  1. I just looked at the photos and yes, Sandaya's was the same shade of pink. I guess it just seemed more vibrant against the gold and metallics. Her vision for future office wear seemed to be what she was putting out on the runway. Color in the office, not so drab, not so restrictive. But to me, part of her vision is in the execution of that idea. How you choose to express that vision I guess. Okay, Sean's was awful, oh geez, I'm looking at it on Rate the Runway, and its pretty fucking awful. However, I think with his, if he had chosen a different fabric and fitted it different, and not put his model in that ridiculous hat and socks with heels. But I think the colors were fine, and the basic idea was okay. I think even done 100% right, Seans would have only landed him in the middle. So basically, I think he and Angela both had awful fit and sewing issues, reasonable ideas/vision. The tipping factor may have been the color and the fact that the jersey turtleneck dress underneath was okay. I feel like if both had been 100% of the sewing and fit issues, Angela may still have gone home for the color combination and how the white in front sort of looks like a mans tie. But M totally V's :) See, this is what happens when you only give people a fucking day Project Runway! I think if they wanted to keep someone for drama, they should have kept Angela, because she seems like she was annoying everyone. But I agree that overall I hate the idea of creating these situations and keeping certain people for drama instead of making the conditions right for people to succeed and create beautiful clothing.
  2. Can you please tell me who the hell she is? I refuse to watch her show because to me she was a total bitch as a guest judge, and she can calm down with all her self importance and bad attitude since I've never heard of her. I don't know how her appearance on PR was supposed to tempt me to watch her show because I could do without her attitude.
  3. I've tried with Amanda....I've really tried, but I just can't with her. Nice to know that with all of your many advantages you still managed to put out a shitty outfit and land on the judges shit list. And WTF is fashion forward about her top, not to burst your bubble sweetpea, but undergarments that you can wear outside has already been done. The corset has been around for years, and I'm guessing it will be around in another 20. And thats the point I think Sandaya was trying to make, which is why I appreciated her design. All of these "warrior woman" themes assume that the strength of a woman always comes from taking on what is traditionally seen as male. Sandaya's point of view that strength for woman will one day be more in embracing what is feminine rather than trying to embrace what is traditionally masculine was powerful to me. Totally agree about Angela. She seemed to magically stop with the water works once she knew her ride on the show was over and any more manipulation wouldn't do her any good. And she was sure to mention on the way out that her collection would have "blown everyone else's out of the water" at Fashion Week. I guess the meek mouse can talk shit too! I have no idea if she basis that solid assessment on her ability to superglue paper snowflakes to a dress and be on the bottom or her inability to sew and be on the bottom, but whatever....guess we'll never know will we Angela. This is what happens when you only give people a day, IMO. With a two day challenge if you fuck up you really have some time to redeem a look, or come up with something new and really execute. On one day challenges you have what seems like a few hours after the model leaves. You have to be a sewing/design rock star to come up with a winner under those conditions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And on another note, who the hell was the guest judge? Dear Lifetime - I really don't care if you have someone hosting a new show, and trust me, her little "performance" doesn't encourage me to watch her show. And you do yourself a disservice by only telling us that the guest judge is some chick I've never heard of, who hosts a show I've never heard of, and may or may not have some authority in fashion. She was a bigger bitch that Julie Bowen. I hate that she wanted to pile onto Angela. Geez, the girl was already being told her outfit sucked, do you really need to add in a dig about how some airline is looking for new uniforms?
  4. I actually thought Angela's was the worst. First there is the color, that pink was just awful, if you're going to "break the fashion rules" by making a pink suit, make the pink something other than pepto pink. If you're going to advocate for color in the corporate environment I think thats GREAT. I, for one, hate the business suit and the fact that people want to say you can only wear it in black, navy or grey. Most business suits I have buck that trend because I hate looking like everyone else. But don't make those bold moves in pepto pink and white! That suit looked like a hoochie church lady suit! And why did she cut it so short? I think in the future we should let one or two things about the business suit go, but not everything about the business suit, and a lot of women who are a little older aren't going to want a skirt cut that short, and it would have been better as a pencil skirt. And then the white with the pink looked like it was for easter. And finally, I'm all about an interesting suit jacket. I'm all about it, all day every day. But if she wanted to go sleeveless she should have done a well tailored vest, and if she didn't, she should have slapped some sleeves on that, and while I think her ideas were interesting, they just weren't interesting enough to save the jacket. I feel like I've sort of seen something like it before. And, the other guy...Alexander? While his was bad, I think the judges realized that it was a rushed attempt because his first project failed, which is what I think slightly pushed him over. But that suit is exactly what Angela intended to put on the runway, she thought that was a reasonable design, even with that awful pepto color.
  5. When she said she wanted to buy that outfit I was like "oh Nina, oh please....just stop" The model can barely carry off that look. I really liked Sandaya's design, and I knew for me, that I was most going to enjoy her design because she actually chose a color and because of the story behind it. And no Korina, in the future no one wants to wear a yellow shirt and mesh overcoat, you can live alone there sister.
  6. Thank you for clearing that up. I was so confused and that makes total sense. I was Beast Mode Confused.
  7. For me, its a fine line. A grown person farting, not so funny. Especially when you're the one left in the destructive aftermath of a "silent but deadly." However, a commercial where we are waiting for a blueberry to fart so we can capture the essence in a marker....kinda funny. I mean, its no Esurance and Beatrice, but I think the humor was in the timing and the build up.
  8. I'm so sorry to ask this, and please believe I am not at all asking in a snarky way. I do like coming here to find out if "x and y won battle of the block" or who won "power of veto" and what everyone watching the live feeds thinks because they have seen it all as it unfolds. and they also have a better feel for the alliances the players have and how one person, or team's win will affect the rest of the game. I don't mind the episode being spoiled for me because I know that this topic has a "spoiler" heading. I don't want to break any rules, but is there a place where people can talk about the live feeds including what will happen in the upcoming episode? For example, if I'm reading this correctly, the POV may happen on the live feeds on a Monday, and so those who watch the live feeds will know about who won the POV on a Monday, but you don't want them to talk about it until Wednesday when the POV competition is held? I personally don't mind knowing about it (although I don't know that I have the patience/budget to purchase the live feeds) and thought that this was a discussion topic where that could be done? If not is there another discussion topic where thats being done? If I should be asking in another way, please tell me, and please know, I'm not asking with any sort of attitude. I know its hard to read, or not read snarky in the tone of a message, but I really want to know.
  9. Oh, I think she is much, much, much prettier than Amber. But I don't think Amber is gorgeous in the face, there is something off with her mouth and her teeth. I just think Amber's looks are sort of....typical pretty, Skinny girl, light skinned, green eyes....typical. Don't get me wrong, I think Amber is a pretty girl, I just think Candace is much prettier.
  10. That kid was way too nice, way too fast and for no apparent reason. I think the Colonel is their ultimate mother figure, and something of a love interest for some of them. Blond buzz cut is very gung ho about taking her "directives" to the extreme. Which is why he protected Kyle at first, but then when he someone getting to be mom's favorite I think he didn't like that one bit. Or, he could just be a straight up psychopath, who was always setting Kyle up. As that car came out of the water I thought "and it ends as it begun" a beautiful haunting scene of a car coming out of the water in the middle of the night. Even creepier to see the outline of the dead body at the wheel. I stopped reading the "spoiled" post because I had no idea what the poster was talking about, I figured I might have fallen asleep when something important happened. why in the world do they all have flip phones? I'm the lamest tech person ever, but even I have a swankier model phone! Sometimes this show just seems to be one hour long ad for big tobacco. Is there anyone on the show who doesn't smoke, didn't recently smoke, or is about to defy someone's authority by smoking?
  11. Candace was absolutely gorgeous. She would have definitely been the prettiest girl in this years house.
  12. I love Holder, so I may be an apologist for him, but I think addicts hurt others in order to hurt themselves. The psychiatrist/psychologist in the Sopranos used to always say "depression is rage turned inward" and I think its almost opposite for holder. I think he wants to hurt himself because of the guilt, and so he does that by hurting others. His happiest times have been having Caroline and his sister, and his nephew who he loves, and ruining all of those relationships that he has worked so hard to build, hurting himself with drugs is a way to punish himself for his guilt. But frankly, I have no idea why he feels so much guilt. Not only did Holder not pull the trigger, he begged Linden not to. He helped her clean up, but he didn't kill anyone, and honestly, I'm getting a little tired of Linden. Its time for her to turn herself in and stop being an anchor on Holden. She should explain what happened, because I think its probably something more along the lines of manslaughter since she was under such emotional distress. The second shot was pretty intentional, but I think it could be a manslaughter case. If thats the case, she is out in under 10 years. As for Jack growing up without a mom, whatever, she can't even remember when he is coming to town, and he pretty much lives with his dad. She can't keep asking Holder for permission, she just needs to confess, and leave Holder out of it. Just say that he never found them, or that she parked the car in the garage and he could never find them.
  13. "Well, he is a captain and can pull rank...." People are jerks. They probably need more crunchberries.
  14. You know when I think about it, the most interesting thing about that is how recently the parents must have made/changed their will. I mean, I guess they could have made it a long time ago assuming their son would get into the military academy and would be there until he was 18 years old, but what if they had died before he was even of an age to go to high school. If they made it 10 years ago, he would have only been 8, so the parents couldn't know if they would die when he was 9, 10, 11. Because they didn't have a contingency plan for those years, it makes me think that they would have made/changed the will at least when he turned 14 (freshman year). Or in fact even later than that, because it sounds like he went into the academy during his last year of high school, so they had no idea until he was 17 that he was even going into St. George's. So did they make those changes because they thought he might try to kill them? The parents seem all about image, and perfection, I'm sure they were all about him going to college, even if they thought he was dumb, they would at least not want him to embarrass them by not going to college, so why not leave any money in their will for that? Did they hold back the money until he was 35 so he wouldn't have a monetary incentive to kill them? This makes me so sad. I was just turned onto "the Killing" and I think its the perfect show for Netflix. Its a perfect show to binge watch especially if its one crime solved in one season. Boo.
  15. I still get confused by commercials like the one with the kid texting. Is this supposed to encourage me to buy a kid a cell phone to text on? So she can lose her ability to speak like a rational human being? I don't get what you accomplish with this ad, because I see it, and I start to think that texting will ruin a child's ability to speak in coherent sentences, not "wow, I should find a cheaper way for my child to lose her ability to speak clearly...." As for the KMART one. Ugh, "your momma jokes" can be so funny, so old school, why did KMART have to go and ruin them? He is using repeatedly using a word he doesn't really know how to use. I'm totally confused as to how thats anything remarkable and perhaps slightly annoying. And all this attention he is getting means he is going to be using the word apparently all the damn time. I couldn't even watch the entire clip. Show me a kid break dancing, now thats amusing.
  16. Well, I can now see how that absolves him of all responsibility to the point where he can just now behave as though he wouldn't have wanted to kick Amber out solely for rejecting him or not "knowing her place."
  17. I am confused by this, isn't he under the impression that he is the reason Amber was sent home? Because Beast Mode King of the House wanted her gone? That would sure be my reaction, or just a blank stare.
  18. Nothing is worse than his seduction of the creamed corn. He may single handedly take down the cream corn empire with that video. I may understand a network forgiving a message board entry, maybe. But a dude with crazy eyes attempting to molest some cream corn on video is not a good look for any network I don't care how much they want the publicity.
  19. I had no idea he had such a catalog of songs! I do love their ratchetness. LMAO @ "struggle songs" - a better phrase can not be found for whatever the hell Althea was doing.
  20. Poor Charlie! He probably lived his little tuna life in the ocean, a sad broken tuna, thinking he had failed in life....the Stanley Kowalski of the tuna world. Never realizing how lucky he was to have never been accepted for Starkist's high sodium, processed tuna snacks. Why are those kinky fucks bringing their deodorant into the bedroom? I normally spend about 15 seconds putting it on in the bathroom, mine never makes it out to the bedroom, and its certainly not the subject of any conversation, unless of course I end up getting deodorant stains all over my shirt.....and then the conversation is as sexy as the one the two of them are having.
  21. I will say this. FNS seems to follow TC. TC had last chance kitchen then FN came out with star salvation. TC had someone win last chance kitchen and that person went all the way to win the entire show. If FN hasn't done that yet, they may be tempted to do it too. I remember a lot of people on TC rooting for Kristin (not me, but I can't remember why) but people I guess like the underdog angle of the whole thing. But I do think that FN tends to do exactly what TC has done, so maybe they want Luca to take it all. I'm hoping for the pirate!!!!
  22. I don't know either, I personally really like Nick. He seemed like a good mentor to me. Anya and Mondo didn't seem to offer much in the way of solid advice, and that...to me, smells like a situation set up for someone to be able to "wash their hands" of the losing team. Anya's advice was just so broad..."make it look better" in an angry voice is not really good mentoring. I don't know, maybe Tim feels that someone like Nick is gunning for his spot? In a few more years. Yuck, why did I watch that clip, that set me back on my journey to try to love Tim again.
  23. I don't know, thus far god hasn't weighed in heavily on Jocasta's game....
  24. Yes. Lets, but my last comment on the subject will be that pretty much every member of RHOA has had drama with every other member. And Nene had plenty of drama on the apprentice, which is a show that always has drama. There was Omorosa, who has been a villain on almost every reality show she is on, there was Nene, there was Lisa Lampenelli. I also think Donald Trump had no great love for Lisa Lampenelli, and often finds people vile who don't agree with him. I'm not 100% certain of a man that insisted our president produce his birth certificate and his law school transcripts. Kenya isn't silly, she knows that people watch her on RHOA in part because she stirs the pot and brings the drama. She is 85% an act, so it would be ridiculous of her to go on the Apprentice and not bring drama, I would be disappointed in her if she didn't stir things up, and because thats how she got popular on RHOA, thats what will be expected of her. I don't think her playing the same character on another reality show, that has garnered her such popularity on RHOA, is something that is crazy or really proof of anything. saw this after I posted. will not post anything else on tangent topics.
  25. Because her "character" goes only so far. And calling someone out as a whore for something they didn't do is different. Her "character" on the show can be called a great many things, I would even say flirt, pot-stirrer, shit-starter, but not a liar, and not someone offering sex to a married man. That is not Kenya's show character, and thats not her in real life. But Phaedra lied about Kenya as a person, and not even on the show. I don't believe that Kenya was being filmed for the show when Phaedra decided to go around lying about her, or when this alleged offer of sex happened, so Phaedra was talking about the person Kenya is off the show. Great, then so is showing up near naked in a body stocking. I mean how far away from the penis before you aren't selling sex anymore? How many people has Miley Cyrus been selling sex to? Are lap dancers who refuse to have sex with clients just bad sports or dirty welshers? There is a performance artist who often dances naked in the display windows of sears and other department stores. Now she is under the impression that she is making a point about the objectification of women and the materialism of the clothing industry and how much it teaches women to hate their bodies. I wonder if she knows that by dancing naked she is selling sex? She would be shocked and appalled by the very idea. The reason to apologize is because she lied about Kenya offering her husband sex, shouldn't that be reason enough?
