I've only watched the last episode once but it struck me as being kinda odd that Dean wasn't more panicked that he'd landed in the Lost World and not in mom's torture chamber as expected. I don't follow spoilers but I was under the impression the AU was being kept as the focus for the WS series - kind of Sunnydale Hellmouth sort of thing? And that Supernatural would move on. I don't want crossovers. I want it simple again. It's enough we've got Luci, Michael, Rowena, Jack, Ketch... not to mention the weekly MOTWs. We don't need the complicated AU thrown in.

I think we all have to remember that hair is a CRITICAL component in the success of a TV series. Receding hairlines would have led to cancellation no matter how brilliant the acting. I'm not kidding!

For such a provocative and charismatic actor - Jensen doesn't seem to have much luck when it comes to love interests on the show. Anna, Jo, Lisa, Cassie.... all fell flat for me. Maybe it was the actress or the writing or even my own jealousy, I don't know. But sexual tension always seems missing, except maybe with Pamela who I could visualize having a wild romp with Dean - but they chose not to go there. Dean does click with some women but it's often a miscellaneous guest star, the female psychiatrist in Sam Interrupted for instance or even Ann Marie (of Demon Dean fame) Scripts should stick to flirting and one night stands for Dean. He only has three real loves...Sam, Baby and Hunting.

I'm loving Black Mirror. Really makes you think. TV in the UK is NEVER afraid to go there.

Wow - just discovered this series! It's so mind wobbling, it's now impossible for me to watch predictable American network drama procedurals ever again. :(

I haven't watched all the episodes - but the biggest mystery for me is the enablers. The obese person cannot get out of bed, so you bring him/her a salad and go to the movies while they yell and scream for hamburgers (also confiscate their cell so they can't order in). I think it was the Ow My Layygs episode where the wife (or whatever) brings him a giant plate of fat and salt, then asks if he wants a second helping, then plops down half a cake on his chest for dessert. And he's supposed to be on a 1200 calorie a day diet!!!!! This is not love.

Great that they're sharing all these R&R photos with us... (they both must hate shaving as beards are same length LOL) When do they return to Vancouver to start filming?

I really started to appreciate how good Jim Beaver is during the scene where Sam lays dying. The world is in trouble (or something) and Bobby pleads with Dean to leave with him. Dean shoves him away and yells GO! The look on Bobby's face - so much pain for Dean. Both actors at the top of their game.

Supernatural has received lots of exposure and front pages this past year. The boys have been invited on Conan and the Kathy Show (or whatever it's called). It's about flipping time!!!

I know. Kathryn plays Claire again. Morose rebel teen. (OT - what a weird movie?)

I've had Crazy Love (Jensen and Jason version) running through my head all morning. Life is good. :)

They definitely chickened out when it came to Demon Dean. The CW kept promoting "Year of the Deanmon". We got three measly weeks of karaoke and beer. Still, there were some shivery dark moments with Dean. Jensen is kinda brilliant when it comes to portraying scary. Those pretty green eyes can turn dark and threatening in a flash. And teen Jack will probably remain beige (love that description) now that he's been accepted into fandom. It's a shame.

I've just watched Folsom Prison Blues... What a great episode!

Alcoholics seem to be the majority on this death list. It's interesting watching this show - the Canadian versions are not as slick as the American (IMO) and we often don't get a full story or follow up. And the Canadian interventionists (or whatever they're called) seem more laid back . The addicts I think won't make it often do.... and vice versa. It's interesting.

Not only the poor quality fast food, but living in that tiny cramped motel room. I doubt Nicole takes May out to the park or for walks or whatever. Too much time devoted to sleeping, eating and texting "daddy". If Nicole didn't look so much like her mom, I'd suggest she's adopted. Her brother and sister appear well adjusted and normal.

What happened to the Peoples' Choice Awards this year? Didn't they have it, or was Supernatural and its actors ignored? I've seen nothing. I used to spend all of November voting like a maniac. The PCAs usually start off the awards season.

Totally agree with this ^. We don't need paint by numbers bad guys twirling away at those mustaches. They can still be complex and bad. I liked both Megs too, but Rachel wins if there's a contest. I loved when she showed up at the end with long blond hair. A lot of shit happened but when Dean comes across her his first words are... "What's with the hair?" I thought that was So Dean!

She really lost out in that gene pool. She'd benefit from less eye make up and that constant nasty smirk on her face. I was very fortunate to have supportive, caring parents but I can appreciate her pain. She needs to get over it, tho and get on with her life. We only get one chance at a life. Might as well try to enjoy it. The son looks (and acts) nothing like him,tho.

I'm just rewatching the early seasons on Netflix right now. So much canon has been trampled over the years, it can be frustrating to watch. But I honestly had forgotten how good this show used to be. And our boys knew how to fight back then.... plus their research seemed more indepth and clever. I also had forgotten that Dean said 'my car'. When did he start calling her Baby? I thought it was from the beginning, obviously not.

This made me laugh out loud! And they spend too much budget and time on the boring slow-mo slamming people into objects while Jack holds his arm out like he's hailing a cab. I'd hope for less special effects and more complex and unpredictable Jack next year. Not even Demon Dean.

Too may big bads IMO. KFC guy, AU Michael, Lucifer, Ketch, plus the weekly MOTWs - and none of them particularly big or bad unless writers step off the usual safe path. It was all much simpler in the beginning. I wonder if Mary will join up with the Waywards?
