  1. The current crop of rebooted sitcoms is going back to VSE's, & I hate it. Now every character is having a #metoo moment (Grace, Murphy). Not interested. Leave the teachable moments to daytime TV. I feel like I'm watching Oprah or Dr Phil. I miss the Seinfeld sensibility. I must say that Modern Family seems to have a handle on how to do the serious stuff, for the most part.
  2. It's just that they're preaching to the choir. And, the choir would like more laughs, better acting, writing & directing.
  3. I'm wondering why the DIY projects cost so much. The purple stripe on the lamp shouldn't have been more than 50 cents. That coat rack last time was kind of pricey, as well. They didn't mention what the cost of the window accents were; maybe they were on the house.
  4. I liked both the loft and the brownstone. First time. The brownstone was nice, but there's a reason the table is near the kitchen - schlepping food from the kitchen to the dining room. The loft (even with that horror of a sofa) worked, also. Maybe, because Thom didn't use wallpaper. The price of that light fixture was amazing (not in a good way). What happened to the fish tank?
  5. A very special “Murphy Brown”. Just in case we don’t grasp the gravity of their situations, we have a third rate sitcom to beat us over the head with it. Preachy, heavy-handed, and no laughs. 😝☹️😝☹️😝☹️😝☹️😝☹️😝☹️😝☹️
  6. Murphy Brown is fiction. Miles (a fictional character) didn't really work there.
  7. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that”
  8. I’m so choked up & teary, I can barely see this post. ??
  9. Absolutely! I loved it back in the day, I still watch now when I remember. Dietrich killed me!
  10. Me too, I'm embarrassed for myself! I watched it years ago. I happened to tune in tonight & stayed because I wanted to see how they looked after their surgeries.
  11. Is the "new" version still on? I'm seeing Gypsy Wedding in that time slot (awful - don't watch). I wonder if they are re-vamping the new version because it seemed to be universally hated.
  12. It sure is. My idea of traditional sure doesn’t match up with designers’ ideas! Not just this show - most design/makeover shows.
  13. It's really hard with some husbands. Mine has his taste stuck in the '70s. I mostly don't pay attention, because as long as he has his giant TV, he's happy. I could live with the living room, but that dining room - the gold side table was over $3K ??? I wonder if Thom is going to use wallpaper in all of his rooms. I actually like wallpaper, but so far haven't been keen on his choices.
  14. There are a couple of things that aren’t so bad, but why would anyone want to wear Wendy Williams fashion? ??. Embarrassing!!
  15. Yes, not my taste either. The lighting! I prefer "traditional" - not in the way that designers think is traditional, though. ;o) They look like the $5.95 plastic chairs. I just threw mine out recently - turned yellow & they were ultra-ugly to begin with.
  16. Didn't care for the house in Teaneck. The dining room was horrendous.
  17. Wouldn’t Miles know that his outfit was ridiculous? ?He’s been around long enough to know what’s de rigueur.
  18. Well, she’s up on the important things in life! ?
  19. For sure! He can only be an asset to the show.
  20. I was also wondering why they didn’t grab a chair from across the hall. I thought it was funny that Sheldon & Amy’s mother bonded. Not feeling the Raj - Anu thing. But, a pretty decent episode.
  21. Been there, actually done that. Nobody cares, petty thing to do.
  22. Reminds me of an episode of "Mary Tyler Moore Show" at the Teddy Awards - only, sans laughs.
  23. Oh ..... oops. Excuse me! Guilty of lack of reading comprehension!
