  1. There is one good takeaway from this season. That end credit music is lovely. A minor variation on rockabye baby. Love it.
  2. I agree with this, I thought she won. Admittedly, her sexiness is tinged with nerdy awkwardness, but she put her heart into it 100%, and I was both surprised and turned on lol. I was chuffed to avoid the Amanda-Jane fireworks, the latter of whom took every opportunity to put Amanda down again and again. Not classy, Jane. When she said she was going to spend the money on her body, my eyes rolled backwards. How disappointing.
  3. No, but I do remember thinking that Jenkins took to the whole lap dance concept with incredible intuition for someone who'd never heard of it before lol.
  4. Thanks! I think I remember a suggestion that the husband's mother was murdered by his father. Sorry I don't remember anyone's name.
  5. I riot if it's not Katey Sagal.
  6. I'm watching cable (I know!) in Canada, so maybe it's different here.
  7. I have to disagree, I think Jane won the lipsync. She brought the funny that Ru loves. As for the looks this week, nothing topped Nymphia's book cover look. The house was truly booted down.
  8. Another commercial for an HBO show during the interview, so I guess that's going to be a thing now.
  9. Only 3 episodes left. Shouldn't a coherent narrative have emerged by now?
  10. Well fuck. Asher was my favourite character. If they had to pick someone to kill off in the final season, I would have been fine with literally anyone else. This sucks.
  11. During Hannah and Marina's lipsync, I was shocked that Hannah was really keeping up with Marina. I still expected Marina to win (the strong US influence in the Philippines seems to have resulted in Filipino drag, or at least Marina's, being somewhat Amercanized), but I wasn't mad when Hannah did. I could see how a judge who understands non-American drag could pick her. A final between two queens primarily known for comedy is why I love Euro drag. Tia totally deserved to win, so happy for her. She seems to be such a decent person. Too bad her mom didn't live to see it. On the minus side, ugh Scarlet and Jonbers, poor loser is not a good look. On the plus side, even if Tia and Dada aren't in a romance, they sure look like good friends now. Although I still wish a Canadian queen had made the cut, this has been one of the most entertaining Drag Race seasons, of any franchise, I've seen in a long time.
  12. Yeah they buried her, which I liked, nice touch to show they're retaining their humanity. I think the last scene with Gabe was present day. She mentioned to R&M that she "shot someone a year ago who was a confidante" (paraphrased), presumably referring to Gabe, to convince them she wasn't Anne anymore. The fact she lied showed us she still was.
  13. I thought it was interesting how they suggested that, deep down, Jadis was always torn between CRM and Alexandria. How even when she was all in on the CRM, she was keeping that other door open, keeping Rick alive, hoping Rick and Michonne would win, even if subconsciously. And her scenes with Gabriel really helped shore up that idea.
  14. I thought that last scene with Jadis dying, giving the ring to Rick, was powerful. I didn't expect her death to be so emotional. I teared up. Of the 3 new shows this is the best. So of course it won't continue lol.
  15. I can't help it, I like Kara Swisher, she seems to always tell it like it is. Did anyone else have an HBO commercial in the middle of the conversation with her? Speaking of commercials, the show started repeating on CNN on Saturdays at 8. My friend watched the opening monologue and said there were commercials. But the time slot is only an hour, so if there are ads then there must be some parts cut out to accommodate them. Did anyone watch the whole thing on both to see what got cut?
  16. @davidcalgary29 it's like you're reading my mind. Love Tia so much!
  17. I think that was the right winner. And the right Ms. Congeniality. I know there was some weird judging once in a while, but I liked the season overall.
  18. Pretty damning allegations there. And the consistency doesn't help Shangela's case. I may go to hell for pulling this out, but I thought it was a strange thing: "Helmer, who ... is only using his first name out of fear of employment retaliation, filed the complaint in Los Angeles" Honestly how many people with the first name Helmer can there be in LA? Or anywhere. If I were them I'd still be worried.
  19. With all the trouble Trevor has caused by accessing various devices, by this point I would have switched over to biometric security on everything.
  20. I know we've done that kind of thing before (thinking of UK for sure), but that was the high point of the episode for me. I also think Jane and Q should have won.
