  1. I am in the middle of the UK season, so I will not open the spoiler tag, but this kind of gives it away.........
  2. Omg I can't believe I had to read to the third page before someone referenced Austin Powers! My husband and I were howling because this was that scene in real life! I cannot believe they attempted that on such a narrow street! 🤣 I was excited to watch this because I am heading to PV in a week, and this just got me pumped for my vacation! I've seen those spinning pole guys on The Malecon before and it is pretty incredible up close. Too many teams to keep track of at this point, but nobody too obnoxious yet. I do miss Rob and Corey though!
  3. I 100% agree. I don't watch any of the CBS reality shows except Amazing Race, so I had never seen Dan before this show started. I also don't watch any housewives shows or wherever MJ came from either. Dan was absolutely correct about Phaedra - nobody ever suspected her and she had a voting block that would stick with her to the end. I find her niceness completely as phony as her eyelashes. Her "you're a son of a bitch" was the real her. I usually root for the traitors for some reason, but I couldn't stand her, or any of these traitors really except for Kate (I do watch Below Deck! 😜) who was surprisingly a terrible traitor. I think it's hilarious that the gamers are all whatever, its a game, and all the bravo gals are pissed, although I don't blame MJ for being salty. No, she didn't really earn her place in the finale, but if they had just unapologetically said "we've been friends a long time and we didn't want to share the pot with a third person" it would shut that down. But if the point of banishment is to root out traitors, it is kind of shitty because they knew she wasn't a traitor. They just didn't want to share with her! I am glad to see there is a way for the faithfuls to win, but I do wonder if that would have happened if Phaedra had picked anyone besides Kate, and if there had not been a final murder before the finale. Still, overall an enjoyable season. Can't wait for the next one!
  4. Fixed it for ya 😉 I am having trouble following the plot here as I have completely forgotten what was happening, but I do love Harry and Darcy working together now. The pizza being a trap was hilarious. And maybe I am the only one who won't miss Sahar - I find her insufferable and she's not a good friend to Max - she's constantly putting him down. These kids look like grown ups now which is funny since no time jump?
  5. Make that a table for two! Flower has been my least favorite since the beginning and I am actually happy she's gone and would prefer for her to stay gone. Her relationship with Thor never made any sense to me compare to Hetty and Trevor or Nigel and Isaac. I am glad they released the owl. That is a wild bird that should never have been put in a cage! I am glad Jay was pissed about Sam accommodating Thor and his ridiculous idea about it. He's pretty understanding 95% of the time, but this was ridiculous. Favorite line was Hetty saying the family who lost their child would be joyous that there was a job opening for their younger child. I love how she plays this character - so horrible and oblivious!
  6. I think Trishelle should keep pushing on Phaedra - I think that now that TWO known traitors voted for her is about the most absolute proof that she is traitor that you will ever get in this game. If these people can't see that, then they are idiots. Then again, Kevin can't figure out how to say Parvati's name so........ I am looking forward to Kate taking on the role she is meant to play in this game.
  7. Sigh. This season was not my favorite. No Moses, barely any Duke - what is going on? Eliza right back where she started. I really liked the idea of her running a truly successful business with Nash. Now it's right back to the beginning again, except no Duke. Lather, rinse, repeat. I really need this show to move forward with Eliza and Duke or her career or I'm kind of done.
  8. My kids can't even read birthday cards and such when relatives send them something because of this! But these kids also live in the era of all information at your fingertips - if they really wanted to learn cursive all they have to do is Google it. I don't think anything is truly lost in this day and age. Still, it would be a lot easier for them to just learn it in school like all prior generations, and thankfully, it is getting put back in!
  9. 100%. And his initial awkwardness and then getting into it. My favorite scene of the episode(s), but probably not funny if you don't watch The Bear. But my husband and I howled when she said it! I wish they had let Ava be a blend of her "real" self and the competent principal. You can be good at your job and still be a fun person! I did laugh when she did the little bounce when she heard the music but was trying to resist. 🤣 And count me as one of the people perplexed by the cursive poster in a kindergarten room - it would make more sense in literally any of the other main characters rooms! I often feel like this show is kind of wonky with what each grade is doing when they focus on the kids - it never seems quite right and always takes me out a bit. Funny enough, here in California they are adding cursive back after about a 20 year break. My kids are SOL because they are in this in between and watching them try to read anything cursive is sad and shows why it should never have been stopped in the first place. Plus, their signatures look like they were done by five year olds, and they are teenagers!
  10. I think when he said "game play" he was picking the person he 100% believes to be a faithful. I feel like CT is playing both sides and hasn't really picked an alliance. I think it was absolute hubris for peter to not join the traitors. It would have been tricky to navigate, but the odds of winning are much higher as a traitor. I hope this is just a stay of execution for him and he gets banished next. If Parvati was smart, she would encourage that theory of Trishelle about Phaedra.
  11. I think more than anything, having a block of housewives on this show has altered it somewhat because now you have people who came in as a "group" so to speak and they are a voting block unto themselves. I think Dan calling out Phaedra was the only way she doesn't win this thing, so for the long game it was disastrous for her, even if she refuted him in the moment.
  12. What a great episode! I am happy Dan is gone - he was really terrible at this game. I do kind of love that he called out Phaedra and not Parvati - Phaedra has too much power at this point, and I love that Trishelle is now going hmmm.......maybe there is some truth to what Dan said....... I think both Parvati and Peter are now in a tough position. The smart thing is to accept because the deck is stacked against a faithful ever winning. But even if he accepts, I think Parvati is toast. He can't reverse on her after everything he's said about her being next without looking super suspicious, and I don't doubt for a second that Phaedra would turn on her as well. Honestly, if Peter is as smart as he seems he should work on getting Parvati out and then Phaedra and recruiting someone weaker, maybe someone like John.
  13. I don't watch Big Brother, so I don't know Dan at all, but holy shit, he is the worst traitor ever! How can he not see that hanging back and saying nothing IS NOT WORKING!??!? When every single person at the table is pressuring you to give something, ANYTHING, and you say nothing, it is ridiculously suspicious. I'm working on something? That is such a dumb thing to say in this game! I love Kate, but I don't see why she was brought back. It reminds me of when a new person joins The Circle - too much has already happened and the new person is at a disadvantage. It would have been more interesting if she had been made a traitor. And useful seeing as Dan's days are limited. I hope Phaedra and Parvati turn on him. I truly hope Bergie has the shield and shows up for breakfast. I can't wait to see Dan's face.
  14. I think they frequently use faulty logic in this game - people latch onto the dumbest reasons to tag someone as a traitor, and the fun is watching everyone fall in line because they don't want to go against the group. Rather than looking at people who stick out, I think the better strategy is look at people in the middle - very nice, mostly holding back but offering an opinion when pushed, trying to be friendly with everyone.
  15. I did! I honestly forgot! I've binged three in a row and then switched to watching the Australian version - I'm all confused!
  16. Which is the stupidest reasoning - wouldn't you want to keep strong guys for the challenges to raise money? I never understand when they say that they are looking for traitors at the challenges - it is in everyone's best interest to raise the pot! The time to look is when everyone is hanging out in the house - who is talking to whom? What are they saying? I am so obsessed with this show - I love the psychological aspects of it. It is fascinating how someone says one thing and it gets blown way out of proportion and then its total group think and peer pressure to eliminate someone on the flimsiest reasoning. Also, the crazy balance of speak up and voice an opinion so you don't look wishy washy (Dan) but don't put yourself out there so far that you have a target. It's completely fascinating. And how long do the traitors keep a united front before turning on each other? And if someone actually calls out a traitor, they can't easily murder them because it puts the suspicion on them as a traitor. I love it. I don't know why, but I'm always rooting for the traitors. They needed to get rid of Larsa. She's the ring leader, but not definitely not the brains......
  17. All of this. I watch many TV MA shows and I'm not a prude, but that felt jarring and added for shock value only. I don't need that much graphic sex in my murder mysteries especially in the first fifteen minutes where I don't even know the characters! It was also jarring to see the nasty brother being played by the guy who is Frasier's son Freddy in the Frasier reboot. Talk about opposite characters! "Not delightful" is an understatement. Imogene is not likeable in any way. Maybe they are trying to model her on Mabel from Only Murders - cool girl with a sad past and tough as nails? But this gal is not Selena Gomez - I just don't like her at all. Hopefully this gets better because the concept is right up my alley....
  18. That is the biggest worry! I wouldn't even call this a cliffhanger. Of course he's going to survive. Maybe this is the catalyst for the two of them to finally get over themselves and get together? I can only hope.
  19. That is a discussion for that thread, but I fluctuated between Leslie and Larry. I was thrilled when he was cast in this show. He is the perfect Tristan!
  20. I waffle between feeling like this and frustration as a book reader. The show is lovely as is, but it's definitely straying from the books. I could live with whatever plot they are taking with Audrey, but I do miss some of the animal stories from the books. There are so many good ones, and it seems they are determined to focus more on the human drama at Skeldale than the book stories. I also miss Callum Woodhouse. It's not the same without Tristan. I did love when Sigfried questioned Helen and she was like "If I said I did something I did it". She really sold it there, despite screwing up and ordering a lifetime supply of gauze!
  21. He wasn't that kind of minister - he was a low level government official. Not sure how his "hunting accident" story for his wife will fly considering his was in town the whole time..... I always find the mysteries on this show kind of silly, but I just love Eliza and Duke, and I've grown fond of all the other characters as well, with the exception of William's boss. It must be frustrating to work your ass off for an incompetent crony only to be threatened with sacking at every victory.
  22. We watched the last episode last night after parceling them out slowly over the holidays to enjoy them more, and I have to say this is one of my favorite shows of 2023. The ending is such a cliffhanger, I really really hope there is a season two to adsress some of the lingering questions: Will Jack be released for saving Belle's life? I don't see him being Fagin's convict servant.... And will Jack and Belle be able to be together? Probably not - Belle's mom will never forgive him, but Papa is wavering after he saved his true love......speaking of, what happens to her for turning over the gold? I am sure there questions about how she got it! Will Sneed treat him better now that he knows Jack is a better surgeon than him? Also probably not....... What happens with Oliver? What does Fagin do now that he has a full pardon? I really need to know all of these things? This show was too good to only be a miniseries that ended with so many loose threads!
  23. I do too! They both seem like actual friends and their conversation feels natural. I hope this doesn't get strung out too long - Marion can only get away with so many broken engagements before getting some kind of reputation!
  24. I actually like Gladys, but I found the Buccaneers so bad I turned it off after two episodes. Despite my dislike, it has been done there, and Downton as well for that matter.
  25. I totally agree that Peggy is a main character.......on a different show. On this show, her story seems shoe horned into the rest of the story and isn't connected in almost any way so it feels like a different show inside this one. I find it frustrating on both ends - every time the story moves to Peggy I wish it didn't, but I think if Peggy's story was examined in it's own space, it would be fascinating. Black middle class northerners in the post-Civil War era is not something I've ever seen on TV and I would definitely watch!
