I find it hilarious that Netflix has The Player's Club categorized as a "dance movie". People looking for something similar to Step Up, Save the Last Dance, or Center Stage will be in for a surprise!

S01.E01: The United States of Challenge
luckyroll3 replied to peachmangosteen's topic in The Challenge: USA
Forgot to add that I bet man-baby Josh is off somewhere crying that he wasn't selected for this one too. -
For real. But I guess if Charlie could be a professor AND a dean But why is Zoe still there? What happened to NYC and the business? I wished the show would have followed her there and showed her navigating the real world after college and little to no parent support, especially from the other side of the country.

S01.E01: The United States of Challenge

I agree. The amount to qualify should be much higher, like $15K-25k. That would mean someone who's consistently winning dailies and/or eliminations would earn qualifications. There's no suspense if every single team who wins a daily qualifies. I'm still on the fence with this show. I don't know any of these people, because the only reality competition shows I watch are the OG Challenge and Drag Race, but wanted to give it a chance. And of course support TJ. But all these Big Brother and Survivor people make me itch. I may give it one or two more episodes. -
Me yelling at the TV when I saw him: Hot guy from Switched at Birth! Wish someone would pay him to take me on a date.....

I was so excited to see all this grown woman apologizing, accountability expectations, and boundary setting happening on this show. I should have known that it wouldn't last long. I even teared up a bit during Malaysia and Brandi's moment. And I loved Jackie showing some authentic vulnerability for once, Angel bringing her issue directly to Nia (or whatever her name is), and Duffy straight up saying your apology is BS because you're trying to shift accountability and I don't want you or your energy at my event. But for whatever reason these girls just aren't getting it. And it's so ironic when they're calling the other ladies "high school", when they're the ones acting like children. "They're being mean to me because they want me to apologize." Like what? I can't even imagine what would have happened if some of the other ladies were still on the show, because they are actually mean and clique-ish. And Duffy is right; if you think we're shitty, this is my event for my birthday and you don't need to be here. She's nicer to me because I would have told them to be gone at the dinner once they dragged her into their shit. -
The trailer dropped this morning:

Between Rome and Derek I was ready to climb through the damn TV. Oooh that entire scene. When Woody said, "How you want to be buried?" I was like: Yes. There's definitely something not right going on there. And fits in with the stepmom talking about how men who want Barbies always manage to find a new one to "play" with. She knows something is up - either that her husband is cheating or that he's abusing her daughter - but is ignoring it to maintain her lifestyle.
-
She was choking on something alright! And then the nerve of this woman to ask her husband where his mask at! Lol! I did the same thing! That being said, I loved that entire scene. It was vulnerable, intimate, and beautiful. This entire episode was gold for me. I laughed, I cried, I clutched my chest and everything in between. I'm still chuckling at how the health inspector was mesmerized and in a trance by the White Walker up until she got sneezed on (sooooooo gross!). She should have kept her damn mask on! Lol!

I really didn't need to see Johnny....or his ass. I can't stand Nehemiah. He is all talk. Now his new thing is him not ever winning or being in the top 3 was by design. Boy please! It was because you sucked at all of the challenges so far. I usually rally behind Wes, but in this instance, I'm really hoping that Derrick fucks Nehemiah up, despite the size difference. I've also been over Kailah. She just doesn't even know what to do with herself now that her mean girl posse is gone. I really would have loved to see Nia toss her around like a rag doll during this elimination.

Woah! That's a completely different person!

Same here. I don't think the Mayor fully understands the wickedness he's dealing with and she's about to tear his ass up! But I'm kinda hoping for a MAD - mutually assured destruction - between the two of them so that they end up canceling each other out. Listen. I had to go get a cold drink of water after that Mercedes experience! And I'm really enjoying the relationship they're building between Mercedes and the wife, from the very realistic snub she gave Mercedes to Mercedes championing her photography even as the husband dismisses it as a hobby, to the wife being in awe at the performance. Can't wait to see if this turns into a real friendship and what that means for the Coach. Roulette doesn't care for none of Uncle Clifford's rule. And she must have some great eye sight to see that those bottles that fell out of the boxes were oxy.
-
It kinda rings true for me. She not quite "yellow" but she's lighter than the rest of them, except for Whisper (who I think looks like a whyte walker with those eyes) and Uncle Clifford's school friend who looks like a tanned Howdy Doody (can't remember his name, but he's always talking about his daddy, his brothers, and the casino).

Zola is a mess....that I enjoyed thoroughly! Definitely P-Valley adjacent. It's actually based on one of the first viral tweet threads (twitter threads? I never know the right terminology.).

He didn't even change from the outfit he performed in. What does he think he this is? The Voice?
-
@rollacoaster: The only thing I disagree with is that I really loved all the judges' looks this season, every episode.

Damn, I reached my free New York article for the month and can't read it! Can someone summarize?

S13.E06: Don't Be Sea Salty

All of this!!!!! And Marlo is a whole ass Sugar Baby (I don't know the name for them when they become old too!). She can't be slut shaming no one out here! And I don't understand why they're going in on Kenya. Despite the beat she had, she sounded and looked sick when she called Marlo and still sounded sick at Sanya's event. I kinda feel like Marlo is just doing stuff to make sure she keeps her peach and Sheree needs a new mean girl to follow. I wouldn't be shocked if she told the person to only ring up one item and place it in a large bag with lots of extra tissue. I do know Sheree does not have money for $12k of anything. -

Why is Jackie talking about issues Angel has with her boyfriend in front of said boyfriend? That was supposed to be a conversation between just her and Angel.....and the cameras. And here Rocc go telling Angel she can't be friends with unmarried women....but she's an unmarried woman because you keep buying her promise rings. -
It certainly would have been interesting to hear her try to rationalize that moment.

I covered my eyes when Mercedes fell off the pole. That happened to a very popular stripper in Miami (so popular many rappers and singers name dropped her in their songs) and she broke her neck. Surprised that Mercedes didn't have anything worse happen to her. Speaking of, I had to cover my eyes again during Diamond's root work. Creeeeeeepy! I'm really liking the 2 new strippers. Between them buying Mercedes bottles of green rubbing alcohol and talking to the spirits in the VIP room, they're entertaining. Keyshawn need to stop playing with that man. He's gonna end up killing her and her kids.
