  1. Aw, dude, I miss Season 3 just because Sucre actually did things! I never weighed in on finishing my rewatch, did I? Toward the end of Season 4, I quite liked Michael and Sara's adventures on their own, and I continue to appreciate T-Bag's long struggle toward morality - even after the end of Season 5, I'm not sure I buy his transformation, but I want to. For the TV movie, which I had never seen before, I do appreciate what they aimed for with Sara's prison story, and it was quite entertaining to have an Orange is the New Black regular play the heavy in that, but other than granting us more time with the characters, I don't think it was needed. But wow, those .2 seconds of happy before the police came...okay, maybe it was worth it! I still want more. Prison Break trash, right here.
  2. Ugh, I am dissatisfied with the final episode. It really didn't have the gravitas of a finale, and other than the nice afterlife scene for Mary, it fell short for me on all counts. Where on Earth was the random threesome going? Margo is that important to Catherine's future? Not according to the history books. All we end with Catherine is that, really? No resonance of Mary's death in the French Court, really? I'm supposed to care more that Claude lost all her boys than that sweet, eye candy Luc disappeared? Was Narcisse's revenge in the previous episode essentially the end of his story? Is Bash a happy Druid forever? Was James a good surrogate father? And if I didn't know the history, I would have been so confused by that time jump and why Mary was being killed. I did like Mary and Elizabeth's two women power speeches, though. But I really think we needed at least one more episode to wrap everything up.
  3. So is this now the place to discuss speculation for Season 3, which is now 2? http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/katrina-delayed-as-versace-will-air-as-next-american-crime-story-fx-1011227
  4. I'm surprised that the Broadway runs of Glee actors haven't been mentioned in the most recent posts as to their success: Matt as the lead in Finding Neverland through a financially successful run, Darren as the lead in Hedwig that was successful enough that he also led off the first two touring stops, and Jenna in Waitress. Laura & Samantha did get mentioned, though - I had forgotten about Laura's success!
  5. I did a series rewatch to prepare for this season, and that plot point - or kerplunk point - is one of the most ridiculous ever. A whole season spent chasing after that money, and they just let it fall in the water. By they, I mean the writers. Clearly, they were sick of writing about that $$!
  6. It would have made better narrative sense for T-Bag to be the one who dies saving his son rather than Whip dying out of Michael loyalty. Not that I'd rather have Whip than T-Bag around, but that would have been a lot more emotionally resonant for me.
  7. The biggest failure in that storyline was not telling it from Patrick's POV. He was the character we knew and loved. Instead, we got a newbie in a predictable makeover plot swooning over Patrick Drake and no indication that Patrick ever even noticed her for months....yet we also didn't know what Patrick *was* doing. God, that annoyed. Jason Thompson is one of my GH all-time faves (My faves fill a baker's dozen, I'm sure).
  8. Our soap opera backgrounds were in synch on this one, @GHScorpiosRule! Maaaaybe Abruzzi's kid could be like 18, but definitely not that guy's age. Perhaps an older son we never met? That's what I'm telling myself. Did they get away? I thought that's how Mike Jr was captured. I assume we will never hear from Heather again. If Season 1 or 2, we'd have seen her shot dead in front of the kid. I liked Whip being T-Bag's son. Gave me some reason to validate his existence, at least, and I kind of believe T-Bag might be redeemable again? I did not get the whip hand connection at all, though. SMH at myself. Seriously, this continues to be the single most disappointing thing about this season. Even more so than having Sara actually believe Jacob's crap excuses, and I am thoroughly pissed off about that. But I'm still happy to be watching. I just choose not to think about travel time between places. Oh, and I definitely knew Michael's kid didn't draw that picture - Michael was too desperate to connect with him and wasn't thinking straight.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if marathoning vs waiting a week or month between episodes makes a huge difference. I didn't mind Season 3 much at all. Four eps into S4, so not much opinion yet. I totally thought Michael died of a brain tumor. I don't think I knew there was a Final Break movie until coming to this forum this year. It'll be interesting to watch for the first time soon!
  10. You got me. I did hate the car chase. But not the episode! The fireworks idea was cool! Though I totally expected Michael to also see the gulls and just stumble in and people to be all HOW?! and he'd just saw "Gulls, bro, duh," before passing out.
  11. Bored =/= dislike, at least for me. More like ambivalent. I just want every episode to be EVERYTHING okay?!?!
  12. Every season of Prison Break must have a handful of really bad actors. Those two are definitely them for this season. So it wasn't just me bored? The Michael/Cyclops car chase was so endless and pointless - the latter because it's not like Michael's going to die this season, folks. We know that much. And watching Wentworth Miller drive a car is not putting our precious few episodes of Wentworth Miller watching to good use.
  13. I really enjoyed Tracy's send off. Not the storyline leading up to it, but the day of whole family and friends worked out pretty nicely, I thought. Love Ned eschewing his Ashton last name, and I thought Dillon's shell shock but accepting reaction was just right. I totally forgot Kiki and Michael were also a thing until Michael and Dillon were standing next to each other. The episode made me do some age-looking up. Jane turned 70 this year, Leslie is 72, Jackie is 64, Wally is 58, and Stuart is 80. I do really wish we had AJ alive still, whether it was Sean or Billy playing him. I just, I love the Quartermaines, you guys. I will miss Jane and Tracy greatly.
  14. I'm doing a rewatch, and dude, that scene was hard to take. I had forgotten the depths of Mahone madness.
  15. On my own rewatch, I finished Season 3 tonight, and man, Sucre is the most loyal person in the world. WHERE IS SUCRE NOW?! I honestly mostly enjoyed Season 3, and a few eps into Season 4, I think the guy playing the main Company operative is effective, but I really don't like watching torture on TV. It makes T-Bag "eating Mexican" seem, erm, palatable.
  16. Yeah, that's the only part that worried me a bit! And I liked Clara, but yeah, I had enough Doctor / Companion moral discussions to last awhile.
  17. Maybe his cargo ship happens to come into port just as the boys reach a port needing escape? Yeah, I think this is my biggest complaint, honestly. I don't like Linc and Michael so willingly accepting the need to kill and be around killers -- and that includes Whip, the fastest knife draw in the Wes--Middle East. He's Michael's BFF? Someone needed to save Michael there, but I'm not exactly happy about his closeness with Michael.
  18. Didn't T-Bag say to Kellerman that Kellerman got everyone a pardon but him? Or was that just referencing the end of Season 2? I'm just about there in my rewatch of the series, so my memory for everything thereafter is faulty. The Magnificent Bastard is dead! I think he's really, truly dead, though I do wish we'd gotten more of him. But if he wasn't involved, then what was the water glass/bottle fixation about? He's really just that concerned about plastics? I don't think Sara's husband is Poseidon. I don't know what he is, but I doubt he's the man behind it all. Michael and Linc hug! That was the best. I think killing the ISIL leader is a good twist as is how unhinged Whip seems to be. I didn't think he was before this episode! What's next? Getting to the airport before ISIL does?
  19. I really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she really, really is that bad.
  20. Vindication! I swear I normally don't care about those sort of little details at all, but for some reason, this one bugged. I'm just way too familiar with those peas.
  21. I was so sure I'd found an anachronism when I saw the instantly recognizable bag for Trader Joe's petite frozen peas that Jack used to ice himself, but then I realized I am the same age as the main characters, so there were definitely Trader Joe's in existence when I was in my mid-teens in CA. But were there in Pittsburgh?!?! And why does this matter to me so much!?!?
  22. Yes, Griffin, thank you. Because the two characters started around the same time, I always want to call Griffin Finn. Perhaps because he's the one who works with the real Fin! And Dr. Michael Easton just doesn't look like a Finn.
  23. No, but I feel the same as you. Where's my Sucre?!
  24. Odd one out as this was my last fave episode so far! I am not invested in Michael's plans to get out of Ogyia - I'm ready for the escape and inevitable chase from the Poseidon contigent thereafter. I'm just not that invested in escaping a prison now when it's all just going to get bombed in a day or so anyway. Sounds like waiting to take their chances with ISIL breaking out their leader is about as sound of a plan as what Michael has going. Basically, whatever the means it's the RUNNING afterward that matters. Really need a mention of LJ and C-Note's family.
