His House seat will need a special election. However... a friend has posited that DeSantis will appoint Gaetz to Rubio's Senate seat if he (Rubio) is confirmed as SoS. Which would suck. Gaetz said he won't take his House seat in January and we all know we can trust him 🙄. Also, if he does, the whole ethics thing is back on the table. Yes

He's also going to star in Streetcar at BAM starting in February. I'm thinking about it, but 1) it's in Brooklyn b) tickets will probably be reeeeeaaaally expensive and iii) it's in Brooklyn. Maybe means testing would help. But what would definitely help is abolishing the salary cap on paying into the system. At the moment, if you make more than $168K, you don't pay into SS on your salary over that amount. Everyone should pay in based on what they're earning.

I got up (pre-dawn!) this morning for my last PT appointment - and it was cancelled. Trying to decide whether to reschedule, or just let it go. The good thing is that I went back to sleep and got up at the perfectly reasonable hour of 11am 😄 Now off to do the errands I was going to do at 9am...
