  1. More Bowen Yang. 3 things: 1) The article is reeeeeally long. B) I haven't read the whole thing yet because it's really long (see 1), but the beginning is interesting. iii) I don't even know if anyone without a sub to The New Yorker can read this. I don't see a way to share. Bowen Yang is sorry he's not your clown today
  2. Mr. ebk just said we should watch it! And so we will.
  3. Thank you Jimmy Kimmel for saying Jon Stewart should be ashamed of himself! 😄 The In Memoriam was well done.
  4. Henry Winkler is the best.
  5. This! He's doing the best show in late night now, and has been for quite a few years. And, I saw his stand-up earlier this year. He's fabulous.
  6. Sigh... I love Seth. I wish he would win once. At least once.
  7. That was a good intro - even Kristin Wiig didn't annoy me too much.
  8. I love Candice Bergen
  9. Do you know what he said?

We will never win another game. I guess I can console myself by thinking of all the postseason ticket money I'm going to save. Sigh........................
  11. I had a great theatre weekend on our trip last week. Highlight was Oh, Mary! The stupidest, funniest play I've seen in a looooong time. See it if at all possible!! Next, we saw Hadestown with Stephanie Mills. We saw the original cast, but love Stephanie, so wanted to see it again. Thoroughly enjoyed it again. The understudy for Orpheus was on (Brandon Cameron) and he was fantastic!! I feel like he totally made the show, which I think might be emphasized for me because the weak link in the original cast IMO was Reeve Carney. This time, the weak link was Yolo, but on the whole, the cast is great. Lastly, Stereophonic. I really liked it. My friend said he would have enjoyed more of a plot, but I think the character study was incredibly involving. And then we ate everything not nailed down 😄 Looking forward to the January trip to see Gypsy!!

Iron Splash!! There is no way on this earth I would ever sit in the Splash Zone. I feel I need to make that clear in case anyone was wondering...

This! Thanks for putting this into the words that were not forming in my brain. The concourses are narrow and curving, which for a new(ish) ballpark, is quite a strange design decision. We were sitting in the last row of the lower part of the box seats and there's no appreciable rake there, so it was hard to see. I was looking forward to the second game because we had seats in the club level, so there would have been some height at least. Ah well... Thanks for your good thoughts! We're in NYC now and in the previous 50 years I've been coming here, I've never noticed how uneven the sidewalks are 😄 Take care of your feet kids - they're important!
  14. I liked him and his show when it was on. After the June debate, he posted some tweets that rubbed me totally the wrong way and he kept going with it for a while. I've just had enough.

He was horrible. The only upside of that was getting to see several closeups of Grady Sizemore...
  16. I wish this - 🙄 - was on the emoji reaction line. Seriously, he should just go away.

I love Kevin. I did feel sorry for the Sox tonight (and yesterday) in an abstract sort of way.
  18. The RSV vaccine is one and done, so you're off the hook!

I should mention that we made it to one game at Petco. I was less than impressed, but I think I picked the wrong seats. I was looking forward to the second game because I think we had better seats, but I'm clumsy, so that didn't happen. We did get to the Old Town Mexican Cafe - it was fab. Thanks for the suggestion. We also ate at Monello in Little Italy (I injured my feet at the farmers market there- ah well). A friend of Mr. ebk's recommended it. It was good, although for some reason, not what I was expecting. The friend also recommended The Marine Room in La Jolla. A spectacular evening in all aspects. We went to the farmers market (where Mr. ebk got a wonderful homemade PopTart!). I tripped in a pothole/rut in the street. He went back to the hotel to get the cane he always packs. Walking back to the hotel, I stepped off of a curb and the gutter was sloped backwards, and that's where I broke the bone in my other foot. Can't take me anywhere! Thanks for asking. Go Os!!!

Mine did okay - thanks for asking. Going to the game tomorrow afternoon. Weather is supposed to be fab. I sprained my left ankle and broke a bone in my right foot in San Diego last week, so I'm glad our seats tomorrow aren't too difficult to get to. Yippee.

Went to Dodger Stadium tonight. The last couple times I was there, I sat in the upper deck in the cheap(er) seats. Tonight, we splurged on loge seats, where we discovered that the seats are sized for children. At least the game was fun and the weather was great. Tomorrow, off to San Diego. Games Friday and Saturday. This will be our first games at Petco. Went a couple times to the old stadium. If anyone has suggestions on what else to do in San Diego, feel free to thrown them out here.

They did that for me as a birthday present, and I really appreciate it! 😄
