I saw them on Austin City Limits a couple (?) of years ago. Really enjoyed them. I was listening to the new album last week on NPR First Listen and agree about "GotItBad". I liked the whole album.

I don't work for them, but... Mr ebk loves his Hydro Flask coffee thermos-type thing. It does keep your beverage hot all day, so if you fill it in the morning and take it with you, you will have hot coffee all day - or until it's empty. And you won't have to go downstairs.

I usually sell my Yankees tickets (I second @kariyaki's love of StubHub!!), but I figured I'd go to this game. Then ESPN changed it to dark-time (thanks - not), so I did mange to off-load 2 of the seats and I spent a lovely evening with my sis. Lovely, except for the actual game... The only thing about StubHub might be that if the tickets are comps, the barcode might not take (since they don't want you making money on free tickets). Hope it works out. It's a shame you can't go, but ZZ Top is fine substitute! (If you're close enough to drive down for a game, maybe next summer when I'm up, we can meet up? I'd even suffer through a game at Yankee Stadium... :-) ).

It seems everyone came to the game dressed as seats tonight. Where are the vaunted Yankee fans?? (Not that I'm sorry they didn't show up in droves...there are enough of them to annoy me anyway :-) )

Agree about no date indicated, but I figured it was recent since he was talking about the Nikki Minaj segment that had just been on a few days before. But who's gonna remember that down the road... I watched the segment on The Americans after this and there was a date on that (April). That was also quite good.

I totally forgot Keith was doing the game tonight - one I'd never bother to watch normally :-) I just turned it on and now I'm sorry I missed the rest of it. ETA: Timmay is an added bonus!! And Mr. Perez was fun, too. I must remember to tune in the next game they do.

But if we win the rest of our games, we can finish .500... hahahahahahahaha

The Os are doing a Kevin Gausman GoT 'head on the 14th...which they're now advertising just as a "Game of Thrones" 'head. That's what happens when you trade the guy away before the giveaway. I can't make it to that one either, because it's on a weeknight right after I get back from vacation. I'm thinking ebay...in a couple of years.

I get no credit - I wasn't there. Kinda reminds me of when I went to Tuscon a few years ago. We had a morning flight so we could get there, hop in the car, drive to Phoenix and get a 'head. Of course, the flight was cancelled, we scrambled for another and ended up getting there just after the game started - all 'heads gone! On the way to the car after, I was chatting with a dad and his 2 little girls, and they generously gave me one of theirs! It was lovely!! That's some good parenting there! And @kariyaki, I'm a little bummed about not getting the 'head, but really, I had to rearrange a few 'heads last week to fit the Trey Mancini 'head I got into the collection. My office is quite full. Those giveaways in Houston look great!

Club level, section 32something. $24 each. Mr ebk and my best friend from junior high school (he lives in Washington Heights) are going with me. If I could have gotten tickets under $20, I may have bought an extra. Alas ...

Relatively reasonably priced tickets procured for the Mets game tonight. One more 'head for the office!! Then a week of theatre and drinking - yay!!!!!!

My favorite part of that was that I now know what James Menendez looks like, so when he anchors the BBC World Service Newshour, this is all I can think about. Not that I couldn't have looked him up before. This was just more fun.

We gave 'em 5 field goals and a safety. Sigh.......

I hate to tell Joe, but he didn't coin that phrase. Tony Kornheiser has been using it on his radio show/podcast (and probably on PTI) for years. Lots o' years.

I'm okay at the moment. Adam Jones is still here...for the moment. The thought that he's refusing a trade to stick it to the team for some reason amuses me. I don't know if it's true, but it makes me smile.

I'll be there August 4th - for a 'head, of course. I may have an extra ticket... I'm waiting for prices to crash on StubHub. Today, I went to a State of the Orioles Q&A before the game. I really wanted to let them know they could have skipped the whole thing because the state of the Orioles is bad. The end. Although, the game went pretty well. The giveaway 'head is cute, too.

I know about them because the peeps on the Led Zeppelin forum I hang out on seem to love them. Can't say I'm familiar with their work, but watching this, it certainly is a lot like Zep. A lot. And yeah, that's not a bad thing, but still, you'd think they'd want to stand out on their own a bit. A coworker went to see them last weekend and said the first part of the show was great, the end was great (I think they played the song they played on Fallon as the encore), but the middle of the show seemed to sound the same. All the songs ran together. He thinks because they're all so young, they need more experience in how to actually entertain an audience. They have lots of talent. Hope they can pull it all together.
