She has grown on me. She sort of bugged me early on, before she got her legs under her, I thought she was trying too hard. She is hands down better than Brook Burke or *gasp* Leah Remini. I don't remember the first woman's name, but I didn't mind her either.

Someone needs to explain to me why the audience vote model hasn't been pushed out to sea on a flaming boat? I have only voted a couple of times ever, on any contest show, and I would rather see the contestant judged by informed folk based on skill, not popularity. It would have been a straight up tragedy if David Ross would have won last year, and I'm a huge Cubs/DR fan.

I found the production values very distracting during this dance, and along with his shoes being the same color as his slacks, seemed to almost camouflage his movements.

I thought the camera work during the trios in general was very poor. During the Ballas trio, he was totally featured IMO. The black tape - it's really hard to believe this was anything but an attempt at garnering sympathy. Flesh toned tape would have been expected, but gee, maybe 6 or 7 people wouldn't notice it that way. If I never see the Carlton again, I can die happy.

See, this is what I thought too. I'm a lay person when it comes to dance, but I don't understand the value/benefit of this dance. The pros and past winners are in most cases going to out dance the current 'star', right? The Mark Ballas trio (see what I did there?) was the exception...he was the standout IMO. It was a lovely, lovely dance. Of course, the Jordan/Corbin/Lindsay trio was the ultimate. Still don't like the concept.

I am a midwestern potty mouth. It doesn't always go over, and I don't always judge my audience properly, but it is who I am and those close to me aren't even affected by it any more.
