  1. I am so glad that Truely loves to read. When I was in 2nd grade we moved to another city. Right next door to a library. That summer we all got library cards so we could check out books. If I wanted to get out of the house, I would just say I am going to the library. I would stay there for hours and bring home a huge stack of books. Up until 2019 I read as much as a working adult could. But since then I haven't really read much. from my seat I can see 1984 which I started a few years ago and it is sitting on top of Go Tell The Bee's That I Am Gone, which I also started a while back. Surprising I never read 1984 in school. I did the kindle thing and the Nook thing, but it just doesn't feel the same as having a book in your hand. I didn't have as much interest in reading it. It's great for going on vacation or a place where it's not practical to bring a lot of books.
  2. It will count any arm movements even if you are not walking. If you are pushing a shopping cart it wont count your steps because your arm is not swinging back and forth like it does when you are walking. I noticed this too thinking I should have more steps than I do. My previous job I moved product 12 hours a day with a pallet jack and between my phone and step counter I was walking between 8-12 miles per shift depending on how much I had to move around. My current job I average 16,000-21,000 steps a day if we work 12 hours. Right now we are on 8 hour days and I still get close to 14,000 a day. My poor feet always hurt as we have to wear steel toe shoes.
  3. I never really thought about it before. I started to school in a very small town. It was so small that everyone was in the same school. At the time probably less than 200 students. We moved when I was in 2nd grade to another small city with portable buildings, was there for 3rd and 4th grade, then went to a different school for 5th, another for 6th a different one for 7-8, then to high school. That same city it depends on where you live as to what elementary school you attend. 6-7-8-9 each grade has it's own building. They recently built a new HS. Which is now at capacity, so they want to build another one.
  4. I think what everyone is mad about, was the fact that because of K&R spending habits, that there was no money left for them to pay off CP so Janelle could start building her house. She said the money was there at one time to pay it off, which was why she was so upset. I sort of agree with other posters that over the years Janelle probably put more money into the family pot, for everyone to use than anyone else in the family. Until they got the TLC show.
  5. I might have to check it out one day. It's about an hour from where I live.
  6. Dayton/David seems a lot like my son in law. He has not been formally diagnosed. But has/had a lot of the signs as a child and adult. One thing he still does when busy doing something at home is he rocks back and forth. My daughter said he doesn't even realize he is doing it. He is always anxious about social situations. Finds it hard to understand what others are thinking or feeling. It's hard for him to make friends. Doesn't do idle chit chat. But like many others he is a functioning adult, yes my daughter often has to be able to take a call from him when he is at work and needs to talk about something that is happening and she helps to walk him through it. But he takes care of his own laundry, bills, some things my daughter deals with when it comes to getting the car worked on etc. He doesn't really like to interact with strangers. But I feel if he was formally diagnosed and could get therapy to help him cope with those things, it might be a little better for him. I feel like Dayton is probably on the same level as my SIL, Educated and capable of doing most things for themselves. I'm no expert, but this is just from my observations.
  7. I haven't had a chance to get my hair cut and colored for over a year. But you are right it makes you feel like a new person. Kinda like taking a shower at the end of a hard day of work, it makes you feel good.
  8. I would imagine that Janelle is busy and she still is there for Savannah. That being said, the few people I have known who gave birth to twins, the doctors have told them to limit visitors has twins often need to not get sick, more so if they are premature.
  9. Regarding Tony not wanting to work or be told what to do. Welcome to the club buddy. Ask those of us who have been working 40+ years if we like working either. I would love to sit at home and do whatever. But know that I have to work if I want anything. I find it hard to believe that She makes enough money from all of her MLM's to support a family of 5. Maybe it pays much better than we think.
  10. When my NP put me on Metformin 500 twice a day. I asked her was it really necessary. She said that it helps also by protecting your organs if you are diabetic or pre diabetic. I've never had that issue. My doctor might refill one I already take. But nothing new.
  11. No!!!!!!!! Not sure if it is true, someone on reddit said that Mindy and her husband actually live in Flagstaff. That might explain why they had a nanny at the height of covid. It was someone they knew.
  12. Sorry no matter how healthy it is I couldn't justify spending over $7.00 for a loaf of bread.
  13. I have a feeling it is now going to be split 5 ways. I don't blame them. I don't think they were getting an equal share of the TLC money.
  14. I think I remember reading that Janelle thought going in as another wife, it should be more of a hush hush low key event. I believe only a few people attended. I believe it was at someones house. I think Christine's also small.
  15. I think there is something more to it than just not letting them join. I've heard of other plyg kids joining the LDS church.
  16. Agree. I think Meri and Janelle just wanted for them to have a group of other kids to socialize with who had the same type of values they had. I don't think they were of the thought that all of the kids were going to run off and join this group.
  17. Did you check your sugar every time you ate something? I just got my A1c back and as usual it's higher than it should be. The way I work I just don't really have time to check my bg. Did you wait one hour after eating?
  18. I really think that was just Christine that wanted hers gone once they finished HS. With the exception of Gwen during covid.
  19. Same here. After wearing a mask this entire time, I got covid last August/September. It wasn't really as bad as I thought it would be, but worried the entire time I was going to get worse. Other than coughing, I felt really tired for months after, but not enough that it stopped me from daily life. The older I get the more concerned I am for catching URI's. Now I am hearing that in other countries, several cases of bird flu that people are now catching from fowl. So, going to be more vigilant with wearing a mask again. Because they are making it sound like it's really hard to recover from.
  20. True. I think Janelle never wanted to talk with Meri because it wouldn't end well for her, creating more issues than it helped. Then Meri putting up her walls, because she didn't like being called on the carpet for her behavior to others. Even Christine said she would belittle her and put her down in front of Meri's family members. So she didn't like being around her. So she didn"t feel safe being aound her.
  21. Agree. I think Meri has been done with Kody for some time. She admitted that they kept that they were no longer a couple secret. So that he wouldn't get negative treatment from viewers or the general public. I think she only with the rest of the family if filming is being done. I think she was saying what they wanted her to say on camera, to keep the show going so they keep getting a paycheck and exposure for their various side jobs.
  22. This might be the one that Dayton is living in. Maybe Janelle realized it was too much trouble and Kody finished paying for it and kept it.
  23. Also Meri had 3 bedrooms. She had the 3rd as a guest bedroom/craft/sewing room. Janelle might have had extra space that was used as an additional bedroom.
  24. It was in the first few episodes I believe Christine was also talking about not wanting to add anyone else.
