S12.E07: What Would Michelle O Do

Look at how quickly Gregg returned to being Nene's butler. Exactly where she wants him to be. -
S12.E07: What Would Michelle O Do

And he had the nerve to show up on camera in this 1993 LA Gear track suit..... So Nene's life coach just agrees with everything she says. Now I see why Nene *thinks* she's making progress. -
RHoP In The Media: What's Going Down in the DMV

Now y'all know Juan ain't gonna be in nobody's wedding anytime soon. Who wants to take the over/under on how long the engagement will be. I personally would be shocked if it was less than 2 years. -
I'm happy that CT and Dee won and didn't mind Jordan winning because he worked for it during the season. Rogan on the other hand gets a bit old eyeroll from me. I was really hoping he'd get purged in that last bit... I'm glad that a puzzle was included in the final leg and everyone had to do it. It was a great reminder to them that not everything is about having strength and endurance; you need to be able to think through shit as well. And I can't with any of their "It's not fair that I lost on a puzzle" whining. Cara sitting on the floor of a luxury yacht while bawling in a corner by herself was one of the funniest things I've seen this season. It legit made me laugh out loud. Ninja is so annoying. Yet, I love that she annoys the fuck out of all of them (especially people like Zach) and doesn't give a shit. She's definitely someone that was picked on a lot as a kid and is now relatively confident enough to not care. I appreciate that.

Given all the talk about DeShawn and how reasonably likable Nene used to be, I remembered that season 1 is now on Hulu. Anyone interested in a Re-watch & snark? Season 1 is only 9 episodes.

S12.E06: Where There’s a Wig, There’s a Way
luckyroll3 replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
Oh nah, bish! Not Chad! LMAO....i'm dead! But so true. Toronto Carnival is huge. I'm Caribbean (USVI, BVI, and Anguilla) and so are a good number of my friends (mostly Jamaican and Trini). Most of them, including some of my family, have gone to the Toronto carnival and loved it. It definitely would have been cool for them to go to carnival in one of the islands, but I'm looking forward to seeing their trip because Toronto on it's own is an awesome city (I was just there in September for a conference...and I too was looking for Drake. 😁). -

7 wigs for 7 drag queens. She also hates Tanya because of Tanya's fashions. Yeah, Todd didn't know about Kayla until she was almost an adult. I don't think the difference in how he is with Ace vs Kayla is due to their gender; I agree that it has to do with bonding. He's been able to bond with Ace from birth and contribute to his life/formative years. He also seems to treat her more like a peer sometimes. It makes sense because of her age when they met; he probably figured he didn't need to focus on raising her cause mom already took care of that. They probably need to work more on a parent/child relationship. You can't go to Canada if you have a DUI? Lol! I'd be interested in knowing exactly what google terms you've been using! Edges are the edge of your hairline. There's lots of talk about "losing edges" because it typically happens when your hair is braided too tight, and the hair at the "edges" tends to be very fine and can be pulled out or the strands broken. Women with wigs or weaves, usually have their hair braided underneath, which is why the edge conversation was "appropriate" for the event. (Well as appropriate as Kenya can be.) -
Why has every damn episode of this season been 90 minutes, but the finale episodes are only an hour each??? I agree. The only way for this to not be a disadvantage was for them to have all but one person helping to carry the weight, same as the UK. But limiting them to 4 people carrying the weight of 8, while UK only carries the weight of 5? It either wasn't planned well or it was planned specifically to screw the US so that the "underdogs" could emerge victorious. Very true. I've had fried scorpions before and they were delicious. They tasted like crispy chicken skin. Those grubs looked disgusting and I defintiely wouldn't have been able to swallow them live. And I don't even want to think of the goo that would pop out when you bite into one. Exactly. They keep bitching about a strategy that their team/alliance initiated. But the underhandedness is always okay when Johnny is the mastermind. Whatever Zach. (Although he did make me chuckle when he finished the math problem with lightning speed and shouted out his college.) I hate Paulie, but when someone says they can't see or stand and that they need water, don't take away the camelpak filled with water! Also, what in the hell has he don't to Cara? I don't remember her crying over things like this before. She would definitely get frustrated and mad at herself, but she would keep working at whatever it was until she figured it out or time was called. This whole "I can't do it; whaaa, whaaa, whaaa!" business is different. It's as if it's a way to let Paulie know she needs him or can't do things on her own unless he's there to "guide" her. I've never been a huge Cara fan, but I've always had a small (tiny) amount of respect for her (never when it came to her taste in men though). Something about this just doesn't sit well with me.

Cynthia said Nene's friendship is toxic and demanding. And I wish they would stop trying to make Yovana happen. She is thirsty indeed. -
S10.E04: Jamaican Jailbait
luckyroll3 replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
I agree. Jackie's twins looked like they loved the party and all the other kids, with the exception of Jennifer's, were having a blast. I appreciate that Jackie was secure enough to have a normal party for her kids on camera, instead of dropping thousands to show off how much they can go into debt. It's kinda refreshing. Now, where Jackie annoys me is that she won't stop asking about Theresa. I totally agree with her that Tre is a bully and definitely revels in being the Regina George of RHoJ. But Jackie knows Tre doesn't like her, and Jackie clearly doesn't like Tre, so let it be; drop it. Tre ain't never coming around, at least not for another decade (that's about how long it took for her and Beverly to reconnect, right?) or until Jackie decides to kiss her ass. But I get it; she has a ton of trauma from high school and has decided that she will never back down from or let a bully get the better of her again. Good for her. But learn to pick your damn battles. Heh! I caught that too. She's definitely a long time friend of Theresa's. They must have celebrated lots of April Foos together. -
Thanks for sharing that. And that strategy worked because the eliminated contestants vote for the winners when it's down to 2? (Honestly, I haven't watched Big Brother since Season 2, I think, with the "hot", but devious doctor. I think that was season 2. After that, people were too into being reality tv stars.") That seems like a pretty savvy strategy given how dumb Josh is.

S12.E3 The Float Goes On

Cynthia is not overweight in any sense. Yeah, she's put on weight since she was still actively modeling, but she still looks amazing. Not "big" by any means. In her talking heads the past couple episodes (I think she's wearing purple/violet in one and white in the other), she looks absolutely fabulous. She's certainly had some misses in clothing, but I think she's one of the best dressers on the show, along with Eva (and Tanya, who does what Nene and Marlo fail miserably at, wearing labels without looking ridiculous ). I'm still chuckling at Eva taking her 15 dishes to the bar to finish eating when Marlo showed up. -
Tell me more about this. I don't watch Big Brother.

That ending was totally unnecessary but absolutely fabulous!

Basketball Wives LA - General Discussion

For reals. Once she sees all her cash sources drying up, she'll be right back at it. She doesn't know any different. -
I hate to admit it, but that made me chuckle so hard. And I also laughed at how dumb Josh is that he fell for Jordan's trap THREE times in a row! Like dude, after the second one, you should have figured out what he was doing. But oh well. I don't feel bad for him, because he's the one that initiated "the vote your own team in" strategy. You had this one coming, ya big baby. For reals. I was so proud of her for proving that she could do it. Also, she learned how to swim not even a year ago while on The Challenge and looked fairly comfortable doing it. That's pretty damn impressive, especially when people who've been coming to The Challenge for years and know that swimming can be a big equalizer were acting like they were pulling 5x times their body weight (Cara Maria - what in the hell was up with all the grunting?!?!). All that being said, she's a pushover. To be victorious in proving she wasn't the worse swimmer and then swallowing all of Rogan's shit AND also voting with him.... She's certainly nicer than me, because if I was in her shoes, once Rogan became my partner, I would have made sure we both came in last. Fuck proving anything to him; his ass would have been on a flight home since it's obvious the only things he cared about are winning and Joss. Also, Jordan and Tori failed cause they could have easily turned her to their side if they had put more effort into it. And good for CT for forcing Rogan to be her partner. He came up with the plan, he backed out of the plan, and now he wants to put her on someone else? Naw dude, that's all you.

S12.E3 The Float Goes On

Nene: I tried to reach out to Cynthia. I sent her a text and heard nothing back. Me: That doesn't sound like Cynthia. Cynthia: Reads rude, bitchy text from Nene. Me: -
Just wanted to reiterate the Rogan is a dick. I was already not a fan when he basically cried and begged and promised his first born to not get sent into an elimination, and I roll my eyes every single time he does a talking head and tried to make himself seem like a master puppeteer pulling strings in the game when we can see that other folks are the ones who came up with the plan. But to hatch a plan to get rid of Dee and not have the balls to do it himself is some pussy-chicken shit. Also, Dee didn't pass out because she's out of shape, she passed out because she had heat stroke, which can happen to anyone. Rogan, on the other hand, gassed the fuck out on a long-distance run in his first game. He's the bigger liability to the team. Every time Josh starts blabbering about how it's not fair or right that other people on team US are voting for their own, strong team members, I want to throw a shoe at his head. You're the one that started it, dummy; blame yourself. As much as I hate Cara Maria and Paulie, they didn't start that shit. Josh was fine with that strategy when he thought it was getting him in with Johnny, Laurel and the other "cool kids". He didn't anticipate how quickly it would backfire. But now, they're the awful ones and how dare they. Get the fuck outta here Josh. Yes, they're awful, but not because of this. All I could think during the scenes with Kam and LeRoy was "I can see why that relationship didn't work." Wow was she unrelenting and manipulative. I also don't understand why LeRoy was riding so hard for Nani. She's been treating him like shit because he chose to look out for himself. It's not LeRoy's fault she can't ride Johnny's dick to the final.

Teo is Dominican. I was talking about Desmond, just couldn't remember his name. So mean, but so hot.

I don't think I knew that Nany and Jenna are "best friends". Also, shut up Nany!

I finally caught up on all the episodes. What an amazing show. I really enjoyed it. I'm kinda sad there was no update on Seren; hopefully (if there's a season 2), we'll find out more. So glad that David called Seren's mother out on her bullshit. That woman makes me so mad. Her and Gloria's mom; ugh! I was really impressed with the actress who plays Gloria throughout the entire season. Her performance made me break down in tears several times. Teo is scary as hell. I will however miss that fine ass, crazy Jamaican. Why are the cute ones always the bad boys.
