Echoing everyone's thoughts @BooksRule. So sorry about Alice~ My previous three kitkats also spent an inordinate amount of time with me in the weeks/months preceding their passing. I am sadly noticing this with my Pearl. No Pearl. It's not time. 😔

Since I appear terminally unable to locate thrads or forums on this site (or even a proper search for same), I'm going to post this here. Perhaps a kind member can direct me to the proper place. Well, mine wouldn't have a door, so I can see some confusion there, but for me I love it because it enables the kitties to have their own play space which might (in my dream) contain the mess and hair etc, but I still get to observe them while they play. I will miss my kitty/s horribly when Pearl is gone as I doubt I'll have another, but I will.not.miss.that.fugly.cat.tower. that is in our main living space.

Will someone please dial up a vocal coach for Prajje and Korto, so I don't have to hear that bone buzzing vocal fry any longer? K thanks.

I have a bottle in the cupboard, but don't use it much. You're right, a little goes a loooong way with it, lol. I actually prefer adding a bit of smoked salt (when appropriate) to impart the smokiness.

I must be the only person left who enjoys Hard Knocks.

Yes, I can see how they might trend to 'too sweet', but that can be mitigated somewhat. I don't fool with ribs on a grill etc., as I don't need the toughish bark to be happy. I simply dry rub, then wrap tightly with foil, and bake in a low, 300f oven for about 3 hrs, unwrap (after carefully draining grease), sauce if desired, and bake another 30 mins. Fall off the bone, but no tough, sticky bark. It's an Emeril recipe that I've been making for about 15 years.

Tonight was patty melts and tossed salad. Pretty good if I say so myself.

A Case Of The Mondays: Vent Your Work Spleen Here

I spent 4+ years working in retail as a part-time recession hedge from '08 to '13, and let me tell you, avoiding full-time direct labor is their jam; their purpose for existing. Retailers (large, conglomerate ones anyway) are bottom feeders. It's not you @Wiendish Fitch, it's the business plan. Pay.no.benefits.ever! That's it, that's the post. -
I am so down for trying this. I don't have a smoker, but don't know why you couldn't use the idea for however you cook ribs. I bake mine, and they are also wrapped in foil, so it just might work. Appl Pie Baby Back Ribs facebook.com/reel

What we're seeing when the designer's ignore advice, is the reality that these are people who are established in a job or business already (remember that they're "all stars"), and imo, are only here for marketing, public relations, and exposure for their line. If they happen to pick up some swag & cash in the process, more's the better. It's why I'm not as much a fan of the All Stars version of this show.

It was my experience wrt doctor's notes, that they were only required if an absence due to illness stretched to three days or more. Frankly, if you hav to miss three days+ of work from an illness, you probably have or should have been to the doctor anyway. To me, it's a clear attempt at discouraging folks from taking unauthorized time off, which places undue burden on everyone. And yes, that happens all the time, whether felons or simply unindicted co-conspirators. 😉 -
Yes, he said that a couple of times didn't he? Wonder if he had been ill?

This was very reminiscent of that awful Heidi Klum/Tim Gunn show on Amazon. They were constantly doing the runway shows in the evening or at night, no matter the weather or lighting conditions. It was dumb. Often, we couldn't really even see the designs.* *Lightbulb moment - Maybe this was intentional, as I can't recall anything of note coming out of that mess of a show.

Same. Also didn't quite get the Defcon 4 gushing over Rami's, though I will acknowledge that it was genrally lovely, albeit a bit plain? Mimi.can.model!
