  1. Agree with ams1001 - you can't out-exercise a bad diet. I think it helps people with flexibility and stamina but I don't think that it significantly impacts weight loss by itself.
  2. I have always liked Deb and I have a lot of sympathy for teenaged Deb. I don't think we know if she knows it but she was a replacement baby for junior. Then her mom got sick and died and her father barely has time for her. On top of all that, she is a teenaged girl. No offense to teenaged girls - I was one and I mothered one - but impulse control and emotional regulation are not part of the stereotype. Despite Harry's neglect, she clearly loves him and Dexter and she does a lot to care for them as best she can. I think she is a key part of Dexter's story and is an important character. One of the few lines I remember from OG Dexter - the pilot, I think, is Dexter saying "if I could love anyone, I would love Deb." He doesn't mean that in the sleeve way that the final season tried to make the Dexter/Deb relationship. He means it as Deb being a good and loving sister to him, albeit in her own potty mouthed sort of way. She tries to bring good things into his life (a girlfriend in this series and Rita in the OG) but it never really goes well because she doesn't know that he isn't capable of romantic love.
  3. I might still have blamed him. To me, its would be similar to people who don't live together after they come back from the honeymoon. If you're going to commit to the show and the process, commit to the show and the process (certain situations excepted, like abuse). If not, don't do it at all. David can survive without sex until the show is over. It's not like air.
  4. I think the glasses make him look more interesting, especially since he always has resting bitch face. About the only thing I like about him even a little bit is his fashion sense.
  5. I don't think that Karla necessarily thinks that. She's definitely different but I don't get the sense from her that she thinks she is superior. I didn't really get that from Emem, though she is clearly financially more successful than Ikechi (and a much nicer person). I think that Ikechi feels inferior compared to Emem and that's part of the reason he has been a dick to her. I don't think she has said or done anything to make him feel that way though.
  6. Yeah - Allen should really clamp down on the little lady and keep her barefoot and in the kitchen where she belongs... Seriously. What's he supposed to do? She wants to go out; she goes out. That reflects on Madison, not on Allen. I don't think it's great that she does that but I don't see what he could do to stop her.
  7. I can't imagine any reason to ever go on a second date with Ikechi, much less invest two years in him. Maybe it was a FWB situation? Or since I can't really see him getting the "F" part of that, just a hookup? His personality is just so horrible...
  8. I think that she is in software sales or maybe project management. Something of that ilk. I think that she does have an undergraduate degree and I think that is an excellent accomplishment for a kid who came from a lower middle class family that really didn’t have the money to send her to college. She is certainly not the only person to do it, but it is an accomplishment and she should be proud of it. When she talks about “where she is” I think that she is saying she is more financially stable than her family of origin was. That is tough to do for this generation. I think Allen did something very similar though being a CIS white male, he did have an advantage over Madison. I think part of the reason they were matched (if you buy that the “experts” are making the matches and have a sound rationale for doing so, is that they had the shared experience of rising above more humble beginnings to more financial success.
  9. If I were single and younger, I’d be all over Allen.
  10. I completely believed that the hesitation was because it was his own kid and not a stranger, not necessarily that he was a copycat and hadn't cut a finger off before. Maybe I'm making this up, but I thought the cops knew from the autopsy of the judge's kid that the only thing he had been eating while he was missing were the knock-off Lunchables. So Dempsey could have copycatted that aspect of the kidnapping?
  11. I can see them together except that I think that Allen definitely wants children and Michelle is sort of on the fence about it. At 38, there are no guarantees that Michelle can have a baby, much less multiple children. Personality and lifestyle-wise, though, I think they could be a good fit.
  12. I wondered about that too. I'm thinking it was pads, skin care supplies, gloves, etc. He also had a CPAP. I don't think he lived with her though, did he? I don't know what mom does, but it's hard to imagine that she can support two separate households.
  13. They are legally married and both are saying they are trying to do the "experiment." David sexting another woman is cheating. It's dishonest and he is always running at the mouth about how much he values honesty. He can wait until the "experiment" is over to start having sex with other women. It won't kill him.
  14. I think he is a college counselor for high school students.
  15. That's a good question. It's possible they leave it at the door and his mom brings it into him. She is a classic enabler so I can see her doing that. Or maybe the neighbor brings it in to him or one of his aides. I can see his point about improper bathing but at the same time, bathing Gary must be exhausting for him AND the caregiver. And not to get too graphic but how does he go to the bathroom? I didn't see a bedside commode and I can't imagine he can use a regular toilet so I guess urinal? And maybe a bedpan or just soiled sheets when he poops. That would require cleaning all over again.
  16. She doesn't even have to work that hard. She says so much as hello and he blooms into full asshat mood. Just sit back and let the bad behavior flow. I did and I giggled when the friend said "maybe she's just trying to get to know you." That's the problem - Emem is getting to know Ikechi and he is a dick.
  17. I hope he did. Many young people don't (hell, many older people don't). If he did not, his estate would be tied up in probate and his assets would ultimately go to his next of kin. This would be Janelle. I believe it would not be Kody if Kody isn't on his birth certificate listed as his father. Kody would have a case for half if he contested the findings of the probate court but I would hope that even a jackass like Kody would not fight Janelle. Given Garrison's youth, it's unlikely that he had much in the way of assets. I know that he owned his townhouse but he had only had it a short time and had likely not made much (if any) of a dent on the principal of the loan. The house was sold and maybe made a little profit but the bulk of the sale price would have been to pay off the mortgage. He may have had a car that the owned outright but it's pretty common for people to have car payments, so there might not be much left after that is paid. Any outstanding creditors would have to be paid including credit cards, medical bills, etc. He may have had life insurance through the Coast Guard but I am guessing that wasn't a large policy either. All of which is to say, as successful as Garrison was for someone his age, I doubt there was much less to fight over, especially after funeral expenses were paid and the townhouse cleaned and readied for sale. Hopefully Kody wouldn't view half of whatever was left as worth fighting Janelle over.
  18. I disagree. I don't think that Michelle ever gave David a chance and that's on her. But they are married and he is saying that he is giving the relationship a chance so that is what he is cheating on. He can live without sex or dating while they are in this "experiment." He blathers on and on about how important honesty is to him but I believe he is lying and that is wrong. He can't stand on his high horse about Michelle disrespecting him and never giving her a chance if he isn't going to own disrespecting her by cheating on her and lying about it. Somewhat related, I thought Michelle is back to killing it on her AfterParty looks. Loved her green dress and thought her hair and makeup were on point as well. I don't necessarily enjoy them but I did feel like I understood them better and got to know them better through this. I also particularly felt for Juan when he talked about seeing recent immigrants working so hard and feeling guilty about his own life comforts. I don't love Juan but I'll admit that he is a hard worker, loves his parents and seems genuinely grateful for all that he has. FIFY. Every week I loathe him more. What an asshat.
  19. I just caught this. Dolly NEVER blinks. Literally never. It's not even close to the most bizarre thing about this story but it really bothered me!
  20. My dog fell in love with my husband before I did (and I fell fast). That dog had great taste in men.
  21. In the past, I think they have rented them two bedroom units but I don't know if that is the case this season. They have a sofa. And I'm sure Alan knows how to Uber.
  22. That's a shame. I'm not sure what I thought about his training methodology but he seemed like a nice enough guy. May he Rest In Peace.
  23. Me three! He had very compelling eyes.
  24. Yes, although it seemed to be one wrap and some sort of side in a little bowl. We have definitely seen larger fast food orders.
  25. If there's money in it, why not???
