  1. Well, I'm in California. If the recall is successful, I'm doing a write in vote for the Bear. The bear will do a better job at being governor than the bear candidate would.
  2. I believe CHEDIAVOLO means that Dylan's parents should have gotten a paternity test when Erin first declared that Dylan was the father.
  3. There is a link to the skit in the Media Thread.
  4. Sorry to disagree, but Amalia says "when". This is with HBO closed captioning.
  5. So far, the show reminds me of Broadchurch. Small town murder. Investigating detective's life deeply entangled with everyone else in town. Every episode will probably present a new prime suspect. I'm a little confused about the gunshot question during the interview montage, was Erin shot? Did they say how she died? I had assumed from the way Erin's body was left that she was sexually assaulted prior to her death. I don't remember seeing a gun shot wound on the body. What is up with Mare's mom? Although she knew that Carrie (Drew's mom) was going to fight for custody, she purposely didn't tell Mare that. I also question PA Child Services judgement if they consider giving Carrie full custody. Maybe Carrie's lawyer is gaslighting her. Either Tony Del Rasso (Brianna's father) has a major league pitching arm or the windows in Mare's house are made of shit. I don't see how a gallon of unfrozen milk would make it that far into her house, let alone get past the window.
  6. Not only was she entitled, she was manipulative asshole. She accused Mark of abandoning everyone during the first attack of Sinclair's creations at the college even though she knew Mark was Invincible weeks beforehand.
  7. There is a mention of it in the scene where the influential men of London were talking about The Touched. Lord Massen considered The Touched to be an attack on the British Empire. He stated "This [the attack] was designed so that we would see the parts and not the whole... The heart of the empire brought to a shuddering halt by the caprice and ambitions of those for whom ambition was never meant."
  8. For those who are interested, there is an after show program.
  9. The retreat was a fun diversion for the team. I liked that Hampton was trying to get as much as he could from the outdoors experience. Also, I liked that Coach Mosley had the team come up with an in bounds play and actually used it in the game following the retreat. The weekend did a lot for team building prior to the playoffs. It was important for team cohesion since ELAC is a commuter school and it seemed like the team as a whole did not interact much outside of practices and classes/tutoring. I would think that the Coaches would have received a stipend to offset at least some of the cost of the retreat. He could also receive a tax break from the expenses that were incurred.
  10. She reminded me of Robin Tunney from The Mentalist.
  11. Regina King directs. Available on Amazon Prime.
  12. Most likely it means the show didn't want to deal with the headache regardless of the outcome.
  13. Maybe this is part of Haley's "muck" strategy. Elena's death is the unfortunate result of "rough but consensual sex". Elena simply forgot to use her safe word.
  14. How about this: Sylvia is Grace's half sister. She is a result of one of Franklin's affairs. He didn't want to acknowledge her so he secretly financed her college education and law school. Sylvia found out who her father is and hates Grace because she didn't have the life that Grace had. Sylvia had an affair with Johnathon because she saw that Grace had the most perfect life and wanted to take that away from her. She finally had the opportunity to destroy Grace when Johnathon came to her about Elena. At least, that's my 2 cents 🙂
  15. He was the public defender that Johnathon was originally assigned to. He is the one Sylvia called "The Badger".
  16. The YouTube video of Chappelle's monologue is 16:36 in length.
  17. I thought so too. But I cannot find any confirmation of it. The space babe (Seraphina Aka Beyond C’est) is played by Karen LeBlanc according to IMDB.
  18. Given all that we've seen in the series, it would not surprise me if Leti turns into a vampire.
  19. Ruby went to the store with the intention to apply for a job. When she entered the store, Ruby saw a Tamara working at the counter. Ruby felt/knew that there was no way Marshall Fields was going to hire another black woman (as she explains to Chrilliam in a later conversation).
  20. I think we have to assume that this is a small close-knit community on the Chicago South Side. Mom and pop businesses were essential to the community and the community self polices against theft. I also think that Hippolyta hired someone to mind the store while they were on their road trip so the garage door will be closed sometime during the day. As for Tree, he took advantage of the shared community support for a free ride. I think Hippolyta saw how annoying giving a ride to Tree would be to the others and that just made it all the more appealing -- it is her car. In the early scene with Leti, Christine mentioned that Tic's blood has power because Titus spelled it that way. I'm going to assume that Titus spell gave him the power to communicate with Yahima (close caption stated the language was Arawak) and since Tic is a male of Titus's blood, he also has that power. Leti should give the Creole woman room and board in exchange for teaching her protection and exorcism chants. From what I can tell from the last episode, the arm had belonged to Hiram Epstein and losing the arm appeared to be part of what caused Hiram's death. No idea on why it looked fresh. The door on the other side of the plank transported the group to under Leti's house, so the water came from Lake Michigan. The trap door was probably a portal to a location that was underwater.
  21. Was there any explanation on how the bodies of the 3 white guys got into the secret cavern under the house? Or how all that blood from the bodies was cleaned up? It looked to me that Atticus and Leti had no idea the three had broken into the house.
  22. Don't forget the last couple of seasons of Friday Night Lights.
  23. I have a feeling that George's car isn't quite dead yet. I think it will be a running gag that the Woody gets destroyed and the restored throughout the season. 😆
