The Girls & Co. In Other Roles: Spreading It Around
RealityGal replied to LilWharveyGal's topic in The Golden Girls
Betty White was on an episode of 30 Rock. Traci tried to scare her to death by calling her and saying "boo!" and the conversation ended with Betty White telling Traci that she would bury him! I still love Bea Arthur the most, but Betty White is so funny. Oh, and of course this is widely known, but Quentin Tarantino in that episode about Sophia's wedding as an Elvis impersonator. -

For some reason, that whole thing works for Caleb in that a) he clearly doesn't understand the dynamics of Coyote v. Roadrunner (who, by the way, is a giant asshole) and b) in the Amber/Caleb romance he was sort of the Coyote to Amber's Roadrunner, even though he never tried to launch himself at her with a giant boomerang or actually put out birdseed for her to eat. -

Maybe your drunk mind put some eyebrows on him. Although his prop glasses camouflage the no eyebrow situation pretty well. And well.....maybe you were drinking the good stuff....or the moonshine :) -
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to David T. Cole's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta
Oh, I think Ariane is a lesbian, but I think the only reason she let the American viewing public know about it was because she needed a story line. And it just wasn't all that interesting. I also think she is in love with Mimi, and that actually might be an uncomfortably interesting topic to explore. I think Mimi is getting to the point where she would do just about anything to stay on TV so..... -

Ariane is one of the most annoying people associated with the show IMO, and it only makes sense that she is aligned with the only person more annoying than her, Mimi. Ariane always seems to be on a mission to get airtime, or a story, or to try to insert herself into things so she can seem relevant. She needs to fly back to wherever she is from and go live her own damn life. I could totally see her trying to start something with Joseline on Twitter so she can get some attention. Her whole "lesbian" angle was a fail, because she is lame and no one was interested. When people referred to someone as being "extra" I had no idea what that meant, but I think that term totally applies to Ariane. Is your likeness also tattooed on the torso of an old man? LMAO @ "protect your neck!" -
His phone might be ringing, but for what? Maybe to be on another reality show, but to actually make clothes, I'm not so sure. Not because of his personality, but because his clothes were never good. Now, if he was a bitch, and had the talent of Kini or Fade or Emily, yes, because his bitchiness would be part of his selling point as an artist I suppose. But IMO, PR was not a good look for Hernan, not only was he a bitch, he was a bitch who made mostly sub par clothing, it wasn't a great showcase for whatever talent he has. I never much cared for Seth Aaron's personality, but my goodness, I loved almost every.single.thing. he sent down the runway. Just loved it. I watched him on All Stars and just thought he blew everyone away. He is one of those people that had a less than winning personality (IMO), but I could see him getting hired to do work because he was just so damn talented. But maybe someone is hiring him to make clothes based on PR, I guess if you have money to burn and want to hire a semi talented designer with an anger problem.

oh and one more thought - Slim, please do not feel obligated to take advice from Tanisha whose life seems to be a constant mess. She only gets on TV because she is loud, fat and obnoxious. She is not someone to pattern yourself after. Just go on, do your modelling and live your life. Long term, it was probably better that you just left the house quietly, you actually have a career where your behavior will matter to people. The last thing you needed in life was to act loud and ghetto, get in fights and risk not getting bookings. I don't agree with a lot of what Slim did, but Tanisha is no ones role model.

I'm so tired of Tanisha hosting the reunion. All you get are food jokes and soft ball questions for people who genuinely sucked on the show. Please stop changing the narrative, Lo was a bully period point blank. I hate that she feeds into that "Fab 4" shit, or acts as though Blu and Lo are somehow better than anyone. Lo was the first person to follow Redd, and the first to flip flop on Redd, so how the hell is she accusing anyone of being fake. With the exception of Raensha...who is really trying hard to make her 5 minutes of fame extend to 15, everyone should be questioned harshly. Jada, who did almost nothing wrong except for refuse to sleep with Redd was labelled the "troublemaker." because "everyone" had a problem with her. But these weak bitches, once again, were cliqued up, so no matter what beef you had with one you had beef with all the others. Lo and Britt were the worst for that, I can't remember anything Jada did/said to her. But Tanisha just sits up there, trying to rap about getting more food and will let Lo run her mouth without saying anything. I don't know at what point BGC decided that Lo was going to be a star, or was going to be the hero of the house, but from where I sit, she is hella lame. And now, somehow its not Lo and Blu's fault for ganging up on Slim and kicking her out of the house, its all Slim's fault for not standing up to two girls that are twice her size. And Aysia is right, everytime Slim said something, there were 4 people telling her that what she said was wrong, so why should she open up to any of them? I wish they would have Perez Hilton do the reunion show again. Tanisha is clearly sympathetic to bullies and assholes, and he was at least a little more balanced. Oh and Britt, trying to jump Jada now is ridiculous, just stop and accept that you're lame And also Britt, why with a lumberjack shirt, demin booty shorts and thigh high suede boots. You do not look cute. Please, just stop.

See, I love Law and Order/CSI shows, and I thought I would hate the Killing because I do like things wrapped up in a tidy bow with some funny quips thrown in. However, i think I really liked the Killing because of the fact that it was released when all the episodes were available so I could binge watch. This is why I wish Netflix would have held onto it a little longer, its a perfect show to binge watch which is exactly how they release shows. If I had to wait a week to find out something new with a show like this, I might have lost interest. And I agree, Linden was a good anti-hero hero

I'm almost positive I would blow that money on shoes. I like the idea of the honey badger. There is a youtube video of a family who has a honey badger that just goes through the refrigerator looking for food like its nothing. I mean, imagine this in the BB house, do you blame it on Snuffle, or do you blame it on Victoria....either way it would be hilarious! -

I hope thats the case. I remember feeling the same way when Erica D. dragged Scrappy down to Stevie J's studio to defend her honor. Knowing full well that Scrappy was on probation at the time and could have been taken to jail if he fought Stevie J. So, I hope its just that Tammy was upset in the moment about Waka not being there and when she calmed down realized it would have been bad. I could see Mimi saying something like that and it starting a fight. and I totally agree with whoever said that Mimi is probably on something. I absolutely think she is. -

I noticed that, and I am wondering what thats about, if she is a doctor what the hell is she doing trying to manage these women with almost no talent? And I wondered if that was Sommore's security, personal assistant, friend? in the red headwrap. My only thing with Tammy wanting Waka there is that she said he would have probably done something crazy and gotten himself in trouble trying to protect her. So why would you even want him there? So he could do something crazy and end up in jail? -

^^I cosign your entire post. I just wish she would own it, but totally agree that her shame should be more focused about having sex with Nikko. -
I don't think killing her off would be an awful idea, because Cullen is one of those people who pushes through pain and it makes him stronger. I don't know that he was ever meant to be fully happy.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
RealityGal replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
That commercial is the worst, because a) I think asking kids what they want for dinner makes for 35 year old adults who only eat Raviolis out of a can and b) all of those options are unhealthy and presented as being better. Why is she hiding it from her husband, maybe he likes her moustache tickling him when she kisses him. He probably already knows about it. Don't shave it girl, rock that 'stache! And by the way, I've never been that excited over a clean dish, and why do people in dishwasher commercials only use white or see through dishes? -
It must be said. and I consider this a PSA for all current and future gold-diggers. Current and future golddiggers: The NFL is not a good place to look for marks..I mean men. The NFL has the lowest average salary for players. Their contracts are generally short, and their average amount of time playing is also short. I think the average NFL player only does 5 years of playing. For every Payton Manning or Drew Brees there are 10 Kory's who live on the fringe and are making good money, but not superstar money. The head injuries are well documented, and brain damage that affects the mind long term is real. You'll do better in just about any other sport (with the exception of hockey), even tennis and golf!

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to David T. Cole's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta
I'm totally fine with everyone talking about it, but I think the producers should have been a little more even handed, and what they aired should have been a mix of the other castmembers POV and whatever Stevie/Joseline, Benzino/Althea had to say. S/J against B/A was the main beef, so it only seems right that we get more than 5 minutes from their POV. Especially when most of the talk centered around insinuating that Joseline was on something, it only seems fair to give her equal time to respond. The show of course has no responsibility to be fair, it just seemed very one sided. LMAO @ Tami and Deb - not only was it lame for the reason you stated, but when Deb called Waka Tami seemed upset that he wasn't there. If you think he would have gotten himself in trouble you should have been all sorts of happy that he wasn't there, unless you think your fashion line is going to support the two of you. BTW - I wonder why Benzino and Althea chose to leave the taping? If they knew Stevie and Joseline were being forced off the stage I would have thought they would have relished being onstage so they could give their side of the argument uninterrupted and make themselves look completely innocent. -

Will Kenya get an apology? (S7 spoiler)
RealityGal replied to badbolocolo's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
The only people I've heard of having a problem with her are her castmates on reality shows which are built on drama and disagreement. Almost all of those same castmates from RH have had problems with each other as far as I remember. And she had drama with 3 people on a reality show, built around drama, with at least 12 other contestants. Almost every year its been on some Apprentice castmates clash, because the show is built on drama and people jockeying for camera time. Even that guy who played the Hulk had issues with other castmates, so did that guy from Penn and Teller, so did Stephen Baldwin, Nene and Lisa Lampenelli. And thats just a partial list. And Donald Trump doesn't seem to like anyone who disagrees with him. The truth is that reality shows are built around drama, and I don't think having "beef" with people in that world is necessarily an accurate barometer of a personality. So I'm not sure that clashing with 7 other people from the realm of reality TV counts as rubbing everyone she comes in contact with the wrong way. Especially when one of those people is Donald Trump who seems to hate everyone who disagrees with him. IMO, the real barometer of a persons personality is how they behave when the cameras are off or when they aren't being watched. I don't see much evidence that Kenya treats people poorly that aren't associated with reality TV. In fact, it looked like Kenya is friends with Boris Kodjoe. She has 31 credits on IMdB, and some of them for movies. I don't think she would continue to book work if she was such a horrible person, because there are many talented and beautiful black actresses to work with on any project. I think if she was difficult as a person she would have booked one show, and everyone else would refuse to work with her. It happens to much bigger stars than Kenya, I mean, look how Megan Fox fell off after behaving poorly. Michael Bay didn't want her in any of his movies after she dissed him. Marc Cherry killed off Nicholette Sheridan's character on Desperate Housewives after she talked shit, and she was a major part of that show. Katherine Heigl became known as being difficult to work with and has pretty much dropped off the face of the earth, and she was everywhere for a while. So I certainly think, if female stars that are that big can see their careers take a nosedive because they rub people the wrong way, it stands to reason that Kenya Moore wouldn't have been booked for anything if she really rubbed everyone the wrong way in her life outside of reality TV. Contrast that with Phaedra who treats people poorly and lies outside of the show (see her deposition, where instead of answering questions from an attorney, she decided to doodle and behave rudely). IMO, thats a more revealing look at who Phaedra is because she behaved that way with someone who was simply asking her questions about a lawsuit she filed. There was no reason for her to be rude and she still was, she gained nothing from her rudeness, it wasn't part of a calculated move or campaign to make her more of a name brand or to keep her relevant or to play into an image. If anything, the way she behaved in that deposition went against the public image she has tried to maintain or a classy and intelligent woman, because that deposition painted her as someone stupid enough to argue over whether or not she is a "public figure" and classless enough to sit around doodling like a 5 year old when someone asked her a question in a deposition. -

Part II 1. Mimi - ugh, more whisper voice indignation! You, who have snapped on your friends because they called you out on your big fat lie is talking ill of someone else having mood swings... 1b. Mimi - will they be giving her a lie detector test? It annoys me to no end that she and her friends try to make her out to be a victim. According to her, she was a victim of TSA agents and maybe Nikko, according to her friends she is a victim of Nikko. I don't think she is a victim of anyone. I think she was in on making and releasing a porno from the jump. So, lets settle this Maury style and have her take a lie detector test. She is the one that has been lying and getting upset at anyone who questions her. At this point, Nikko has pretty much admitted to lying (he can't even deny anything with a straight face) but its Mimi who has been indignant all season about how she had nothing to do with the sex tape and is just a victim of circumstance. She needs the lie detector, not Nikko. 2. Nikko - rushed off stage? really? you're not that important sweetpea. 3. Kirk - I do not like Kirk, but credit where its due, it was cool of him to make sure Tami was okay, and to make sure Rasheeda got out of there. 4. Editing - I think a lot of what was said about Joseline is true in terms of her thinking that she is better than the rest of the cast. But I would be interested to know exactly why she told Ariane she would "let her live" because I think she couldn't care less about Ariane, so I'm thinking that Mimi had said something and Joseline was responding to that. 5. Joseline - I don't think she is better than the rest of the cast, but I think she has the most hustle. She is the only one who has substantially raised her profile and taken advantage of the opportunities afforded by the show. She went from being a dancer, and probably a hooker to being a singer and arguably a reality show star. She is the center of attention on the show. Mimi, in a pathetic attempt to stay relevant, released a porn tape IMO. No matter how much shit Mimi talks, Joseline didn't have to release a sex tape to capitalize on whatever fame she has. Mimi, who always likes to talk shit, went from a woman who had her own business, to a woman who is basically selling shower rods via sex tape in a bid to stay relevant. Erica used her opportunity to sell a line of overpriced lycra club dresses. Karlie - who I think has the second most amount of hustle, opened a weave spot and released a song. Tammy had a fashion show. -

^^ I did not like this either. How is it 30 minutes was dedicated to the commentary of people not involved in the fight and 5 minutes to the people involved. Especially for all of them to basically say she is doing drugs. No one wanted to actually say that she is on drugs and so it makes me suspicious, because no one can really sue you for hinting or guessing, and so if they knew I think they would say. I think if she was really on crack, someone would have said something. Benzino found some random to say he had sex with her, but can't find anyone to say that they have seen her smoking crack? Althea allegedly has someone who says they saw her with a crack pipe, but I call bullshit on that story. It doesn't even sound as though anyone even asked her if she was on anything, they just let the rest of the crew insinuate that she was on crack. Erica ought to be ashamed of herself for talking shit about how anyone is dressed when Joseline's outfit look like it could be a Classiq! dress if it was just made in Lycra. Kalenna's dress reminds me of when Zach said on PR last week that one of the dresses had a "boob canyon" -
I have googled pictures of Anson Mount because I'm just that sort of girl, and honestly, I think he is much hotter as his character. I haven't minded the hair, but I do think he has been looking a little too skinny lately. But of course, there are those eyes....those eyes..... As for Naomi, I don't think the character should die per se, I don't think Cullen could handle that, and I hope he doesn't have to. The death of his wife and child tore him to pieces, and I think the man that he was right after that happened may have not been so great. But I think it would be tidy to just package off Naomi back to the Mormon compound at some point. Maybe they fear an imminent attack by the American Indians and he decides that she and William are safer at the compound than in the Cheyenne, but he wants to stay and fight and then she just decides that she doesn't want to leave because she misses home or something along those lines. I'm all about artistic license from the neck up, I want everyone to have reasonable teeth. I also thought it was Ezra and was shocked at how well Cullen handled Ezra's death. I thought for sure if that guy killed Ezra Cullen would have killed him immediately. Glad it wasn't Ezra because how would anyone have told Ruth?
