Loved that the one boy was taking notes as Mr. Johnson talked about the lizard people! The kid who handed her the book gave her the "don't even act like you don't know why I gave you this" look. So great! Actually all of the kids in Janine's class were on point with the acting.

Same! He's the only one in the next cast that I enjoyed. I also really like Isadora, but really annoyed with the trope of having to put the strong, confident woman character in her place by having her assaulted. The rest of the cast, especially the siblings, can go. So obnoxious that they all conveniently got held back to be around for another semester.

All American: Homecoming - General Discussion

Me shouting at the TV: "When in the hell were *they* friends?!?!?!" -
I laughed so hard when the date said she loved playing volleyball, then pitched ESP a few minutes later!

I'm on JJ's side in all of this. Asher has been so fucking obnoxious every episode!! Especially with constantly trying to put JJ in his place and purposefully recruiting players in JJ's position to prove his point. Yes, we get it. You're a "student coach", whatever that means. He keeps hounding JJ about responsibilities, but I have yet to see Asher go to a class or do homework or anything related to being an actual student. Also, JJ is an 18 year old in his first year of college. AND it's the off season. He's allowed to live his life. I will say throwing lots of parties at the house is probably a bit much, and the comment he made about about Layla was rude as hell, but them acting like he's just so different and how dare he not mature into a 30 year old like us in the first semester of college is eye-roll inducing. I'll just go sit over here by myself!

All American: Homecoming - General Discussion

You can watch on the CW app/website. They don't require any log-ins. I really can't stand Simone, so I could care less about most of her storylines (although I did enjoy bad bitch Simone, because she wasn't so damn needy). But hey, she got to one-up the mean girl from her team again. I need more Nate! So glad she got rid of Nico. Nico is happy to be with her, as long as she knows her place, keeps her mouth shut, and doesn't upstage him. The worst kind of partner. And again, no way Keisha would miss checking in with Nate. It sucks that they have to have episodes without some of the actors, but they can at least do things that would help be consistent with the characterization. It wouldn't have been hard to have a scene with Nate texting Keisha about the breakup, or even someone in the group messaging Keisha to reach out to Nate. -
I also was trying to figure out how they were "communicating" with Keith. It definitely was not morse code. They were just waving the phone flashlight around. At one point it looked like they were maybe drawing letters, but IDK. I'm sure Keith in all of his brilliance devised a new secret code for them to use. That scene was very interesting. Why would she be so worried about Camila's testimony if according to her [Nicki] Keith has done nothing wrong. It was also pretty telling that for all the innocence she kept proclaiming for him and DOS that she was very wary about dealing with the prosecutors cause she had to protect herself. I personally am still shocked that she wasn't charged with anything as she was right in the thick of it with Alison, Lauren, and other others. And her shock when her lawyers dropped her for not listening to them. Lol! Sweetie, your lawyer's job is to keep you out of jail; when you keep doing stuff that make it more likely that you will end up in jail, they cut you as a client. She's a completely fucking mess. Me during all of Nancy's crying/sobbing scenes: I think Nancy is so full of shit! All of this!!!! She knew what was going on, she just didn't care. Like the judge said, she was all too happy to be second in command. The older blonde who was also a former NXIVM member said something similar as well, that Nancy's position gave her the adoration and power she craved and Keith was counting on that. She also contradicted herself because earlier in the season she said she didn't know about any of the sex stuff or that Lauren was involved with Keith. This episode, she revealed that she knew about both! And she only cared about having to deal with the sex stuff once she realized that Lauren was one of the women. How that wasn't a turning point for her is beyond concerning. And her challenging the therapist's explanation that the curriculum was built to help facilitate all the other shit was mind boggling. Every single part of that curriculum is designed intentionally to get people to ignore crossed boundaries and to ignore their inner voice telling them to get the fuck out. And she herself told us that Keith dictated every single lesson in the curriculum to her AND made her practice the delivery. That makes all of it suspect. She's desperately trying to save her credibility, but that shit's long gone. I'm sad they didn't talk more about the actual RICO charges. I wanted to know about the hidden cash in shoe boxes and wire fraud and all of that stuff.

Every damn year. And it keeps getting worse. Someone has to go in, but as long as it's rookie or someone who isn't in their alliance, they don't care. When they start talking about how they "deserve" to be in the final or they "deserve" to win, I want to throw something at the TV. Particularly Nany, who doesn't do anything every single season except hook up or find someone whose coattails she can ride or get protection from by being in their alliance. You don't deserve to be anywhere near a final Nany!!!!!! And her whole attitude toward Michelle for throwing her and her awful girlfriend in was such shit. Especially when she told Michelle that she needed to just deal with going into the elimination because it's "not personal". I was waiting for Michelle to throw that back in her face, but Michelle cares more about the mean girls liking her than sticking up for herself. Overall Jay and Michelle don't make good choices. Last week's elimination group was mind boggling, to the say the least. And while the group they threw in this week was great (and is who should be thrown in every week in my opinion, including Devin and Tori), they should have selected Nani and Johnny or Kaycee and Kenny as their final picks. They just aren't as strategic as they think they are. And even with all that, I hope they keep winning just so they can continue pissing off and putting the fear of God into these Vets, because as badass as they all like to act like they are, they're all afraid of going into an elimination except for Jordan.

S11.E10: Requiem 1981/1987 - Part Two
luckyroll3 replied to AnimeMania's topic in American Horror Story
In one of her recordings she said that she inseminated herself with Adam's sperm using a turkey baster and that helped her to determine that the disease was most likely sexually transmitted. This season was not for me. I prefer my horror a little less real. But damn if I didn't cry through this whole season and sob my way through these last 2 episodes. I was regretting watching this before work this morning. Really heartbreaking and powerful. -
As a scientist I was hurt that the science teacher kept saying that science wasn't fun! And as a long-time informal science educator, I have definitely done the egg drop activity with students as young as pre-school AND taught them some of the basic concepts involved (gravity, force, opposite reactions, shock absorption). We may not have explicitly said all those terms, but they were able to design things with the end goal of protecting the eggs. So that whole thing rubbed me the wrong way, although I was laughing the entire episode. She was saying that engraving on the piece was great quality.

Yes, supposedly that's what Lauren told her mom. But I also call BS!

I just hope he's in gen pop with a very surly roommate....

Keith's lawyer!!!!! I just want to kick him in the shins every time he's on screen. I know that everyone deserves a defense and that is his job, but from the interviews he's done post the trial, he seems to really believe the defense he came up with for Keith. It's one thing to sell it in the courtroom and to the media while the trial is ongoing. But for him to still be pushing the narrative that nothing Keith did was wrong, he's just a weirdo is beyond for me. This!!! He hates women and wants to punish them through control. Same with taking Daniella to a dilapidated place to have her first sexual experience on a mattress on the floor with dirty sheets. So gross.

Oh, this episode was hard to watch. Such a smart, brilliant CHILD, who lost some of her important transitional developmental years to this fucking man and company. Her and her sisters. And her parents!!!! WTF. And I was already on the fence about Lauren last week, but solidly believed that most of her testimony was BS. But after this episode, there's no doubt in my mind that she's a straight a piece of shit. Her along with Alison and Nicki. Speaking of, very limited info on Alison this season. Maybe as the get into the formation of DOS they speak on her involvement more.

Not eye cream specifically, but Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask can be used around the eye area. I use it as a full face nighttime moisturizer.

Love, love, love that this show is getting recognition. AND I'm still mad it was cancelled. <side eye to Netflix>

Love that Isabelle had Marc's number and directly called him on his "maybe you should consider the people you trust are lying to you" bullshit. Marc doesn't seem to care about anything happening in the company outside of treating Tourrette's. "Keith is branding women? Who cares, I'm healing Tourrette's!" "Oh they found bodies in the backyard? So what, we're curing Tourrette's." He sounds like an idiot. Did Isabelle ever say how she found out about DOS? I fully admit that I'm usually multitasking when this is one, so I may have missed it. Very interested in hearing Lauren's testimony and how it compares to Allison's.

Real Girlfriends In Paris - General Discussion
luckyroll3 replied to heatherchandler's topic in Real Girlfriends In Paris
It sounded like there were 10+ outfits, but they were only able to fix the 6-7 that were showcased between the samples getting screwed up and her awful boss continuously asking for changes up until the models started to walk. I liked the designs. They certainly weren't high fashion, but they were cute (not sure what the aesthetic of the company is supposed to be) and shows Victoria actually has decent talent. -
Anyone else see this mess of a premiere? Juliette and her business partner's interactions with the PR company were so cringe worthy. They hadn't done anything to set themselves up for success. And I'm wondering what advice her "mentor" gave her with regards to the event. Not a good luck at all. And Juliette was also protesting too much about how happy she is to not be with Sam anymore. Except for the fact that she now has to pay all her own bills and she couldn't get Sam to actually invest in her business like he did with Jordana. Speaking of, why is Sam buying her a BBL and why is she accepting it. I get that dropping $25k on a friend is like on of us poor folk offering to pay for a nice dinner to treat our friend, but holy shit. I think voluntary cosmetic surgery is where the line should be drawn. And oh look, Chloe is starting up another feud with someone else. What happened to zen, centered, "I'm a changed person" Chloe??? Oh right, that was just to build her social media subscription business. It's very interesting how some folks as explicitely discussion being on the show and the impacts of that (like with Clark not wanting to film - how dare he date Juliette then!) vs the new girl avoiding the fact that she's on the show getting exposure when her dad asked why she wants to work with Brandon. It was super weird.

All American: Homecoming - General Discussion
luckyroll3 replied to paulvdb's topic in All American: Homecoming
This show always goes straight to the extremes. There was no reason for Amara to cancel family dinners. It's for her family, actual and chosen. If she wanted to address that tweet, she could just create a monthly Bringston Family Dinner for the school community. It could be rotated through different places on campus (dorms, Student Union, greek houses, the quad) and catered by the school, giving students informal access to her.
