  1. I watched & enjoyed the original. It was preachy, too, but it didn't bother me at the time. Maybe it was less "in your face"?. I haven't seen old episodes in years, so I don't know if I would still like it. Regarding the people in the background: Two well known people are having an argument at the bar, you wouldn't have a look? The Cagney & Lacey mention wasn't cute, either. It was an eye-rolling moment. Oh, and "slugger" - have they covered everything now? Perhaps, there will be reference to Pookie next time.
  2. It was a pretty good episode overall. Karen is really pressing on my nerve, though. I'm really liking the Grace & Noah thing and Jack & Will's bit was pretty funny.
  3. Well, I guess you are in a minority of two. This show is just not working for me. Preachy is the word, all right. So cliché. I didn't feel that Murphy's confrontation was sharp or clever. I noticed the people in the background at the bar were paying no attention to them, whatsoever. One thing - I will say that the wardrobe on the characters is fabulous. In any case, I think I'm out, just a waste of time.
  4. I think the Amy thing was pretty far-fetched. Sheldon is really self-absorbed & clueless, but that's his thing so it doesn't bother me, particularly.
  5. OK, more moralising. Maybe a chuckle, but I don't remember for sure. Too much Botox on Jim. Tyne Daley is pressing on my nerve. Bad acting bad writing.
  6. I'm still trying to get my head around his (Baldwin's) young wife who keeps having kids. What's up with that?
  7. I would agree. Just because you follow someone, doesn't mean you are a follower (if you know what I mean).
  8. I'll give it one more chance tonight. Hope it's not full of moral superiority. I would prefer it to be full of laughs. You can have laughs while making a point, but this show isn't doing it. Oh gawd, I just saw that Jim is returning. Cue the screaming & sobbing. I'm not sure I can take it.
  9. I've seen him on "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" & he's pretty funny. Some people are naturally witty - Tom Hanks, for example. Alec Baldwin does have some issues with his temper, for sure.
  10. Graham Norton has a good show. I find Whoopi funny when she's not on The View (which I guess could suck the funny out of anyone).
  11. Oh, jeeze, you had to do that! :o) I didn't see the show, so I was going by MM's post, & she looked quite nice. Not a good style for sitting. They aren't doing her any favors by putting her on the end (the little devils).
  12. Family money? I liked it (except Jay & Gloria are wearing on me). I have found this season better than the previous couple of seasons, So maybe it's funny by comparison. I wouldn't say "super good", but it's on the right track. I have been pleasantly suprised.
  13. One hopes that it's Ariel Winter's character! But seriously, I hope they don't go this way. It's a comedy. If I want to see that kind of crap, I'll watch "This is Us" blah! Although, they did it with Phil's mother.
  14. Absolutely agree with you on just about everything. I'm happy that Dylan is back. He is well suited for Haley. I like Lily, so I find her funny most of the time. Alex & Luke have been annoying for a while so didn't miss them. So far, so good for this season!
  15. Spanx don’t make you skinny, but Photoshop does!
  16. Noooooo! ?? My granddaughters seem to like it, but they are preteens. Mission work? Poor Haitians!
  17. We know her track record. Who cares?
  18. I don’t think she was at the wedding. She is a type of minor celebrity that Fergie would think is classy, though.
  19. Laurie Metcalf is the best thing about the show. Wow, does John Goodman ever look old! Mary Steenburgen really needs makeup. She sure looks her age!
  20. Maybe she's telling us, in her subtle way, that she slept her way to the top!
  21. I'm finding her OK so far. She just started on the show, so she has to find her groove.
  22. Maybe hubby texts her the “word of the day” ?
