  1. This. My nephew is just a couple of years younger and the thought of him being married blows my mind. He’s a great kid but he has his moments where he’s moody, irrational, and immature because he’s a literal child without a fully developed frontal lobe. Normal, socialized kids around Justin’s age are a hot ass mess because their brains and bodies are still figuring out how to function properly. They have no business getting married.
  2. Can I just say that it warms my heart to see all of these snarkers genuinely happy for Izzy and his new adventure in the public school system? I’m in the middle of professional development to start teaching remotely for the first quarter and after a long week of frustrated educators, seeing everyone show joy for this little Duggar grandchild was what I needed.
  3. “We have unprotected sex during our most fertile years and keep having babies! How is this even happening?!” *giggle, giggle, giggle*
  4. These pictures remind me of middle schoolers trying to show their absent friend how much fun they’re having without them. “Too bad you got married, look at how much fun we had playing mini golf without you!”
  5. It was actually interesting to see the buddy teams interact with one another in a competition. Jessa’s snarky buddies had no trouble taking on her competitive/outspoken nature (“He’s 54, I know he’s 54!), while absent Jill’s team was more unsure and trying to do everything by the book until the add on buddies (Austin and Tyler) stepped in. I’m fascinated by how they still take on the traits of their lead buddy.
  6. Jennie was a wreck when Jill got married, but Jill was by far the closest to her buddy group. My sister (8 years younger) wept when I left for college too, so I don’t think it’s necessarily out of the ordinary for younger siblings to cry when separated from the older adult sibling for the first time, especially if they have a close relationship or if the sibling is a surrogate parent.
  7. “Ju...there’s a Justin?!” -#SayingsofSpurgeon, probably. Spurge and Henry struggled with those Howlers. They know there’s a James, and a Jase but not a Jason or a Jeremiah. Referred to Jed! as “Jedidiah Duggar”. Literally couldn’t place Justin.
  8. Alright, go off Amy. Edit: it’s also Jim Bob’s birthday. Make of that what you will.
  9. It might make me part Duggar, but I’m not even mad about her motion sick remedy. Sometimes I douse plain chips in malt vinegar and salt. So delicious!
  10. I noticed in the last episode the producers asked Henry how old he was and Spurgeon answered, without missing a beat,“I’m two and a half.” Henry will always need subtitles if his precocious brother always answers on his behalf.
  11. It might be generational or regional, or even based on social class. It’s never occurred to me to dress up for a baby shower. Most showers I’ve been to (I’m at the age where there are a ton), the mother is even dressed pretty casually.
  12. It reminded me of when my dad made me wear Goodwill clothes. It didn’t even matter if they were boys or girls, cheap was the word. I knew they were ugly and so did the other kids. The only saving grace for Josie is that the only other kids she knows are also in those clothes, but then again they have millions of people watching and critiquing.
  13. Producer: In one word, describe your style. Jordyn: Cool. I don’t know, not really! Josie: Ugly. These prairie dresses are not it for Josie.
  14. She looks so much more authentic here than she ever did in her Citrus and Lemon days.
  15. I don’t know who looks like JB, but Deanna looks like James in a bad wig.
  16. This is interesting that the readers voted her last because Kristy has always been (and is to this day) Ann M. Martin’s favorite. I feel like she put the most time into Kristy’s character/personality because she was based off of her best friend.
  17. I can’t decide if Nelson is stupid or an incredibly exceptional friend. I don’t think I would’ve done that for my best friend. I’d like to say that I would but... Also glad that we can stop playing “Spot Dee.”
  18. I went to NYC for the first time last year and was thinking of Stacey the whole time. My sister thought I’d lost my mind when we passed the Dakota and I started talking about the BSC and Laine. I’m still such a nerd.
  19. What Derick is saying makes sense. I think about how miserable and disconnected Jill looked when Israel was young and right after Sam was born, and that matches up with when this JB drama started going down. She couldn’t seem to connect with her kids or really do anything right, she appeared to be a nervous wreck. If you’re falling out with the person, who in your eyes basically hung the moon in the sky, that would explain some of Jill’s odd behaviors back then.
  20. Maybe they wanted to give James time alone with his sister mom while chaperoning from a distance. Or Cracker Barrel has a seating limit. 😉
  21. It looks like Jill got to see James today. I’m glad, she seems to care deeply about her buddies.
  22. Karen didn’t get glasses until the 5th Little Sister book, which took place well after the wedding and Kristy’s family moving in. I figure they’ll give her glasses later on in the timeline. MA wore reading glasses sometimes in the books (there was a chapter about it in her portrait collection book), and both actresses had scenes where MA wore them in the previous tv series and movie (I think it was just one scene each though).
  23. All of this! The MA actress is so adorable and kind! I sent her a little note telling her how dang proud I was to see a black MA because so many of us finally felt seen and she responded in the most humble way. I hope she goes far. Dawn was always my least favorite sitter, but she’s easily one of my favorites in the tv series. If I didn’t already have the books to tell me that I was MA4EVER, she would probably be my favorite.
