  1. I also think it is possible we'll have alternate universe endings.
  2. There is going to be the possibility of a sequel or continuation because, like the Bene Gesserit, Lynch understands the importance of an open ended system. I don't mean there will be a sequel. I mean whenever it ends the story will have one foot raised, taking the next step. I felt at the beginning of season two Cooper was ready to retire and fish with Harry. I think him him wanting to be with his family is plausible.
  3. I'm assuming Richard was fried in a trap only the cooper DNA could set off. A very specific trap. Dark Cooper is a user. Also means good Cooper can survive by sacrificing a manufactured clone/Tulpa at some point or by convincing dark Cooper to take the 'wrong' door. The red door image is to me possibly significant. Dark Cooper wants to avoid the red room . Why would Naido look nothing like Diane? White duke's tin machine changes a woman! For a moment I wondered if Lucy was Diane.
  4. Or pregnant, choosing food over torture. Best not delve too deeply......
  5. Every person carries so much history. Richard Horne is a monster but also so much lost potential. It is communicated emotionally but with ....common stories and characters have endings and middles and special hats so you can recognize them and once you figure them out you just watch them play out. Lynch's characters are all born with the pieces to change and grow.!
  6. I'm without words allow me to explain at length...? Um .... "I am the FBI" wow, a series of moments. "dad can drive good." i liked that.he armed himself. Audrey showed the sexuality I remember from the first season in her dance. But. I guess she is waking up from a coma. Where is the real Diane?
  7. Bushnell mullins has unexpected wisdom and people keep him in the loop. I'd pair him with Hawk.
  8. Audrey can't strangle Charlie. Charlie has no neck! just realized.
  9. I do want to say that doh ring comes across as really sincere and Logan is a master here. I don't know if he believes it because I don't think he ever says.
  10. Maybe she's killing herself to hurt Aaron. Partially. Explains it, anyway. Well good for her embracing the lips! im not sure about the stalking because well in real life um Thing is it is a huge deal to gIve the government the right to dig and reveal information. We allow this for good reasons. There are checks and balances. Random busybodies, though....it works in this instance because Lamb, I guess Im not sure about her or private investigators in this world in general. Im thinking about it anyway.
  11. Ok, I think this is where my impression of l/v turns off the interstate. Logan passive aggressively has Aaron donate to soup kitchen, donate boots to school. Logan gets in Aaron's face protecting his mother when Aaron can't counter because in school. Pattern. Aaron then beats Logan in private. Pattern. Lynn drinks, Logan drinks. Lynn has Aaron followed, takes picture and leaks to press. Lynn doesn't confront him directly about abuse or infidelities. Passive aggressive. Also the Echolls do not air their laundry in public! What Logan was taught, anyway Lynn goes off to kill herself with a parting shot, she is doing it because of Logan and Aaron Lynn and Logan are two peas in a pod at this point. when Lilly died Logan little st his friends, he's mad at Veronica, she used to be his friend. he knows the bullying is abusive so he is passive aggressively justifying it to Rebecca. Her fault, if she hadn't done that Lilly would be alive! He is a sad and screwed up person, yes. Veronica takes it at face value she always takes what he says at face value. She trusts him. she is the opposite of passive aggressive. It softens their relationship, she forgives the bullying. She forgives him abandoning her during her hard times( mother left, dad lost job, etc) Does he forgive her abandoning him? I don't think so
  12. I never was able to appreciate this as a mystery, I was spoiled when I saw it for the first time. Makes a difference Lilly was clearly smart, charismatic, a leader why didn't her parents back her for president? Instead of Duncan who wasn't charismatic and had periods of violence? Yeah the Kane's had to be crazy neurotic about hiding his illness. Was it The narcissistic personality disorder? Surely not a disadvantage in politics? No, this is a very very convention pool of tar in general Veronica is swimming upstream from the fifties The thing I see most about Weevils l is that the relationship with Caitlin and Chardo must have really hit him and he must feel like a fool at times and at times in denial.
  13. You are right. Jakes society in 3 was skull And bones, maybe, this one rick says the members are who you'd expect, good at everything, sports, academics....why I wondered.
  14. Yeah, then I guess good grades and affiliation with jake got him in.
  15. I think we are supposed to assume that the idea is she's famous. Yeah, they live in a beach town, they've all seen girls in bikinis and none of them are virgins, except hopefully Sean.
  16. A lot happens in this episode, it seems longer and fuller than its length supports. I assume Jake was a Triton. Was Duncan ever mentioned in any sports and I forgot? Except bleacher jumping, I mean.
  17. This reminds me that I binge watched this show when I was recovering from a car accident with some head damage because I had completely forgotten that Lynn had been having Aaron stalked by PIs in Hollywood and leaking pictures to the tabloids. Thing is, why did she kill herself? I've been thinking it was because passive-aggressive Logan was changing the family dynamics by setting his dad up to donate to the soup kitchen and school fund, But I forgot about the attacks she is making on Aaron. So, is she doing the passive aggressive thing like Logan (I'm not going to leave but I'm going to dig dig dig at you) or does she figure he'll put his pants back on when it becomes public because of his image? Or does she plan on divorcing him, but the suicide happens really quickly, she has to give it some time to percolate in the public pot, right? Also, of course he's going to try to win in the divorce. I'm not sure exactly why she kills herself, but I'm pretty sure Logan and Lynn have a lot in common in the way they deal with problems. Aaron is straight up aggressive. Logan blaming Veronica for breaking him up with Lilly so he wasn't able to protect her is also kind of passive aggressive, because its kind of a 'yes, I'm bullying her, but she made me' comment. But she's spying on him, so maybe they deserve each other. Bugging the stapler is completely inappropriate but it is also so what PI's do in this world. But we approve of Veronica's chosen profession and it is morally ok as long as she's paid? she has already had that confrontation with Dad (with retribution in kind) about doing a background check on Rebecca, so she's a slow learner, even if she is smarter than Lamb. No, wait. Her problem was not doing the background check, it was telling her Dad. She did learn! Lisa Rinni has the worst looking blown up lips. Why actually do people do that? wouldn't it make more sense just to plump them up a little instead of inflate them like balloons? Can they not tell how big they are going to get when the procedure is performed? I love the interview in the car covered with tarp, because that doesn't look unusual at all, right? Are people supposed to assume it has termites?
  18. I think Arya isn't a villain but it has also been a long part of her short life since she has been with anyone she can give the benefit of the doubt about almost anything, really, she has a doctorate in (um) take no one at face value.
  19. Good post. Besides her exotic beauty I did think of Monica bellucci as an actor in the Matrix, a story that also references Lewis Carroll (Neo goes down the rabbit hole; in the dream Bellucci mentions the dreamer, e.g. The red king.) other than that Bellucci seems random although we know Lynch likes girls :-) and coffee so having a dream with a beautiful girl and coffee, like this and twin peaks, ,ahem, not too surprising i do think the lodges are an ongoing struggle and I imagine there is a dreamer in show as well as the audience.
  20. Yes it would but it seems to fit. Very noir well, we will see soon enough.
  21. Although the thing could end with a body wrapped in plastic because violence/the struggle will be ongoing. The last scene could be Bobby's stricken face as his daughter's face is unwrapped. To add I think this is pretty likely and we'll watch Bobby cry as was foreshadowed by his crying over Laura's picture. But after the credits will be some black lodge image, such asowls, convenience store, Bob's Cheshire Cat grin.
  22. I wonder if the interplay in the Sheriff's office indicates that she was a bit of a player there while her father was Sheriff? I read the transcript, used my tv watching time rewatching "Fire Walk With Me", but the bus is always a place to read. Veronica definitely digs out that Mac's dad started the store where he now works as an employee in 1992 and went bankrupt in 1994. That is what happened to the million dollars (or what was left after taxes). It is nice meeting Leo. Is Madison so awful because money corrupts? If so, why is Lauren nice? I honestly don't think any of this really means anything except someday Mac will get really drunk, some time when she needs money, feel sorry for herself and then pull up her socks and move on.
  23. Yeah a whole other movie a spinoff
  24. I always have assumed this to be true.
  25. In a completely creepy serial killer way. Is her name a homage to sandman? Or am I just too tired to live? Great call on the mirrored movements. She's shelley's daughter. Dammit.
