I don't think the order of this was great. Why would they sit down with the girls as a group before they had even talked to Haley and Jake as a couple? They are the only ones who weren't interviewed as couple last night. They should have had them go, then Chris and Paige and ended with Chris storming off as a "cliffhanger" for this nonsense. The girls as a group could have been saved for next week, God help us. I cannot even believe I'm writing that. No way this thing needed to be dragged out for two weeks, but I think that would have helped the pacing and given Jake a chance to at least respond. It also corresponds the the time she ditched him in their hotel room, so I think that it has nothing to do with the sex for him. He just doesn't actually like her as a person.

This! It's really easy for her to smugly sit there and *wink, wink* imply it was terrible (which everyone has been assuming), but Jake was not even on at all last night to defend himself! That was pretty shitty of the show. I really hope he has something to say about her part there. She basically admitted that it was a drunken hookup so the whole thing was probably pretty sloppy and not great for either one. Everyone cannot wait for Chris to get off their tv, but I also feel like that about her. She has moved into top five worst women for me.

I think Ryan’s apology to his mom after admitting on camera that he wasn’t a virgin is verrry telling about why they refused to discuss sex with Kevin and why all he said on camera the entire season was “for sure”. His parents are ministers and he didn’t want to embarrass them on t.v. I think they are fine. His m.o. was basically “hey, Lifetime, thanks for the wife. You can go now.” 😂 And also, Oh shit - Haley actually went there.

I started following them both on IG and they seem completely happy and fine. I think the problems between them on the show were a manufactured storyline. I don't think Ryan liked being on camera at all , nor having to share his innermost feelings or having his sex life exposed on tv. I think the fact they turned down Couples Cam speaks volumes.

Same! I was so bummed she didn't get the pool! ;-p This! Also, one of the other gals has a baby - why no "mom this, mom that" about her? It's more impressive for this mom that she is competing at this level shortly after giving birth - Sandy's kids are older! I am glad they did this for the women. What really stood out to me is that so many of them have real jobs outside of ninja (Michele and Flex not included) so it makes it doubly impressive. It seems like a lot of the elite men now own or work in Ninja gyms and are training all day. The fact that these gals do so well while holding down a job like "JAG Lawyer" or "ICU Nurse" or "Teacher" is amazing!

Yes, it could be a whole lot of nothing since it has been discussed ad nauseam how many guy friends Virginia has, and how often she likes to go out partying with them.

MAFSfan re-shared this, but there was no video, only a rumor and a picture of her posing with a friend showing no ring. Virginia responded saying it was a selfie reverse image and it was her right hand, and also posted a picture of her hand wearing a wedding ring. Erik just posted pics with him, Virginia, Clara & Ryan. He has also posted recent pics for both of their dogs.

I feel like if couples cam was just a cash grab we would see more of these couples splitting up shortly thereafter, but the fact that mostly what we see on that show is people settling in to married life and starting families make me feel they are legit. I absolutely do think it’s a way for some of these people to parlay this quasi-fame into a social media presence they can monetize though because I see Jamie, Shawniece, Elizabeth, Danielle, Ashley, and Greg and Deonna hawking stuff constantly. AJ promotes his business. Plus Keith and Kristine are doing commercials during the show! The only ones who seem to just be here to record their lives are Austin and Jessica. As I said before, I think Erik and Virginia’s staying power is questionable, but maybe they’ll surprise me like Jamie and Elizabeth, and we’ll see if Gin Gin quits her mediocre job to start an Instagram business after this. I have no doubt Vinny will use this platform for exposure to help grow his business. Is it wrong that I like Clara and Ryan all the more for declining to do Couples Cam?

I am bored this Saturday afternoon so just for kicks and giggles I looked up the show on Wikipedia to see how often this happens and got sucked down a rabbit hole. By my calculations: There have been 44 total matches across all 12 seasons. 15 couples right now are still married. 34% overall success rate, although I would also include Jason & Cortney as a success, and probably Tom & Lilian even though both eventually divorced. They stayed together past the post-show expiration date. Including them, the success rate is 38.6%. Saying yes on D-Day but splitting by the reunion or shortly thereafter seems to be most common between Season 2-7. Out of the 18 couples from those seasons, 9 of those couples said yes but split shortly after that (50%!). From season 8 until now only one other couple has done this (Katie & Derrick), so it has (so far) become less common more recently. What is more interesting to me though is if you just look at season 8-12, the success rate has improved. There have been 23 couples since then, and 11 are still together (47.8% success rate). Considering there are only 15 couples still together and 11 came from these recent seasons says how crappy the matches from seasons 2-7 actually were. Of course, the flip is that while “the experts” have gotten more right recently, they have also at the same time cast some of the most wretched humans to ever grace this show in these current seasons: Luke, Matt, Zach, Brandon, Katie, Michael, Christina and Chris all were from Season 8 forward, and there is no justification for them picking any of these turds. I have my doubts about Erik and Virginia going the distance, but I feel ok about the other two. I guess time will tell? 😋 Sorry if I bored anyone with these stats. I find it fascinating!

Ok MAFSlifetime has posted a picture on sm with all of the couples participating in the new season starting in June. VA & Erik and Vinny & Bri are joining, but Ryan and Clara opted not to even though they are still together. Good for them I say. It looks like Amelia & Bennett are also out. More strange to me, Shawniece and Jephte are there. Does this mean we have to watch them record the demise of their marriage on this show??? How sad........

Seriously! This is taking dragging this shit show out to a whole other level! What do you want to bet it has to be two parts because Chris hijacks the whole show once again and they let him???? Enough already!!!!

I have to say I understand what PC means - she had so many opportunities to kick him to the curb but she either runs after him (like last night) or accepts him back or supports whatever bullshit is flying out his mouth as apologies for bad behavior, or talks him down in with her religiosity and baby whispers. She has enabled him to continue to pull his stunts and spew his lies. She had so many opportunities even going back to the day after the wedding when he said he wasn't attracted AFTER HAVING SEX WITH HER! to just be like "nope, I didn't sign up for this. I want out and I don't want any contact with him." But instead she has given him chance after chance after chance. In any other situation, we would be Team Paige, but her own behavior has been so frustrating I don't like either one now. By Decision Day, she is at least partly to blame by continuing to give him a platform.

Exactly! So what if he learned nothing? Other than the fact that his current wife is not the one for him? She actually sounds pretty fake and insincere spouting off about all she learned from this when she is exactly the same person who walked in on day one and she tried her worst to force her spouse to change to suit her expectations. I think he's just over this nonsense and it's his quiet way to refuse to play their game any longer. I think him saying he learned nothing is a lot more honest than Haley's answer or any of the bullshit that Chris or Paige spouted.

I said the same thing! That whole mess was excruciating to watch! I really wanted her to give him a swift kick in the nuts and a hard pass. This girl does not learn. And there have been some truly horrible grooms on this show but this guy takes the cake. Absolutely vile. My favorite moments with Jake and Haley were when PC asked him what if she wanted to try and he said “well she already had 8 weeks to try, so.....” and then him walking out first and not holding the door for her. Talk about mutual loathing....I will not miss them. Vinny and Brianna were sweet, even though she could do better. Her words “I found my person” and “ Vinny means the world to me” are what Erik is looking for from Virginia. Instead, they both acknowledge that her friends are more important to her than him. Messed up. I do not see them making it long term. Do we think Kevin will get Ryan to admit they have had sex on the reunion or that he has finally used the L word on Clara? I think the answer to both these questions is “for sure” 😂

He probably needed a moment to wrap his head around the fact that the "experts" would match him with someone so horrid on purpose! The saying "Pretty is skin deep, but ugly is to the bone" describes her perfectly. What a wretched human. He is a good looking, nice guy - he will find someone better than her, but good luck to her finding someone willing to put up with her garbage for long......

Totally agree with this - my Uncle was a pilot in the Air Force, and my cousin went to the Air Force Academy for college, graduated and became a pilot. He then went on to work at the Pentagon. Officers are educated and many times have long standing family connections. Kids who enlist as a private right out of high school are more likely the ones that don't come from family money. Erik's family strike me as the former, what with their private hangar and collection of planes......

Exactly! Xavius was at least nice and more genuine than that POS Chris! If he was open enough to go on a second date with the chubby girl who farts, he would probably would have been more than happy to see Paige walk down the aisle!

So True!!! What's making it even worse, is this new Unmatchables show that makes it hard to distinguish what exactly made those people worse choices than the ones who were actually chosen for this show! Because from where I sit at least half these people should have been candidates for that show instead of this one.....at the very least, this season would have been better if they had swapped Chris and Xavius..........

100%! Everything she answered was probably what I would answer too! And I have an average normal job and life. I actually laughed because I feel that the editing was done to really make it look like Ryan was extremely disturbed by her choices, what with the doomsday music every time she answered. I think that's just show manipulation. It really feels like the show is working overtime to make them look like a mess, but I don't think it's that bad in reality. Is it true love? I'm not sure, but I could totally see these two being real friends even if they do split up.

Ok, couple things. Brianna is so far out of Vinny’s league it’s ridiculous. She is a BOSS and he is a puffy over-sensitive questionably employed passive aggressive man baby. WHO CUT HER HAIR! What the hell was he thinking? She can do better, and I think he knows it. I wish she did. I really, really, really hope Ryan gets his shit together and tells this woman he loves her! I think they are the most naturally comfortable and compatible but for this nonsense storyline. Oh! And watching that flashback to Clara with the girls: she says “ I’m getting him off every night”.....and then SOMEONE ELSE says “and getting nothing”. We don’t hear what Clara says next! So who knows what Ryan is doing sex-wise? It might not be that she’s giving but he’s not - it could just be that she wants actual intercourse but he doesn’t......And on a completely superficial note, Ryan’s hair is terrible, but his ass is a thing of beauty....j/s....😜 Virginia finally looked nice at their dinner. I’m glad she relented on the post D-day living situation. He owns his place - it only makes sense for her to give up her lease and move in with him! Not forever, but at least short term. And if she doesn’t like how it looks, I’m sure Erik would let her redecorate however she wants! So ready for Jake and Haley to divorce. But at least they were more civil this week. I thought it was hilarious how they all said goodbye at the retreat, all to just say hello again when they get back to the place they all live? 😂

I actually think they are pretty toxic, just in a different way. He talks to her like she's a child, and she acts like one. It's not a good dynamic. Also, the alcohol fueled fights are not healthy, nor Virginia's refusal to wait until they are sober for serious discussions. Yet another thing they can't agree on.

But I think they were calling him that in Vegas which was before that moment where she said "that's so Vinny".

I don't - it might be inside jokes for things that happened in the group that weren't shown on the show? It does seem like he's been shown opening champagne bottles more than once, so maybe he just likes champagne?
