being picked up without having seen any casting or script? Whilst something haven't gone their way lately OUAT did run for 7 seasons and was vastly popular at one point. This is their wheelhouse. And if you can get people to keep coming back to different stories in your anthology it negates needing pesky long term plot and character arcs that makes sense or making the characters look like morons by having the same storyline beats played out time and time again. The set up was sometimes the problem, especially with Season 7 but more often it was the follow through that was disappointing. Regardless I'll be here for the snark.
  25. When I first saw the headline I was expecting something more dramatic than let go for storyline purposes, which happens to many actors all the time. Whilst it's essentially the same thing in that an actor looses their job most shows never categorise that as "fired". It doesn't seem like there are plans to bring him back or he wouldn't have reacted in that way. I do think S3 might be the last though. Like @Morrigan2575 I think there's truth to both versions. If the "angry black character" thing is true I wonder if it came from further up the ladder than the show's EPs? This show certainly doesn't lack for BTS controversy though.
