S46.E07: Jason Bateman / Morgan Wallen

Nice that he's able to poke fun at himself. -
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's Joe - again!!! On AM Joy - Now Without Joy. He will probably be on every show except Rachel before this is over. It's sad that seeing clips of Harry Truman is triggering.

Thanks for posting that. It was a wonderful read. And I was going to quote the line about putting cheese on his sandwich, but I closed the tab and don't have any more free articles left - oh well, you'll have to trust it was hilarious.

4. Read between the lines I got several more, but I'll leave them out there for other people.

I got home from work last night and ESPN was on. Mr. ebk said there's fundraising on PBS, so he had to turn off Newshour, and Joe was on with Joy. So ESPN it was!

I just watched a 60 Minutes story about Corden and the show. If I hadn't ever watched it, I'd think it was the most marvelous show ever produced and that James was a comic genius. Alas... I have watched the show. It's not, and he's not. The interview was kinda fun though. I give all credit to Bill Whitaker and 60 Minutes.

Wait - did you just say that Joe Buck was very good at his job?? Have you had too much turkey???

We usually go to Mr. ebk's brother's house for dinner. This year, we're staying home...and having spaghetti! He is still baking an apple pie, though, so we've got that to look forward to. I love spaghetti.

Fashion (Turn to the Left)!: Movie Outfits You Love

My mother had her portrait painted as a young teen in a jumper-thing like Dorothy wears, but hers was red. And since we didn't have a color TV (and my mom's name was Dorothy), I thought the dress Judy wore was red as well. It wasn't until I was in college that I first saw the movie in color. I was...taken aback. But I got over it. 🙂 -
If anyone's still up and cares, Joe will be on with Lawrence O'Donnell shortly. Yay?
-
I admit to missing the beginning of that segment. I walked in the room and was totally confused to see Joe there. And then, he didn't mention the book, so I was more confused. I'm sooooooo glad they rectified that and gave him a little publicity... 😉

Drink? That's what I'll be doing...

And after that, we were treated to Brittany Howard! A good show!! -
Good grief, Joe is on right now with Nicole and he hasn't mentioned his book. Yet

Don Giller is the most fabulous Letterman archiver ever. If you're looking for anything Letterman, Don's got it. -
This is a great idea! Room Rater agrees.

"Staaawp the hammering!!!!!!" 🙂 Classic. I thought the handoff tonight was lovely. They clearly like each other. I thought it was interesting earlier when Ali was hosting and Lawrence would try to chat for a moment and it seemed Ali was having none of it. Then, a few nights later, had to explain that he wasn't opposed to chatting, but wasn't really versed on how it worked. I thought it was charming. I'm so glad Rachel is back. I hope Susan is fully recovered soon and Rachel can get back to a studio with better lighting. That's the only thing that's bugging me - the lighting is pretty terrible.
-
I was actually scared there for a while. It was as personal as I've ever seen her. And I totally understand.

Honestly, if you want to spend money on Joe, you can join a Smithsonian program for the low, low price of $45 - and that includes a book! With an autograph!! I don't know if there will be a Q&A, though, so if you actually want to talk to him...well, you should examine your life priorities. https://smithsonianassociates.org/ticketing/tickets/joe-scarborough-on-trumans-crusade-against-communism?utm_source=RAad&utm_content=FEauto&utm_campaign=featevent

I had to turn the Bengals game off, which is good because I got to enjoy the end of the Bills game. Wow... I don't care about either team, so I can appreciate a dramatic ending.

Chelsea Perretti was the Not My Job guest today on Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me. Here the link to the segment, although the audio isn't posted yet. Probably later today. https://www.npr.org/2020/11/14/934425019/not-my-job-we-quiz-comic-chelsea-peretti-on-the-chelsea-football-club

Rudy Giuliani - man asking a rat if it's going to finish that cockroach. I tried to remember that line when the show was first on. Lucky for me, it's the rerun tonight and it still makes me laugh out loud. And, I can type it out here for posterity. -
This is why I watch SNL - to keep up with the hip, young musical acts! (That's current lingo, right?). He's been on a few times and is quite charming. I always enjoy The Weeknd Update. Honestly, the way I keep up with a lot of music is through SNL, Colbert, and between innings at ballgames. Used to be able to add Letterman in there, but alas...
