Her acting choices are still annoying me. There's only one person on TV who should literally be breathless with every line of their dialogue. Jack Bauer. And you, Addison, are no Jack Bauer.
-
I vaguely recall she had some kind of procedure to get that ass, to increase her attractiveness is some way I forget now. It's intentional.

I would argue that in this specific instance, the normal rules of evaluating moral choices, like "if I do this thing just to survive, what does that make me?" can be suspended for Joel and Ellie. They are in the unique position of potentially saving the human race from extinction, so they may make repugnant but perfectly understandable choices based on achieving that goal. In fact we might even urge them to do those things if it will save us all.

Meh, this thing with Kate and Rom just doesn't feel organic. Also, what did they do to Val this season? Yes she's always been a little over the top, but this season she's essentially a Looney Toons character.

I wouldn't really miss Dan and Louise tbh

Oh man, for a split second my mind screamed "SPOILER!" lol, don't do that to my heart.

In season 4. This is from the show wiki: "In "Lim," Jordan is assigned to perform an abortion, but she refuses due to her religious beliefs. She later changes her mind, but is forced to walk out during the procedure and a short-tempered Lim assigns Jordan to scut work as a punishment. Jordan later admits to Lim that her behavior was not just motivated by her religious beliefs, but the fact that Jordan herself had an abortion, choosing to place her career over motherhood, although Jordan doesn't regret her choice. To Jordan's surprise, a sympathetic Lim places her back on surgery after hearing her story."

That sidelong look Asher gave him was hilarious. No I'm pretty sure she's admitted to having one before this.

Not bad people ;)

If there's anyone who hasn't seen Game of Thrones and has no intention of seeing it (or doesn't mind potential spoilers), this compilation of Ramsey's scenes shows you the seeds of Ellie's ferocity.

Since I haven't played the game I don't know if Ellie's infection status been explained, but if I think about how infection works, I don't believe she's infected right now. I suspect that when she was bitten, she was indeed infected, and the fungus began to tunnel under the skin of her arm, but her body was able to manufacture some kind of immunity to it, and the infection was eradicated. She probably still has that immunity right now, but over time it would fade. If she were infected again, her body would respond in the same way. I think at this the point marks on her arm are simply scarring from the initial activity of the fungus, which is now gone, leaving only the scars behind. Now, if cured fungal infections are different than most bacterial/viral infections, and the fungus is still lying dormant in her arm, someone who knows more can correct me.

Bella Ramsey was 11 years old when she started in GoT, and she was an absolute FORCE out of the gate.

I think the guy whose neck got broke by Joel back at the college. The one who rammed the end of a broken bat into Joel's gut before he died.

S21.E06: Bernie Sanders; John Heilemann; Russell Brand

I guess he's forgotten how to deal with dissenting opinions, after having so many guests who validate all of his positions. -
Anyone know if Mistress is any good at lipsyncing? If she's not, that would clearly be the reason she was kept out of the bottom this episode. ETA: haha never mind, she has lipsynced in the show, everyone has, and she wasn't bad.
-
I am ambivalent towards her, but she rocked that lipsync. Malaysia didn't have a chance.

Loosey did well in the interview, just as good as Sasha, maybe better, I thought. As for Mistress, yeah, her being safe was BS.

Yeah, I had the same reaction. -

Russell Brand is over the top, but from an ideological perspective, much of what he says is right. The problem is, he isn't acknowledging the nuances created by reality. Then again, once you start to do that, you slow down and change becomes harder. I think every movement probably needs uncompromising people like him to keep driving forward, but yeah, it can be tiring to listen to after a while. I will say, he's the first person in a long time to get the whole panel riled up. John was fuming lol. Even Bill might hesitate to bring Russell back for a while. -
Get those Frites Away from My Face! Drag Race Belgique

I think I would have preferred to keep Edna and lose one of the other two. She reminds me of Vivian from CDR and I really liked her. I will say that Drag Couenne and Susan are emerging as my favourites. -
I would imagine that if Ziggy couldn't do it, it was programmed that way, likely due to ethical guidelines that the humans in the program would also have to follow. I mean, if you gave winning numbers to someone, it would dilute the winnings for whomever it was that actually won, and who knows what effect it would have on those people's lives. Best not to mess around in that area.

It makes perfect sense, and I think you're right. Unfortunately, that creates a vacuum into which many cult leaders would grow. A lot of people would be questioning after something like this happens, and plenty of narcissists (both the sincere and the scammers) would be willing to fill that gap. I expect plenty of little Westboro-like pocket cults have developed around the world (outside areas like the QZs) saying the apocalypse is a punishment from God, Allah, whomever. And history has shown that the same groups are typically blamed, over and over, for what's wrong with society. Let's face it, religion or not, a significant portion of humanity has always, and still does to this day persecute, to some degree, people who deviate from the societal norm. I think you're right about this. It's only been 20 years and from what we can tell, people are still largely in some sort of elevated survival mode, better and more organized now than it was when things started, but still pretty miserable. I don't think there's been time yet to put together a community that resembles pre-apocalypse society. TWD's Commonwealth was ridiculous, what's happening in this show is much more realistic, I think.

I'm out. This show is not offering enough entertainment value for me to waste an hour a week on it. Before I left I wanted to say, from the start the actor who plays Lane reminded me of someone else, and I finally figured it out: that guy from the Goldbergs. Not a show I watch, but I saw a commercial and they look nearly identical to me. Anyway, peeps, enjoy!

Louise's near-agoraphobia was out of character.

I have to agree. Whatever it is, be it Christian, Islam, or something else, the fanatical variant is called fundamentalism for a reason: the concepts are fundamental to the believer, and the societal rules derived from these are typically regimented in quite a ruthless way. Deviation is not tolerated. I expect there are some anthropology studies that have looked into this. I wonder if they confirm some of our assumptions. ETA for @Uncle JUICE's point, I think perhaps for these kinds of fundamentalists, adhering to the rules, not being a deviant, is very much a part of survival.
