  1. GOOD for them! Id love to know if Creation were pissed they had to reschedule an entire evening because of Jared goofing around and not just going like he was meant to.
  2. I do! The Ghost Studz were enough to make me pay attention, but naming one of the guys Jared made me think “yep, this is definitely a SN ghostfacers parody” haha
  3. As I understood it Cas (and other angels) can exist fine without their grace! It was Cas absorbing the other angels grace in Holy Terror, which caused the problems.
  4. LMAO 176 mentions this week versus 149 last night! The #MySupernatural boycott really was a failure on all fronts :D
  5. Honestly, that would seriously anger me if I’d paid for a Misha/Jensen panel. Jared had just had his own panel with Misha so there was no need for him to stay and Jensen/Misha panels are extremely rare - there’s what JIBCon and maybe one or two others per year. It’s really obnoxious to me and I say that as someone who generally likes Jared.
  6. I haven’t time to watch the full thing at the moment. Does Jared stay for the full Jensen and Misha panel or just for a while at the start?
  7. Fair enough. Although honestly my stuff about Dean isn’t an extremely an anti-Destiel based thing or even anti-Dean. IMO neither Sam or Dean are capable of forming healthy long term relationships due to the messed up and all consuming nature of the bond between them. Relationships need commitment, trust and a willingness to put your partner first neither brother is capable of providing. I’ll stop here since we are off topic for this thread, but if anyone wants to discuss further please feel free to reply in the relationships thread :)
  8. Sorry, but you know even if canon Destiel were a thing, I’d rather Cas got with someone who’d put him before anyone else. And no I don’t expect Dean to change. Sam will always be his number one and it’d be OOC for that to suddenly change. Doesn’t mean I can’t want different for Cas though ;)
  9. And then I can get my wish of John Barrowman playing a Castiel love interest :D
  10. I’ve always assumed the Winchester’s are meant to be seen as soul mates. When he’s explaining about how heaven operates he describes “Winchester land” as opposed to “Sam land” “Dean land” and “Ashland”. Then there’s the fact the camera focused on the brothers after the mention of soulmates sharing heaven. However, I’m far from a Wincest fan. So I assume soulmates in the SPN verse are not exclusively romantic, but simply two people who are extremely close and just click whether it’s as a romantic couple, family or friendship based bond. Obviously in the Winchester’s it’s familial. And personally I don’t think anyone can watch this show and argue that for good or for bad Sam and Dean aren’t closer to each other than they are to everyone else.
  11. I’ve always had the head canon (and I say head canon Cus I know it wasn’t explicitly stated on show) that the events of Mystery Spot took place in a pocket verse / illusion similar to that conjured by Gabriel in Changing Channels. If I’m right about that then the events wouldn’t have had an impact on the real world.
  12. This! It was bad wording on my part, but all of these instances make me believe that both brothers need to be dead for the Winchester to stay dead. Otherwise the other will do whatever shady stuff is needed to bring them back and regardless of the consequeces.
  13. I honestly expect the show to end with both alive or both dead. At this point I feel both need to die at the same time, and entities like the angels and Billie need to let them stay dead, to break the current vicious cycle of finding ways to resurrect one another.
  14. I didn't say the scenarios were identical just that the writers were using the same type of tools in both cases. Benny was presented as the nicest vampire on the show to date, and while he had some blood issues this wasn't a major problem for Benny until the confrontation with Martin, a scenario Sam forced himself into. There was no complexity to the scenario. The show didn't bother to make reference to their past dealings with seemingly friendly Supernatural beings such as Ruby. It was written in such a way Benny was the good friend who was always there for Dean and helped him out of purgatory, while Sam's behaviour was portrayed as being based on jealously and spite. Any wrongdoings on Benny's part were also due to Sam who forced the heated encounter with Martin on him. So yeah I see the Dean / Benny / Sam scenario holding just as much ambiguity as the Dean / Jack / Sam scenario but YMMV.
  15. As others said previously I don't blame Sam for Charlie's death. Charlie is a grown woman who should own the choices she made. She was the one who chose to help Sam knowing the dangers involved, and she was the one who chose to leave the protection offered by Castiel because Rowena annoyed her. I found Charlie a lot more culpable for her death than Kevin who had no idea about the Angel-in-a-Sam and never chose to enter the hunting life in the first place.
  16. I agree about this! Another thing that makes me suspect Speedwagon is actually alive is the fact Beverly tells us, and Ally confirms, that Kai took the blame for every murder except Ivy's. Wouldn't he want the FBI to know that Ally had murdered a police informant? My ranking of the seasons so far would be: LOVE 1. Asylum - I always love things that focus on demonic possession and religion as I find it fabulous. The cast were amazing especially Jessica Lange and Lily Rabe. 2. Murder House - Great season with numerous twists and turns and this was probably the most tightly plotted season of the show to date. Evan Peters as Tate was my favourite of this season. LIKE 3. Roanoke + Coven: The later seasons of American Horror Story have a habit of becoming overly convulted and filled with plot holes. I thought Roanoke did a good job of avoiding these flaws by splitting the season into two five episode blocks. I really liked a Coven because of its subject matter and I thought it was just a fun season overall. 5. Cult - A rather uneven season overall. There were episodes I was really invested in and others where I ended up spending half of them on my phone as I was bored to tears. DISLIKE 6. Hotel - A rather dull and over the top affair in my opinion. It didn't help that 90% of the characters were pretty hard to like in spite of great performances from the cast. Denis O'Hara's fabulous performance was the only thing I can say I truly liked about the season, and I thought Lady Gaga did a decent job considering the fact acting isn't her main profession. 7. Freak Show - Awful, awful season. I doubt I'll ever rewatch.
  17. Yes, It adjusted up to 1.89 viewers and a 0.7 demo. @Morrigan2575 has the table of ratings a few posts up :)
  18. head canon Alert: Since Jack can control the rate he ages at he can also choose what he looks like and he chose a body that could pass as Cas’ son instead of Lucifer!Jeff
  19. I did say that this is a commentary on secondary characters in general and not just Castiel. That’s why I listed Castiel, Mary, Crowley and now Jack as examples in a previous post :) And I’m fairly certain, based on Dabb’s tenure to date, the narrative will portray it as a) Jack’s own fault of b) Cas does something negative that drives Jack to the dark side. I’ve been burnt too many times to expect anything else, but we can agree to disagree.
  20. I know God resurrected Cas as a seraphim post Swan Song, but isn’t he the equivalent of a regular angel now or at least a lot weaker than then. It’s said in s10 that while Cas got his grace back in The Book of the Damned he did not get it all back. Some of it was used in the spell to throw the angels out of heaven.
  21. My point is that instead of Sam and Dean being the ones to rescue their mother it’s gonna be Jack who does it. That means the negative consequences of that decision, be it a death or unleashing Michael into the world,,will be Jack’s fault. It will have been something he did and since Sam and Dean didn’t ask him to do it they get their mother back and don’t get any of the blame either. The same way Lucifer being unleashed into the word is the fault of Castiel because he said yes in contrast to the strong Sam, or Mary’s involvement with the BMoL’s makes Sam and Dean’s dealings with them quite minor in comparison. IMO the secondary characters (Cas, Mary, Crowley and now Jack) aren’t really considered characters under Dabb’s regime. He simply views them as plot devices to get the plot moving while allowing Sam and Dean to remain as squeaky clean as possible. He’s essentially the opposite of Carver who loved to make the boys screw up personally.
  22. Gonna reply in the bitter spoilers thread just to be safe.
  23. I wouldn’t blame Jack for the rift opening the first time as that was apparently some sort of instinctual thing, but if he purposely opens the portal a second time (which the synopsis suggests he and Kaia will) then the blame for the fallout of that opening lies with Kaia and Jack. They made the decision to reopen it no one else.
