It’s like the “real life” characters they are playing are close enough to the 90210 counterparts. Their plots (stalkers, etc.) could have been plots on the show. So it really is like watching the show. The scene between Jason and Gabrielle really brought it home to me.

It struck some more serious notes this time but the cast has so much chemistry together. I am really enjoying this.

The ninth obstacle was Cane Lane.

Oh I thought I was the only one who could see the obvious work Ian had done. I’m not saying he looks bad but his work is obvious and I wasn’t as blown away by his look as others were.
-
I’m actually a little surprised about some of the negative reactions. I was certain everyone would think it was as funny as I did. Oh well. I saw a picture of Tori and Jennie at a premiere and Jennie’s face looked awkward and frozen. But on the show she looks great. I guess sometimes work can look much better in motion than frozen in a picture. The evils of photography rear their ugly head. As for Tori, I don’t know what to say. I guess she looked marginally better in motion but I feel so sad for her that she obviously hates her own face so much. She of course has growing up in the public eye (and her own mother!) to thank for that.

I loved this. I can’t wait for next week.

S11.E10: Seattle/Tacoma City Finals

Yes. And then I would hope they’d eventually phase the top two women out. -
Obstacles: Wait, Where Are The Big Balls?

They should toss in a slack line obstacle for balance. It wouldn’t give anyone a concussion but it would sure test balance. -

What a boring Power Tower. I know speed is the rules but Graff got farther than anyone on the course and for her not to get a chance at the Power Tower is annoying. And I’m sure he was checked out but that ninja who got bonked with the handle should be evaluated for a concussion. He should not have been running the Power Tower. -
S11.E09: Oklahoma City City Finals

Yikes, that article really makes it sound like she was badly injured. Concussions are serious but she needs speech therapy to regain cognitive skills? Wow. Im pretty sure she’s not the only one who has gotten a concussion on those courses. The crazier they get, the more dangerous they get. -

The Kid beats Gil for the safety pass. I didn’t see that coming. -

The Lizard just doesn’t know when to quit. He had a nice pass straight to Vegas and instead he ended up with possibly a concussion. -

Give me a goofy story like Skyping your cat over the serious medical-based ones any day. As a hypochondriac, the show can be unwatchable at times. -
I don’t know, I thought it was majorly unrealistic how people kept getting up and staggering on at the end of some serious beat downs.
-
I don’t know if they will make another (they really didn’t need to make this one even though I enjoyed it) but I can’t help thinking the absolute best ending for Woody is to somehow end up back with Andy, as a toy for Andy’s child.

James is really a funny guy. The guys on the broadcast clearly love him.
-
Welp, bye Emma. Still a nice little group of wins.
-
The first two contestant stories were absolutely delightful. Emma’s anecdote wasn’t bad but she needs to add Boston to her list.
-
I can’t figure out what personality Emma radiates that would make anyone even be moved to have a favorable opinion of her. Maybe because she wrote her thesis on Jeopardy. That’s pretty quirky and cool. But other than that she has zero charisma.

James is absolutely hilarious.

I agree. I’d also add that Alex had just announced his terrible diagnosis. I don’t care how annoyed you were, he gets a pass. And he wasn’t even rude, as you pointed out.

Trying to warm up to Emma. It’s not going well. The toast I had at breakfast was more compelling. Oh well.
-
Is she the first to take down a long running contestant and then win the next game?
-
If James seemed subdued or sad it was probably a combo of being tired and also shock at Alex’s diagnosis, which had just been announced. I know I was so sad and stunned at the announcement and Lots of other people were as well. But he actually played pretty well. He just didn’t get the last two daily doubles and that sunk him (obviously combined with the fact that Emma answered them correctly.) He didn’t throw anything and it makes no sense whatsoever that he’d ever consider that.
