I hope all of you are also watching "An Extra Slice", I really enjoy it. It's my first exposure to Jo Brand (I'm from Canada) and her dry wit is my favourite type of humour! Diana was near tears in her short interview with Jo, she just didn't want to re-live the story again.

I was fascinated with the Swedish princess cake - I'd never heard of this before. The layers upon layers, the whipped cream dome, followed by green (why green?) marzipan! Timing really was of the essence here, need all your ingredients to cool before assembling. Looks delicious and rich, though.

Yeah, they're a great pair. What has driven me nuts these past few weeks though is the horrible baggy pants they are both wearing, especially Mel. Why, why, why?

So I'd like to know when they sprang the 'surprise' on the guests that the wedding was going to be in Florence instead of Paris. As was reported a month or two before the wedding, to get married in France the couple have to have resided there for 30 days prior to the wedding, which neither of these nitwits did, of course. I'd be pissed if I was a guest at a wedding and learning a day or two beforehand (after arriving in Paris and making hair appointments, etc. in prep for the wedding) that no, the wedding will be in Italy instead. Then have to pack up my stuff and schlep it onto another plane and scramble for hair appointments, etc. Jesus, just let everyone know the plan beforehand.

So I guess he's back with his wife after the American Baking Challenge fiasco. I liked the American version, did he also judge any other international versions?

I'm new to the series - what was the squirrel shot? Also, is each episode really filmed each weekend, and the bakers go home for weekdays? How do the eliminated bakers keep the story from their family, do they practice for next week's challenge even though they're out, and go away for the weekend anyway? How much info on the upcoming challenges are the bakers given before-hand: I guess they don't know which specialty the next weekend will be, but since they're allowed to practice they must have some idea what's coming?

So Tori's bragging about renting an SUV and driving all the way home to LA? If I'm not mistaken, on the first episode they gave us the impression they drove up from LA with the kids and Patsy in their own SUV... another lie, then.

CDAN revealed a blind yesterday that Kendra is going the "True Tori" route and putting their marriage troubles on camera...

Tori IS obsessed with poop, as is their entire family. I had the pleasure of reading about this obsession in her newest book. It's nasty I loved the antique dealer not giving into any of her negotiations. Poor guy probably had a coronary when he saw what she did to that nearly 100 year old wicker outdoor furniture that he tried so hard to hang onto - painting it bright blue. Why be so determined to buy an antique set if you're going to 'spice' it up with a modern paint job? What a waste...

Not only does the Dayton/David name change seem strange, it appears Gabriel has started calling himself "Robert". I first saw this last week on the mission statement hung on the wall in one of the houses, the one that each family member signed last year in their big ceremony - there was a large "ROBERT" on the bottom, and that totally confused me, as I couldn't recall there being a Robert in the family. Then on the last show (in the restaurant maybe?, Kody was calling out some kids' names and said "Robert" ... so by process of elimination, it must be Gabriel who is wanting to be called another name, perhaps his middle name. Hmmm...

So Tori and Dean: Cabin Fever has premiered on CMT Canada. By the looks of it, it was also supposed to be on HGTV in the US, but I don't see it on their website - was it shelved? Anyway, what a fake, fake, fake show. Apparently taped last summer in Ontario cottage country, they buy a fixer-upper cottage and are working to make it a family retreat.
