  1. I never got that vibe from him. He always seemed stoned and half asleep to me. I can see him going out with friends if the tide took him that way but I didn’t get the sense that he was the type to always be going out or organizing people to go out.
  2. Maybe? And “job in finance” could, I suppose, mean a lot of things. Maybe he is a bank teller (which is a perfectly fine job but I don’t think requires any specific degree or credential).
  3. We were definitely led to believe he owned the business and I think whoever dug up information on it confirmed that. He got a new job in finance, he said, but I suppose he could still run the shop part time? ETA - I just googled it and there is no mention that it closed permanently. It is open “by appointment only” and lists Cameron as a co-owner (but no other owner information is listed).
  4. Well - he did show her a trap full of dead bugs. I wouldn't have loved that either.
  5. I don't know that Cameron was struggling financially. I think he is one of a few people in the country that do that sort of work at that level. I think someone early on did a little research and found that Cameron was well-respected in the field. It's a niche market but I'll bet he stayed busy and people who ride expensive, carbon-fiber bikes can probably afford pricey repairs.
  6. They would be a really physically attractive couple…
  7. I thought everything we “knew” about pay structures and penalities was speculation. As far as I know, no one has ever provided any documentation of what the penalties actually are, if there are any. It might be that there is no fine but if you leave early and aren’t getting filmed, maybe you don’t get paid for the full season. To be clear, I hated Chris of Paige and Chris. I thought he was an arrogant asshole who really had absolutely nothing to offer anyone in the history of ever. What made it even worse was that he thought he was God’s gift to humanity. It was fine by me that he didn’t find Paige’s face attractive. I thought she was cute but hey - we all have different tastes. But what I found abhorrent was that he continued to have sex with her; whispered that he was worried he was falling in love with her; was completely dishonest about his feelings and intentions with her; it goes on and on. He was a terrible person.
  8. I don't think it was ever really mentioned again unless the Supersized episode discussed it further.
  9. I don't think anyone liked Orion; male or female. I think it varies from program to program. I have an MSW and in the advanced year, it's 20 hours per week - but that's just to graduate. For a license that enables you to do therapy, you need advanced licensure. To get that, in my state, you need to practice for least a year (full time) under the supervision of a therapist with that advanced licensure, plus you have to pass an additional exam. I don't think Claire was getting her MSW but maybe a master's in counseling psychology but the requirement is probably at least that much.
  10. Maybe nobody? Today was a rough day for the franchise. Wow. I don't follow any other social media stuff about the show or the cast except for being here but... wow. So much intrigue. Honestly, don't these people have anything better to do? And whoever Cam is talking to in the second set of receipts - if they really want him to stop contacting them, why not just block him?
  11. I'm on Ozempic and it has allowed me to lose some weight. I am diabetic though, so while I didn't have issues with insurance, finding Ozempic in stock has sometimes been challenging. The only other time in my life that I successfully lost weight was an extended period in which I literally measured everything that I ate and tracked every single calorie. Eventually I was good enough at it that I could eyeball more accurately without the scale and the measuring cups but initially it was a surprise to realize how little a single serving of most foods are. Unfortunately, in my case, for whatever reason, I did not lose weight unless I severely restricted calories - to like 1200 - 1400 calories per day. Weight loss was quite slow for me and I was starving all the time. Even with that said, I would say that actually measuring your portions and counting calories, at least in the short term, can be really eye opening. If you and your doctor are open to it, a different drug for the restless leg might also help. The drugs, as a class, might all have the same side effects but everyone reacts differently and a different drug might not cause you to experience increased appetite. Good luck!
  12. She said she wasn't allowed visitors in the hospice, which was different from the hospital (at least, according to her story). Either way, it doesn't make sense. Except during COVID, hospice is usually very accommodating of visitors.
  13. Uhhhh - thanks? How can I miss them when they won't go away?
  14. I think it was just sort of "rescue animals" generically. She liked the wheelchair bound cow at the rescue they visited but that would probably be a bit much in the yard of the one suburban house they visited. Then again, I don't really know how much space one needs for a bovine paraplegic. I do love that she rescues senior dogs. They are awesome and are so often overlooked. There was something about Chloe I didn't love but she got points from me for her devotion to the dogs.
  15. I hope they are done; they are a toxic pairing.
  16. My father was a dentist. He worked really hard and did pretty well but were not rich by any stretch of the imagination. Dental school is four years on top of undergraduate, at least, with many dentists doing specialized training on top of that. It costs as much as medical school. The equipment and staffing to run a practice are also expensive. Insurance doesn't reimburse them well at all. Sure there are dentists who charge a fortune, but most of the ones I've encountered are charging prices that are pretty consistent with what it takes to pay their student loans and run their practices.
  17. I hypothesized on the live chat that she might be addicted to painkillers. There was a lingering shot of her pulling a pill from a prescription bottle and she seemed to have some cognitive impairments at the hotel that she didn't have at the start of the episode. She was really drowsy and a little nonsensical during the call with Dr. Now (the first one at the extended stay hotel). Being totally cut off by her support system would be consistent with some sort of addiction treatment intervention. Then again, I suppose they could just as reasonably decided that the substance she is addicted to is food (which it is) and decided to cut her off for that reason. I can't imagine how she was paying for that hotel. My guesses: 1. Family paid for it. 2. She was a guest of the state, through some sort of homeless shelter type program. 3. The show paid for it so that she would continue filming which would mean that she didn't completely ghost Dr. Now and his crew for quite as long as the show portrayed. Either way, I felt badly for her. I think she genuinely believed she was making progress, which would only be true in the strict mathematical sense of the word. She had a complex trauma history and it's very difficult to get people with that sort of history into treatment - because therapy is going to be really hard and emotional. Plenty of people eke out a life never confronting a traumatic past because it's just too hard to relive all that shit again. And finally, she is so young to be so sick. Not to be picky, but her mom actually referred to them as "150 pound titties". That might be more accurate.
  18. I was practically comatose by the time they did their couple's interview with Kevin, but I think she just repeated her mantra of "what is meant for you will not pass you" or something like that. Michael passed her so he's not meant for her and she's over it. At least, that's what she said. I think that Chloe said yes on decision day in spite of who Michael is and not because of who Michael is. I give her credit for looking past what I think she found to be a distasteful outward presentation and realized that Michael is a kind, intelligent guy. But Michael, like all of us, deserves to be loved for who he is, not despite how he looks, and I think that's why Michael said no. I don't think those two were going to be happy together and it's for the best that they split. I think only Michael and Chloe came out relatively unscathed. I think everyone else came out looking pretty bad.
  19. I am almost at the end of tonight’s episode and I can truly say … these people are exhausting. Every single one of them. I won’t miss any of them.
  20. I don't even want to watch this yet here I am... I was vaguely sad to hear that Cameron started a new job in finance. I hope he kept his bike repair business too.
  21. Good night all. I was hoping for a happier outcome but it was nice chatting with y'all.
  22. Minus the years she was living with dad and then in foster care...
  23. Anyone else think the hanging vines around the caregiver photos is kind of creepy?
  24. They don't but she might have been on steroids and a ton of IV fluids. True story (apologies to those who have read it before): A few years ago, I had a GI bleed. I had two colonscopies (including the pre) in 48 hours. I could not eat or drink for seven days. I gained two pounds.
