  1. https://genius.com/Ben-folds-levi-johnstons-blues-lyrics Oh my gosh!!! I totally had forgotten about this. I remember when the Palin's came out of the woodwork and Levi had posted something on social media about being a redneck. I even remember Bill Maher reading it in a Southern drawl (which made no sense). And then Ben Folds Five made a song about it. It's so funny. Listen if you have a moment for a nostalgic chuckle.
  2. I thought casting Juliette Lewis was a fun nod to Christmas Vacation whether it was on purpose or not. Fun seeing Justin Long!! The writing had been solid and they are able to match the pace of the original show.
  3. Interesting how Amber is complaining about how the viewers are the ones that are instigating arguments. We are the reason she is on the show - you can't have your cake (that you store bought and ate in bed) and eat it too.
  4. I drifted in and out of sleep watching this episode. Did Catelynn leave Nova AGAIN to go to Texas? Fuck all of these people. I work midnight to 8am so I can make money for my family and still see them. I have a chance to come straight home on Thursdays and just go to sleep and have a full day of sleep on my husband's day off but I choose to go to the bakery with my family and then take my daughter to a PreK group and then don't go to bed until 10:30-11 and have to get up at 5pm. After I get off work today I have to attend a 4 hour training and then volunteer at school for the Book Fair because they can't find coverage for a time slot (I organized it so I get stuck with this). Luckily my husband took the day off and I will get to get some sleep before going back to work at midnight but I will barely see my kids just for this day and it is eating away at me. I hate all of these people and their sleeping in and their anxiety over jack shit and putting the kids in daycare for no reason and they can shove their "me time" up their bottoms.
  5. I can't believe they are threw this episode together 4 weeks in. Ummm......you are going to run out of dramatic circumstances by episode 10! @doodlebug stay on this board forever, we need you.
  6. Since we know he's abused her and Kaiser before.......it must have been really bad for her to actually call the police.
  7. I noticed this too. I think she is pretty but she has a very old and worn out type of face. Like Kate Middleton and Pippa. They are pretty but just have older looking faces. (but not worn out like Bristol)
  8. Same. I LOVE this! I wanted them to stop the game when Natalie was getting thrown around like that. Fuck Kyle. That was really brutal. I don't like Paulie but by that time he would have had to have been so tired and he really pushed it out at the end. The falling off the platform was amazing but not as funny as the challenge where they were on the conveyor belts! I am usually Pro Shane but him saying Marie was being petty didn't make sense. You all had tow throw someone in and you chose #CaraMarie. Then they had to choose someone and they chose you. I mean you can't have it both ways.
  9. Wow! 2 days have passed since this aired and only 43 comments. I remember when it would have been like 233 with the little flaming hot symbol. This is as dead as The Challenhe forum. We get to watch Maci pretend to have PCOS and leave her kids. We get to watch Amber go to L.A. and pretend she is sad about leaving Leah for a month. Her humble abode will do. What did she expect to stay in something designed by Frank Gehry just because Andrew is Twitter verified? We get to watch Catelynn return from rehab early because she missed her family only to leave Nova again to pretend to be a mental health ambassador. As someone with bipolar disorder and a snazzy new diagnosis of trauma I want to see someone with their shit together be an ambassador. I should be the ambassador. Tyler also gets to pretend he has two kids. He doesn't, Brandon and Teresa have two kids and he has one. Tyler also pretends to hang out with friends? We get to see Sarah Palin pretend to know how to talk. She jumbled up a bunch of her words in her segment Farrah style. I can't remember exactly what they were, I should have written it down but she made no sense. Anyone else pick up on this? This episode title "Suns Out, Buns Out" was directed at Cheyenne and her buns in front of her family and it rivals "In Sod We Trust". I did not understand any of what going on with that segment.
  10. It's just too bad when a child is telling a parent and the parent turns into a cement statue.
  11. Jeremy did this to himself. ugh!! I wanted more Jeremy and Mike time. Plus if they end up "dropping their buffs" anytime soon this gives Natalie a new chance. I can't stand the attitude that to run your own company and climb your way to the top means that you have to be an asshole. I've found that some of my favorite bosses were team players who were personable, nice and smiled. Not dictating everyone. I am so unwilling to go above and beyond for those types of people. I found this quote from her from the Survivor site "I am a young 57-year-old with great energy and people often guess my age to be 10-15 years younger than I am. I understand the game." But now she wants to claim she is a senior citizen? She is not energetic and she does not strike me as someone who is in their 40's. You do not understand the game, Natalie.
  12. Some of the jokes were corny but this episode at least finally toned it down a little from trying to include themselves in every single event/hashtag that has happened in the last few years. I appreciated the women on the show addressing that it was a different time back then, and that Corky had a long list of being harassed because that's so true. I'm almost 40 and I could tell just as many stories. Murphy being someone who would not take shit or was always a strong person is neither here nor there. The fact is many strong women know what's up but they had no support. I have always known when something was wrong, even as a little girl, and was vocal about it and was mocked for being "too dramatic" or not believed and the behavior was never addressed properly. I don't know why people like to turn the other cheek but they do.
  13. I just realized I have not cried at any episode this season yet, unlike the previous two where I cried almost every time. I think it is so funny viewers are commenting on the fact that Kate didn't give the youngest Kate any advice. What would the point be because that Kate ceases to actually exist? What if she had said something to change her outcome? IT'S LIKE YOU ALL WANT TO MESS WITH THE SPACE AND TIME CONTINUUM!!! It must have been fun for all the actresses to do that scenes together though with Jack.
  14. I just caught up with this and watched it within a week. I actually liked the show and found it "wholesome" and I'm okay with the producers trying to give us uplifting stories of struggle and human nature. I have tons of other shows I can watch where they compete or do trashy things. I also was happy to see people mention Siberia as I had totally forgotten about it!!! I liked how they showed little bits of their lives slowly (example...Richard getting married....then showing the kids later on) I liked they decided to take one major lifetime event and show how each person celebrated it during the eclipse. I loved Tim and Krichelle's dynamic, I thought he seemed so genuine and I was glad he expressed his feelings of gratefulness towards her. My dad and I were both wanting a Tim update but I couldn't find anything. What I did find during a search was that coral can't grow in your frickin' body so that must be some Hawaiian myth. I'm assuming Krichelle's father is not in any serious trouble any longer and was okay being exposed on tv. I love that Terry lasted so long on her own but she also seemed to have the most available resources. Still being okay with your own mind for over a month is really something. She is sweet but it's not my kind of sweet. Telling Matt she loved him and that Rashanna will be with her always was just too sappy for me. But the world probably needs more nice people like her. Eric's segment pissed me off because his wife pissed me off. Thanks for taking part in upholding this countries racist standards and not telling your parents their "traditions" are bullshit, Elise. I could not stand Matt. I don't know if it was his crooked face but I really didn't like his lifestyle either. He's so worried about his parents having to keep working but he gets to take off and live on a fuckin' island for a few months while they work and then he gets to sky dive and drive race cars? And he seemed shady as hell, taking from Richard and Sawyer what he needed and not giving Kenzie and Robbie straight answers. If he meant to go back he should have done so immediately. It wasn't a testament to him adapting, it was a testament to how kind Robbie and Kenzie were. Almost every post I read was about how Richard and Sawyer sucked but I still liked them a lot and was okay with them not being on board supporting Matt. I liked Richard a lot early and but was disappointed he kind of let Sawyer take the lead in being harsher to Matt. But he's from Sequim and I will root for anyone from WA. Sawyer was just okay. Kenzie and Robbie seemed like they were the ones who needed the island the most. Robbie had a positive turnout and Kenzie seemed like she just needed a break from her lifetsyle. She seemed tired and sick and burnt out in her segments. They were both tough as hell and stuck it out through some really terrible days. I will say the talk Robbie had with his kids where one of his children told him they get made fun of because of his weight and he said "no way" like 5 times in a row bothered me. Robbie has probably been made fun of his whole life because of his weight, he works with children, he has four children - he knows perfectly well this is something that would happen. I felt for the kid having to kind of argue with him saying "they do too". Like just say I'm so sorry someone said that to you instead of making your child defend themselves for a question YOU asked.
  15. @MVFrostsMyPie oh yeah. Both the end of the series. Why oh why did they have to set up themes?
  16. It was Jay......who's girlfriend was none other than JENNA!! There is so much talk about Joss on this thread but I don't even remember hearing him talk once during this season. He seems boring and quiet. I will never root for Johnny and I don't need to. I think his curse follows him and I don't mind if one of the other teams win. What I refuse to do is type out the stupid names they have given their pacts.
  17. @Pepper Mostly you are probably right. If NuMatt wasn't there to drive her, she wouldn't be able to go anywhere. It's def Blue Apron.
  18. So on point. I really wondered about that meal. It looked like it had been marinated and had actual ingredients in it. I wonder if it was like one of those Costco meals you put together.
  19. Hear, hear! I bet some of them turn out like The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia.
  20. @SnarkEnthusiast Best post ever!!!!!!!!! I wanted to read it like 20 times but read it only 2 because of time. Cate does not want to watch because she will be embarrassed about how childish she is and will have to be forced to see no growth. It's like we all have those moments in time on our Facebook where we were in bad moods and vented and posted stupid stuff. Except it's Cate's entire life on camera. No removing that!! I felt a softness towards Amber when she was taking care of James by herself and it quickly dissolved when she was calling Leah names. You never wanted anything to do with her and had the lamest excuses not to spend time with her. You reap what you sow. What was Cheyenne wearing at the BBQ? Because when she ran into the house her sheer top flew away and her bottom was showing. I don't know if she is dramatic just for the cameras or if she is like that all the time but that shit is unmanageable.
  21. Not possible to read every comment with 7 pages of commentary. :-)
  22. There is something off putting about Evan and by that I mean his facial manscaping, especially his moustache. It seems corny. I get a desperate vibe from these two, especially the way he had to change his "professional name" to Ross. To ride his mom's coattails? It's a common name and although Diana Ross is an icon there are also bigger household names.
  23. This was the BEST. The absolute best in which I had to rewind a few times and laugh at. Anyone who knows a person like Christian, who has trouble communicating with people, can relate to this exchange.
