  1. Her hair is fabulous. This open is also fabulous.
  2. I think I have to go with Hollywood Squares with Paul Lynde and Charley Weaver. And all the other people. Lots of fun and seemed so adult when I was a kid. I also liked Match Game when Charles Nelson Reilly was on.
  3. Brand new from the brilliant Jon Batiste - I love it!!!
  4. Song titles in the cold open - brilliant!!

Well... it was a fun season. Sigh...........................................
  6. This year's KC Honorees. A good group. I hope they can make the celebrations work.

    Yay team!!!
  8. Totally agree! When they previewed what the show was going to be, I rolled my eyes a bit, but turns out it was a thoroughly enjoyable hour. I love Tom Hanks. And Meryl and George, but really Tom! And the monologue was fabulous, as always.
  9. I had tickets to see Sturgill Simpson this past March. I'd love to see him. I also had tickets to see John Prine in June. Alas... I'd also love to see Jon Batiste. He's been through town twice recently and I couldn't make it to either show.
  10. Jonathan Capehart I guess this will work.
  11. I love Stephen. That is all.
  12. A nice interview with Rege-Jean Page on All Things Considered today: https://www.npr.org/2021/01/04/953314526/rege-jean-page-on-redefining-regency-era-masculinity-in-bridgerton

That's a much nicer response than the ones swirling around in my brain...
  14. My favorite is the end of one of those commercials where the guy is trying to help a car back out of a parking space and the "coach" stops him saying "you don't know him". I don't know why, but I laugh every time.

    How 'bout them Ravens!!!!! Yay!
  16. The FanDuel commercial featuring the "genuine James Harrison tackle" - haaaaaate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. You watched Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show, right?
  18. Loved a Teacher. WU was on fire! I was already familiar with the Smokey Robinson thing, so I was laughing throughout. And the Grinch sketch was, yeah, disturbing, but really funny. Otherwise, it was a Kristen Wiig show. Happy Holidays everyone! Here's to a much better 2021.
  19. Good grief - are all the good guys throwing in the towel?? Mark Shields is leaving The Newshour. This, an hour after one of our local anchors, Bruce Johnson, retired after 44 years on the station. Sigh.................
  20. Mr. ebk has the book. I may read it after he's finished. I looooved the podcast and will be listening again soon. I live in Maryland and am old enough to remember Agnew, but I never realized how much was going on there. Yikes. It's a great listen.
  21. This is terrible news. I'm really quite sad about this. She was a singular talent.
  22. Agree with all of this... except (there's always something 🙂 ) I wasn't crazy about the baking or rapper sketches. I loved Questlove being there and thought Punky was great as Queen Latifah, but the sketch was only meh. Bill Barr/Eric Cartman is perfect. And just as Pete and Timothee were starting to talk about the Jets score in Sportsmax, I started reading a column in the WaPo titled "In politics and sports, final score is sacrosanct". Timing is everything. I though Timothee was charming. Really enjoyed the show.
  23. Not quite as bizarre as Tiny Horse...
  24. The TIAA commercial where the guy's kids keep interrupting his zoom presentation makes be totally stabby. Those kids are old enough to understand "don't do that you morons." So tell them not to do that, you moron dad. Good grief. If I were that guy's boss, I'd fire him on the spot.

Mr. ebk mentioned it was amusing that the Taters kept Miami's thing going... again...
