  1. Larry is kind of repulsive, so maybe 3000 miles is close enough.
  2. I have to agree that they over-cover certain things. Nobody would pay attention to nitwits if they weren't covered ad nauseum. We don't need panel discussions on every aspect of pop culture. Exactly!
  3. Ha, ha - tell us what you really think, Whoopi! I'm wondering who she's referring to.
  4. Everyone seems to do this now. I saw it for the first time at my niece's wedding 11 years ago, & thought "WTF".
  5. Her eyes bother me. They’re so tiny, she seems to be squinting all the time. Very unattractive “bear” eyes.
  6. I wouldn’t use the word “classy” - she’s well dressed and well groomed. She’s more robotic than classy. Just goes to show that you can’t buy class.
  7. Just watched an old one. Loved it. The one with Marie"s $160,000 wedding in Manhattan (Dracula theme). The volunteer firefighter on Fire Island (liked her the best), another Indian bride (Pnina dress) & Jewish groom, and the one where they announced the pregnancy (tacky). So great to see the look on Marie's face when she came last - such a nasty woman with a tasteless wedding. But, America knows she was robbed!
  8. I’m thinking K & K. Only she is dumb enough to think they would be a power couple.
  9. Has anyone seen Sarah and Michael lately? I can’t bring myself to watch.
  10. She exists to have her photo taken. That’s fine but let’s not pretend there’s anything deeper going on. The outfits in Africa were ridiculous. She can shop at Macy’s if she doesn’t want attention paid to her clothing. I think she’s really out of her depth. I guess she does the best she can with what she has.
  11. Well said. That’s it in a nutshell!
  12. I did watch the show in the past and liked it well enough. They kind of lost me with her pregnancy. I’m remembering it being funnier back in the Stone Age, but haven’t seen an episode in years. I don’t think the new version is particularly good, humor wise or acting wise. Maybe I’m just old and crotchety. Curb your Enthusiasm has me rolling on the floor.
  13. I guess we can speculate on why Murphy behaved as she did. My take is that it’s out of character for her & the show is trying to capitalize on the current climate. I don’t like being manipulated & the show needs more funny & less preach.
  14. Just caught two OLD episodes of "Four Weddings" - sigh. I miss those shows. Such fun!

  16. I'll go along with Larry David's philosophy: "No hugging, no learning" - don't need pathos on sitcoms.
  17. Murphy’s mother was a tough, strong woman, so I’m sure Murph wasn’t a babe in the woods. I think in the instance that they outlined on the show, Mary Richards could have handled it. Nothing happened other than disillusion, so I doubt she is traumatized 50 years later. Standing up and telling him off, maybe not. Running like hell, for sure! And it would not have been a secret, either. The word spread would have been along the lines of, “Do you know what that asshole tried to pull?” I am of that time, and we were not timid hothouse flowers. You had to look out for yourself.
  18. Avery being called out for an incident in his past is a great idea! I agree that Murphy would have figured out where her prof was coming from. That situation did not ring true. They are trying too hard to be current and relevant.
  19. Absolutely agree! I have a dark sense of humor & can/will laugh at a lot of things, but MB needs new writers (or something).
  20. That's the problem, isn't it? Not funny.
  21. Breast cancer, pregnancy. This is a sitcom, right? Don't need to see it.
  22. Pretty decent episode. I find Anu really looks old. I suppose she's a good mother figure for Raj.
