Two Sentence Horror Stories - General Discussion
luckyroll3 replied to AnimeMania's topic in Two Sentence Horror Stories
Even though I didn't think this episode was as well written as the others, I still really enjoyed it. I also teared up at the end when the mom put her love in the stuffy and that was what protected them. -
We only really got commentary from Paulie and Cara Maria, but many other people on the team looked really pissed, especially when he lost. Also, how could I have forgotten this little gem from Rogan to Theo: Dead!

Why are these all over an hour long???? So unnecessary. This is exactly what happened. I thought maybe I was losing my mind, but no, Josh definitely backtracked. This was the other thing that annoyed me. Wes definitely wasn't the only person talking shit about Josh; everyone in that room was. But Laurel's "report" only mentions Wes? Okay girl. Nice way to weaken your team so early in the game because you and Johnny hate that Wes understands its a game and openly plays the game. Same here. Wes is a dick and full of himself, but he also has self awareness and doesn't ever take anything that happens too personally.

Well, she did say that it would be in a department store, not sold by a department store, so......success?

Ashley was really working hard to secure part of that Anderson-Lee trust fund, huh? When she dropped that, "if you don't want to do this, then I don't want to either" line, she totally wasn't expecting Brandon to hit her with the, "well maybe that's for the best." Her whole face cracked when she realized she had overplayed her hand. Also girl, sick burn when you told him he was a great actor and should win a grammy! LMAO! I never trusted her. She seemed way too eager. I'm surprised by how much I really like Brandon. He has a good head on his shoulders. I'm glad he's been able to reconnect with his dad and I love his relationship with his mom.

Rest in Peace Donovan! You were actually one of the decent, somewhat competent ones on that team. Dre has been and will always be a piece of shit. And he did that in front of his kid? He better get his by the end of this series. This show made everyone look inept this episode, more than usual. The district attorney's office, the federal marshals, the bailiffs. Every single one of them failed massively and spectacularly at shit that should be basic to their job functions. If it was my team, everybody would be fired! That was so funny, because it's true. Jamie doesn't know how to be a part of team and he doesn't understand what true leadership looks like. And even when he's asking for help, he's being rude and pissy. Like dude, do you really think Tommy wants to partner with you after you essentially tell him that he's awful at his job? (And after you tried to murder him??) And Jamie had the nerve to be shocked after Tommy turned him down.

Don't forget that it will be in "a" department store in the spring. LMAO!

Anyone else still watching these? I really enjoyed this month's episode, "Pure." There's nothing more unsettling than men claiming to protect their daughters' virtues while cloaking their misogyny in the righteousness of scripture.

Two Sentence Horror Stories - General Discussion

Another great episode. I enjoyed it so much, from the superstitious grandmere to the hipster "we don't discipline our kid" parents. The one thing I would have changed was saving the reveal that the kid was possessed until near the end and having it seem like he was just a rotten kid with no boundaries. That would have left the audience questioning whether grandma was just seeing things and overreacting or was right. But even without that, I still liked it. I'm also very impressed and thankful for the diversity of characters and cultures they've shown throughout all the episodes. Yay for representation! I third this! -
I've never seen Audrina so animated as she was when talking about her fashion line. I didn't know that she could muster up that level of excitement.

Same here! She was great. She made me laugh and at least she had some common sense. -
That explains the almost 2+ minute intro for Melrose Place during the first couple seasons.

As much as I haven't been able to stand Gizelle the past few episodes her, "But what about Kangaroo?" without a second of hesitation when Ashley said she didn't like to use animals for entertainment dropped me dead! Lmao! -
When she walked in the apartment at the end of the episode, I was like, who the hell is this chick? Especially since it was just after I had commented on Jamie pocketing the Angela's shark key chain, which she dropped in the crib and almost had the poor baby choke to death. I'm shocked that Tasha signed a pre-nup to begin with, especially one that stipulated that she would get nothing if she initiated divorce first. He really is one of the few bright lights on this dumbass show. I'm doing a re-watch of Dollhouse, and who should pop up as a preppy psycho but Jason Sikora? She's gonna get everybody killed or land them in prison cause she's an idiot. Ghost is also an idiot. The following exchange had me laughing so hard: Ghost: I killed Tommy. Proctor: Why? But good riddance. Ghost: Don't talk shit about my brother and BFF! Proctor: But you just murdered him, so.......... And why is he going around telling errbody that he killed Tommy??? And I'm not criminal, but shouldn't you try to set up your alibi for a planned crime before you commit said crime? I'm just saying.

I only know this because I recently watched the previous season (after realizing I never actually finished it), but near the end of last season, Joe went to Lance to get Lance to change what he was offering for Joe and Spencer to buy him out of the company. It was still a low ball offer, but Lance said he would drop the entire thing if Joe dropped Spencer and partnered only with him, which supposedly was his original plan since him and Joe were apparently besties (yeah, I don't know). So when Spencer pulled out of the company because of the lawsuit (and also because he wasn't paying any fucking attention to what was happening in the company cause he's a douche and shitty partner), it was a quick and easy solution to Joe's problem and he could move on with the partnership with his BFF, Lance.

I also noticed the creepy font, as well as that the tutorial was being recorded to the "dark web" in the early scenes of the episode. However, I thought the intruder(s) were setting up to torture the blogger live. I loved the multiple twists. And the blogger was cracking me up with all the tutorial-speak; all the shit I roll my eyes at when I see tutorials online. This was a good blend of humor and creepy. -
The actor who plays Seren sure did grow quite a few inches since the premiere. Both of the boys are pretty impressive actors for their age. The scenes with David at the counselors office are amazing. Poor Seren. That kid has a rough life. I'm glad that he and David made up, because they seem like they have a good relationship and they need each other. Also loving Marissa. She's adorable. It definitely got a little dusty in my living room during David's project presentation.

This is exactly why I enjoy Wes. Johnny is, and always has been, a big ole hypocrite. Man, Rogan is a little shit. He couldn't even keep his mouth shut about his alliance for longer than day. I would have thrown his ass in because he's already shown he can't be trusted.

This made me laugh so hard:

I wasn't too jazzed that there was a spin-off to begin with, but if this is actually the case, I definitely won't be tuning in for it. That is unless the entire show is about

She's regretting that shit though. Those are some real tears every time someone tries to fight her or calls her names. I bet she thought she could handle all that. But also, these chicks are desperate. Are they hoping to share A1's pearls? -
I wish I had more likes to give this. I want to reach through the screen to strangle him every time he's on.

Yikes. That sucks! However, if Jordan can be a bad ass competitor with his abilities, then so potentially could Theo. The only difference is Jordan has had a lifetime of experience with figuring out how to accommodate and adjust. Theo should seriously consider how he can still leverage this opportunity to continue making money, especially if some of his other prospects (like the Olympic or some professional sport) might be less likely. And I bet that even with one eye he'd still be a better competitor than half of these folks.

Thanks for the recap @sjankis630. I thought that maybe I just wasn't paying attention (cause this show is real dumb and I usually multitask when it is on) and I missed it, but was there really no follow-up to the lawsuit? Or to the kid choosing USC over Ohio State. I'm not really surprised because this show likes to forget story lines all the time.... That' was his gf from the first 2 seasons. She's a TV reporter or something like that.

S04.E16: Trouble in Paradise
luckyroll3 replied to OnceSane's topic in The Real Housewives Of Potomac
I wasn't paying attention until y'all mentioned it, but every part of her makeup in the talking head is off. Ashley may be a pain in the ass, but she knows how to give an apology (unlike Candiace). Her apology to Katie was very nice. Katie looks awful and even more out of it. She's either sick or, sad to say, detoxing. Me when Giselle said that was the old her at Robyn's open house: Have we ever seen the new Giselle? Where she at??
