  1. This was a lot to unpack. The focus on the OB and Dr. K made me think they are somehow connected. It could’ve just been that they’re both voice of reason OBs (Kevin’s very own Dr. K) but perhaps Madison’s OB is Dr. K’s grandson. Of course that would mean Dr. K’s grandson AND the Pearsons somehow made it out to California so I digress. My mom thinks that Nicky is married to Cassidy in the future. I hated the idea at first but we don’t see Nicky enough for me to have to deal with Cassidy too much, so I accept. Randall and Kevin both suck. Randall is manipulative. Kevin has historically been an asshole. Randall shouldn’t have said that Jack was ashamed of Kevin. Kevin shouldn’t have said that he would’ve saved Jack and he also shouldn’t have pulled the adoption card (although I’m genuinely surprised it took 40 years). It’s really a pot meets the kettle situation.
  2. I was going to say something similar. The OB is his grandson (his daughter was at least 25 by the time TB3 were 1), and the redhead may factor in somewhere down the line with the next generation. But that would also mean that both families somehow ended up in California, so maybe not.
  3. From Jinger’s stories. She likes Chicken Tiki Marsala and her favorite show is Madam Secretary.
  4. Jinger strikes me as being very insecure. Her “no makeup” comment was probably her attempt at beating the haters before they could judge her—on Instagram and in her psyche.
  5. I watched the whole thing. She took 2 negative tests in two days before her missed period. On the third day when she didn’t get her period she got a positive— just before Austin’s birthday. She made an ornament to tell him. She put the ornament and pee stick in a box. He closed his eyes and opened the pee stick. She started spotting at around 8 weeks and the doctor had concerns it would be a molar pregnancy because her numbers were wonky. They had genetic testing done at 10 weeks and everything appearened fine. It’s a girl due August 19.
  6. About halfway through Randall’s second hissyfit, I couldn’t help but think “I bet Jack is glad he went back into that house.” His birth mom should consider herself lucky as well. Holy crap, Randall is exhausting.
  7. Ugh, every now and then they say something that tugs at my heart. It’s a pleasant surprise to see him take notice of his priveledge. This is actually a very real and scary situation for international families in our country. I teach ESOL students and I’m stressing because they don’t have access to a lot of resources at the moment. When we left for Spring Break on Friday we had no idea that we wouldn’t be seeing our students for many weeks. Many of the teachers in my school are kicking themselves for not sending home extra snacks and non-perishables. Anyway, good for Derick for acknowledging that others have it more difficult than he does during this weird time.
  8. I did not like that at all. I feel like they’re doing everything in their power to show us that Rio is bad and that we shouldn’t be rooting for or humanizing him.
  9. According to IMDb, Dawn is in less episodes than the other girls so I’m thinking they’ll follow the books pretty closely! Alicia Silverstone would’ve been perfect as Maureen McGill.
  10. It’s so funny looking at this as an adult because the actresses seem so YOUNG. They’re probably the same age as the sitters give or take but it’s so strange because reading these books and watching the first show/movie, the girls seemed so mature and old. Claudia looks spot on perfect! Dawn’s one character trait other than being an obnoxious vegetarian from California was her “looooong blonde hair,” which I found obnoxious. Making her Hispanic was a good choice. I’m really excited for this. Side note: I love that the actress who plays Mary Anne is biracial. I always identified most with MA, but was a black girl so I had to be a Jessi by default at recess. It’s a little thing but this made my day.
  11. Yes but identifying as a Christian wife wouldn’t necessarily make anyone assume that their views are as abhorrent as they are. They’re on a totally different level. Question for the masses that I’ve been thinking about for awhile: IF Jinger were to get a real job, do you think she would be able to maintain it without people calling in and exposing her views—sort of like with these partnerships?
  12. Well, now that Ben’s frontal lobe is almost fully formed, it’s possible that he realizes he goofed and marrying the hot girl from the tv probably wasn’t the best course of action. What we want at 19 is much different than what we want at 25. The same could be said for all of these marriages, but Ben clearly had goals and ambitions that he thought his marriage would help him with but they have gone nowhere.
  13. Yet there are breastfeeding women all over the world who are separated from their children for hours at a time (an entire day!) and the kids are still able to be fed.
  14. Jill’s hair might be a version of “You can’t take the Duggar out of the girl.” She knows she’s seeing her family so she reverts back to the scrunched perm look, maybe on purpose or maybe subconsciously. Just like Jinger goes back to only wearing dresses—although that’s probably fully intentional on her part.
  15. Felicity: “Are they always this embarrassing?” Ivy: “You’re lucky the one they call Pops isn’t here. Just get on the plane and don’t look back.”
  16. Yeah, I wouldn’t worry about sending my little imaginary black children to play with Israel after school because Jill and Derick don’t seem to be wildly uncomfortable around people with pigment in their skin. Despite some of their other short falls, they seem to be open to other cultures to an extent (homophobia notwithstanding). Some of these other fools? Nope.
  17. Jessica’s situation with her dog half explains why she was such a basket case on the show. But still, girl. Also, I accidentally on purpose spoiled myself by over analyzing the houses shown on the show and the setting of the contestants Instagram pictures since filming wrapped. The comments are hilarious because everyone else is doing the same thing.
  18. I think he saw the light pretty early on, possibly with the help of Cathy. She made a few snarky comments the few times she was on the show. “Now you can finally talk alone” and “I followed the same book as you (in reference to Michelle saying she raised a Godly man).” She seemed to have little patience for their rules and holier than the next Christian attitude. If she was able to get those jabs in on camera, I can only imagine the ear full she gave him behind closed doors.
  19. Joy has been so classy and loving towards Carlin and her new daughter. I was going to say “for a Duggar”, but no, “for a human.” I wouldn’t blame her one bit if she needed to pull away for the sake of her mental health but her posts have been lovely.
  20. I wonder if Henry’s delays could also stem from having a brother who does enough talking for BOTH of them. Having a precocious/talkative sibling can sometimes make the other one retreat further into their shell because there’s simply no reason to talk if the other is blabbering on all the time. 😂
  21. Jessa: “I’m trying to figure out who she looks like cause y’all have similar features.” She has no chill. 💀
  22. My grandma always told my dad to learn how to cook “just in case you marry a woman who can’t cook.” So he minored in Home Ec. Maybe Guinn taught Ben “just in case.” 😉
  23. I loved the Days reference. NBC references the show a lot, but I’m also messy and love that both of Justin Hartley’s ex-wives were on Days. Keep it in the family. As soon as Kevin left Pittsburgh, I knew it would be Madison in that bed. I think it’s been speculated several times over that she’s the mother, but that feels so easy. I wouldn’t mind Madison because I like her, but I also want to be surprised. Same with Sophie. I really loved her in this episode but it would be ridiculous for her to go back to Kevin yet again, when he’s let her down so many times before. I feel like she deserves better.
  24. And they would’ve been born in alphabetical order! That may have changed some of their names though. I remember when Anna was talking about picking a “name theme,” Jessa looked looked like she wanted to pop her.
  25. My high school science teacher was Mr. Spurgeon. He once gave us a talk about getting checked out if any parts of our bodies smelled fishy....so we know what I think of when I hear Spurgeon. 😂
