I really hope next season is not about souls - or glowy grace being passed about. Or even angels and their never ending issues. I'm hoping we get back to basics with an intelligent and malevolent Big Bad who's never been seen or mentioned before and who remains bad throughout the season and not redeemed into a cinnamon roll. I hope whatever Dean's story is - that it lasts a few episodes into next season. Lots of hoping going on...

I think the Powers have held out a bit too long with the will he or won't he tell her. Other happenings/characters are stealing the show and Chloe is getting lost. The writers need to give Chloe a personality boost, especially when it comes to a sense of humour. Because I really cannot believe a man like Lucifer would be the least bit interested. Nothing against the actress. It's the writing of the character that's at fault here. Just my opinion...

This is my discontent with Dabb. The plot skims along, like stones bouncing on a lake. We never get deep. There's no time for emotion, impact or consequence because the focus is getting from A to B, getting your characters in line for the next big plot wallop. Sam dies covered in blood. Commercial. He's saved!! Yippee!! Never expected that! Duh! Thank goodness we have decent actors or this series would be buried in shock & awe mire.

I don't usually read this thread... probably it's best that I don't. Because I agree with @gonzosgirrl. I don't know how anyone could watch this harrowing episode and find it a waste of time. But we all see things differently I guess. If only recent episodes could deliver this level of emotional clout. Sigh.

Should be called what it truly is - PLOT GRACE. I had no complaints about lighting or whatever in the tunnel. My complaints lie with the editing department in term of the tunnel scenes.

Well, maybe over the summer hiatus Phil could come up with some new sayings other than putting verbs in my sentences and this ain't my first rodeo. That, at lease, could liven things up. Right now - no matter how dire the issue.... Dr. Phil is predictable and a bore. Surely we'll get a good old fashioned catfish story during May Sweeps?

Like any good horror movie, the characters must do stupid things in order to build suspense for the audience. But having June play with marbles of all things and twitching at curtains and pulling apart hidden religious stuff that's none of her business, - plus when she was walking with the other econowives (or whatever). The other women walked quickly, eyes down. June is meandering along turning to look behind. If I'd been a guard I'd have zeroed in on her - she stood out like a sore thumb. But I guess it must all be done for suspense. Surely an airfield would be guarded 24/7? And electricity counts at an abandoned building? No tracking of women on the train? - could be anyone in a knitted cap - tattoos for the varying levels of society would make more sense than coloured clothing, but I guess that wasn't in the novel? And, like everyone else, I'm left wondering where these women were going in evening time - unless they were all heading home (from where, tho?) I am enjoying the show. It would add to my enjoyment if we were more privy as to how this oppression began - little by little apparently ? (I haven't read the book) but that part of the story is fascinating. I live in Canada. Refugees from the US seeking asylum are crossing the border to Canada in unprecedented numbers as we speak.

I'm hoping for a sword fight with heavy medieval sword... oh, and wings. Our Michael (Dean) versus AU Michael (miscellaneous guy we hardly know) for a big breathtaking battle at the end.

I'd be more understanding and sympathetic if the writing and acting were there. Because I can relate to how she must have felt being jammed back into life on earth with two grown up sons she'd never met. It was an opportunity to explore and get to know the Mary character and provide insight to this unusual circumstance. (Buffy did such a better job with this scenario). But no. She was distant and cold from the get go. She took off right away. We weren't privy to reasons why or feelings - we would've understood if we had been. It seemed like she could not get away from them fast enough. Ok ok I realize Sam's not a regular and can only appear in a certain number of episodes - but they handled it all wrong. No affection or even interest in her boys. Where they'd been, what they'd done. She'd have been PROUD if she had taken the time to get to know them. (She could've said she needed time to sort things and would stay with Jody for a few weeks.....) And then on top of everything it seems she's always been this super hunter mom who left baby Dean to go hunt in Canada. Who never protected her family even though she had the skills and knowledge of supernatural and knew that something bad was coming down the line. TPTB got wind of fans' disgust... tweets saying She Can Die Now. So they're backtracking and she's all .... my boys my boys, oh where are my boys. Naw - it's too late for me. She can stay in the AU and sleep with the likes of Ketch on black satin sheets. My heart aches for Dean. My heart aches for myself. I like to rewatch old episodes and they're kinda spoiled now.

According to tweets there were a lot of 'show' questions at the J2 Panel today. Hope there's videos....

Luci, Jack, saving Mother, Gabe, AU, heaven being short on angels, etc.... all of it means nada to me. But who or what or how Dean "steps up" has me hanging on with excitement. More excitement than I've felt for ages. Please don't let me down, show!

I think the idea of questions from the audiences - maybe in the final segment is an interesting idea. But Phil likes to control everything, so I'm thinking any questions from audience members would have be vetted and approved. But the show needs a shot in the arm and a new format. The most irritating for me are the initial shots of guests walking along the street, staring into space, etc., while Phil informs the audience of today's issue. These staged shots are shown over and over and over and over again!! Then more time is wasted with sentences blown up on a big blue screen and we have to listen while Phil reads through them. The actual meat of an issue only really gets about 15 minutes. And even more time is wasted with face cream promos. So many follow up questions Phil never asks. He never really cracks the surface of anything. Has anyone ever tried the Doctor on Demand ap?

But wouldn't Luci have found his own way there anyway? He could've gone in any direction when he went through the rift but he found Sam in the tunnel right away. It's all so stupid anyway. They missed the boat with this AU they're giving us. I know it's probably cheap to film in the woods and filter the camera but couldn't they have come up with a more interesting story than this TWD copycat? I was hoping for characters from early seasons showing up and they're different because of circumstance. It would've made for some interesting character reactions and I'm sure these actors always want gigs. OK, we got Charlie, but she's still a 1-dimensional Mary Sue. What about all the others the brothers have met during the past 13 yrs? Where are they? Does AU Ash exist? Maybe a new hairstyle - party at the front, business at the back?

Surely the children's mother who's put her life back in order would win back her children if she went to court? I missed parts of the episode - who was the guy? Her boyfriend? He was making sense anyway. I got the impression the sister wanted 'thank yous' lavished on her for what she had done, and no one was showing her the gratitude she wanted or thought she deserved. Phil waffled through it all. I wish they'd show repeats of his show when it first began. He was so different.

Spoiler TV is saying 0.4 and 1.39. I'm pretty sure Season 14 will be it. Maybe they'll decide on a shortened season and maybe amp it up instead of this drivel we're getting now.

I was mesmerized by the amount of grace goop dripping out of Luci... that and Rowena's over the top eye makeup. Yikes! It's such a shame. They have good quality actors here, but they're being wasted. They have great characters too, but they just do the same things over and over. And we all had so many expectations for the AU last year when the season began. But sadly it's just dissolved into TWD only with vampires and meany angels. Mary is Rick, I guess? He wasn't much bothered about his son either .... until he was. Killing Sam doesn't do a damn thing these days, writers!! We're not reaching for the hankies. We're yawning. We KNOW he's not going to stay dead. A feeble attempt at some concocted drama. They could've made it through the tunnel killing vamps on the way and Mary could have hugged BOTH her sons (what a refreshing sight that would've been!) when they came out the other end. Luci simply could've followed them. He was going to find the motley TWD group anyway whether Sam lead the way or not. It was dull. Even the tunnel was dull. OK the creatures were scary looking but they didn't build any suspense. Flashlights in a tunnel where there could be vamps hiding round any corner should have had us biting nails. And how come Luci could tame them? The only thing I have to hang onto now is whatever Dean is going to do when he 'steps up'. However it probably won't last more than an episode.

Dabb will have her wearing a Cape and Tights next season. Wait and see!

this^. Phil does present interesting topics and they should make for riveting TV- but somehow it' s all blah and boring. Phis says the same things over and over. Nothing is sorted. He obviously reads from a prompter. He's not invested. He doesn't care at all. I'm sure he did in the beginning, but he's just phoning it in now. It's time for the show to end. And the ridiculous final few minutes with his starving botoxed wife pushing her face creams. It's almost sad. They need to buy a condo in Florida and retire.
