Ironically, the DCC instagram has Kristin doing a Merry Christmas sign language spot a few days ago. And then they do this hatchet job? I’d have more respect for them judging the dance than distorting the message. And Gina deserves better for her solo than to have a rookie doing a half screen with her. Fuck the editing this year.

If there had been interviews and solos before training camp, this would be a different outcome. But the rookies came in knowing the dances and got days with Kelli and Judy, I think it made a big difference. Is the flowing top in now? Before only VK wore it for solos and now they’re all floating around the stage looking ethereal. Meredith was never a favorite of mine, but that was a brutal cut. Maybe they should stop bringing Kelli’s pet projects onto the team every year. They rarely last. Lots of lax mask wearing this episode. It goes OVER the nose people.

I hope Tess retires, she’s one that hung on too long and defined the word “blender”. Of course I may be salty because of her missing leadership skills in group 4?

Is today the last home game? Feel bad for the rookie cheerleaders who never got the reveal, the family night, the season of being able to post, all for a reality show that won’t name them until after their first season is over DESPITE being in a uniform for 8 games.

Travis Wall is my favorite guest choreographer every year. He brings such joy to the show. I’m trying to remember what else happened. Meredith struggled, okay that’s normal. Kat is back, okay that’s normal. Maddie spoke. That’s rare. I want Caroline to find a new hairdresser. Hannah, I feel you. This year is so tough that what brings me joy normally isn’t doing it. But you are a diamond. Rookies, Jada is tall, and that’s their only issue with her? I still don’t know the rest of them. Season is flying by.

I thought Jonathan and Zoey were adorable together, but I’m a sap these days.🤣 Too bad they didn’t have the budget or time to do an add on. That’s a tiny place to raise 2 children in.

Things we learned this episode: The stadium is BIG. Meredith struggles. Kat is lost. No one can do that entrance properly. So, same as last year? Stadium entrances matter because 80,000 people are watching YOU. In reality, the normal entrance is before kickoff when most people are watching a beer line move slowly. Happy to see cow’s girl go home, Sheridan should have been cut last week, and no clue who Kelly was.

Who had “Arrogant Jeans” in their 2020 DCC bubble bingo? I derailed the thread with denim. Next week, I’m going for belts or a hair clip or something. Lord, people are doing Twister levels of reading into things to prove a point. 😂

Wish we got more of the vets, but this show loves their rookie projects. Shannon was weird in her cut “oh well, I wanted to be a cruise ship dancer anyway”. Way to say the DCC are second choice. Why even bother to bubble? Hi Charm and Denise. Flashbacks made me really miss Bridget. She was a star.

Bless their misguided hearts. I can see players having fans, but a cheerleader? And a rookie one? What the hell are those pageant people smoking? This is not a way to approach a job. Talk about helicopter parents. Are they going to stand in the parking lot and wave signs when she gets a non dance job? Get matching jackets and shirts? Get over yourself people. This is a $200 a week part time job showcased on a 10 pm Tuesday night cable channel people forget exists. And it’s embarrassing. 😒 She’s one of 36, not THE ONE.

Which rookie called them “The Dallas Cowboys Cheer TEAM”? Kelli would explode into blue and silver pieces if she heard that. 😂

It’s sad people are sending Laura hate. This show has been my Friday night break for weeks. I make a good dinner, grab a dessert and settle in to watch posh bakes with unfamiliar ingredients (except passion fruit, I never want to hear that word again). The group was supportive of each other, and we got a show during a pandemic, where the bakers left home to voluntarily quarantine. So many people gave up a lot to get this on air. I thought Matt was lovely to Laura when she was melting down. Sorry to see Hermine and her beautiful accent and bakes go, but when she made up a new recipe and then started winging it, everything went wrong. I’m going to miss this show after the finale.

Oh Mark, when you’re told your cake isn’t good, don’t ask them to try another layer. That’s when “inedible” happened and you got yeeted. A lot of the steamed buns were adorable, Peter’s sheep were my favorites, but that could have been their wee little pen making me happy. Congratulations to Lottie.

Norwood and the psychic. I went between love and loathe with them. I loved his energy and creativity, but the constant “the vibe is haunted” from her got too much. And by the end, it was like a pilot for a potential tv show.

I’m kind of happy that Clare isn’t faking it with any of the other men. She has her future ex fiancé picked out, she’s not on every guy’s lap or leading a decoy #2 along, and Dale is secure in his spot with no second thoughts. The goal is one mate, not 10. Zac should have been booted for grabbing her when she tried to get away. Good for her walking out and not doing the night date. After Yosef or whatever screamy dad was named, she was probably over it. Kaitlyn slept with 2 guys and is still dragged for it. And of course the double standard of most of the Bachelors sleeping with at least 2 or 3 of the fantasy suite picks is okay. Props to Sean Lowe for being “nope, not doing it with any of them”. Not looking forward to Tayshia. But the guys not named Dale will be thrilled.

I didn’t know how much I missed the words “rough puff pastry” until I watched the show. Whoever does the drawings of the desserts deserves all the awards. Beautiful every time.
