    S06.E02: JSS

I wondered if Morgan was walking back to where the others are dealing with the zombiethon they were leading last week. I wonder how far away they are, since he was on foot, and arrived in time to help. I can't believe Spencer couldn't shoot that well! I thought that he, at least, had some practice. I'm not sure how Enid could be one of the wolves, if they aren't letting anyone live. I wonder how they got together in the first place. Jessie was great - and the comment on Talking Dead, "how about that hair cut now?" as Ron walked in, made me LOL. I thought that Enid was kind of like a younger Carol, emotionally, at least: leaving, because people were dying. Don't get attached...
  2. I loved it. I didn't think it was all over the place. I missed it last week, so I had to find it in the on-demand section. I might have to watch it again, because I was trying to figure out who some of the actors were - I recognized them from somewhere, but didn't know where: Kieran Culkin, Matt Damon look-a-like (from Breaking Bad), Ann Cusack (I thought she was Joan, at first), and I thought the one man's wife was Alyson Hannigan. I loved my electric typewriter, when I was a kid. Kieran Culkin reminds me a guy I went to school with: he looks just like him. I liked Kirsten Dunst. A guy on another board referred to her as "old". She's only 33. I like the whole tone of it - I think they do well with both the silly and the serious.
  3. I had been thinking the opposite, and wondering if they would make themselves sick, so as to pollute their blood, but a vaccine makes more sense.
  4. I watched the first four episodes, the Saturday before last, and finished the series today. I love it, and wish there were a few more episodes. I'd put this off because of the whole "gritty gangster drama" thing, but put it on when I was stuck at home, and kept hearing about it. I'd heard the name Pablo Escobar before, but didn't know much about him or what was happening at the time - I was in my late teens when he was killed. I don't see Escobar as a sympathetic character. They occasionally show him to appear to actually care about someone outside of his own family, so I can see why someone might think they were writing him that way, but I was just thinking as I was watching, that he was a really cold, utterly shameless b@stard. I couldn't believe that he was complaining about being a victim - I can't believe what he got away with in the first place!
  5. That scene bothered me, and I hope they don't keep up with the vaccinating issue. I hoped it was because she'd lost a child. This was better than last week, although I also wish they'd stick to one or two story lines at a time. My favourite part was March and Evers - the whole thing was really well done. I was also glad they had the girl see her brother so soon, and the dad believing her. Tristan certainly changed his tune fast. I liked him briefly, when he didn't want to shoot the woman, and jumped up, stunned, when March shot her.
  6. That was disappointing. I'd read spoilers about the books, last year, and knew that something would happen with Zach, but didn't pay attention as to how it happened. I only read the first book. I wasn't really putting people together in my mind, but Nora and Fet would have been good together. I wasn't expecting them to kill Nora. I also wondered where Dutch was.
  7. I liked them, too. And everyone so casually talking about how they've slept with Chad. They've shown the opening credits before, haven't they? Or did I see them online?
  8. She's apparently teaching people to defend themselves, as well - at least Jessie and her sons. haha! I was wondering if she had received a pasta maker, by now. It's a shame these people didn't get to meet the Rick from season 2 - he was the one respecting Hershel and the others' wishes, or doing his best to. I also thought about that survival instinct that someone mentioned up the page here. I don't know if I have it. Maybe I'd surprise myself, but I think I'd be more like the new people.
  9. So everyone except Alex, is involved in some sort of long-con? I'm tired of the constant twists, as well, although people here have seen them all ahead of time. Shelby found out things she didn't like about her parents, Simon also seemed to be undercover, etc. I can't believe her mum threw her under a bus so easily - that film didn't show her taking a hostage, it showed her *running*.
  10. haha! We have a little roundabout in one area we drive through, every so often, and dad says he doesn't know why they put it there. If you think London is bad, try driving around the Arc de Triomphe. ;) I haven't lost my father, and I understood why he would want to know where his father was buried. I also understand why Rick couldn't be the one to try to tell Ron anything. I think he was wrong to dump the body in the woods - he should have been buried, for his son's sake. Jessie may have been freaking out at the time, but she still told him to go ahead. On the one hand, I understand her too: nobody else had done a thing about her abusive husband. I'm iffy on her, but I liked her standing up for her son, as I said before. Morgan may have appreciated Carol, but I had visions of her tying him to a tree for walkers.
  11. I hadn't realized how much I missed the show, until the episode started.
  12. I'd forgotten about the Unfair Wolves. I was wondering who would be stupid enough to do what happened at the end.
  13. I didn't mind the black and white flashbacks. I don't understand why they didn't use the horn in the car? Maybe it wasn't loud enough to cover the huge horn that's drawing them to the safe zone, but they could have tried to keep some of them that way. Or even used it here and there from the very beginning. I liked Heath. Glenn is great. "I'm supposed to be delivering pizzas!" in response to that guy saying it was only supposed to be a trial run. I still like Rick, but his more agitated self makes me cringe a bit, too. He seems to be pure adrenaline now - except for when he was holding his little girl. That said, I also don't like that woman - Jessie? - acting so distant, after she told him to go ahead and kill her husband. I don't mind her sticking up for her son, and she's right that he won't listen to the guy who shot his dad, but she definitely came across like Lori.
  14. Where have you seen this? If nobody told me I was sick for watching Hannibal, where someone was fed their own leg at some point, and the corpses looked like serial killer crafts, I doubt they would think I'm sick for watching AHS.
  15. I liked her. She was grounded, and didn't take any BS, but did her best to be polite (until pushed). I thought the family were a good base. like the family in "Medium" - responding to the craziness the way the viewers might, and I did root for them (the husband, not so much, until the end). I've never really liked the really over-the-top parts of the show, but there were other elements that kept me around. I even liked more of Freak show than most seem to have. But the previews, the little snippets of things that end up not being in the actual show, were more interesting to me with Coven, and Freak Show. I prefer spooky, and menacing (sometimes) to outright gore. I hated the Hostel movies. That just isn't my thing. I'm going to watch the premiere again. I liked Se7en, and watched it a couple of weeks ago (the story, not the disgusting visuals - I turned away for those). The only part that I really liked of this, was the girl's walk down the hall, with the kids appearing, and the chatty maid. I'm just not sure if I'm up to it this year.
  16. I had similar thoughts. :) Not a bad day's work. The episode was mostly disappointing for me. I didn't know if it was my mood, since I generally like the first episodes of this series, but I'm not waiting impatiently for next week. I agree with those who have said it's too much gore and too many shocking scenes. I loved the first two seasons. I think it would be more shocking (and more interesting - to me) if he toned it all down, and went with more of a regular spooky story. I've stopped watching other shows, because of their need to increase the shock value, year after year. I do wonder how they got the little boy, unless vampires can be out in the sunlight in this series. The best part of this was the ghostly maid, for me. Her amused little comments, all cheery and friendly. I'll have to watch it again, when I'm in a better mood, to see if I like it any more than I do this morning.
  17. I was confused, as well. Taylor Swift does that? The part about personal gain made me laugh, too, because it reminded me of anyone who does giveaways on TV or online, when they're trying to sell something, or gain new followers/book sales/viewers, etc.
  18. If someone killed my dog, I don't like to think about what I might do. I freaked when he wandered out of the garden this morning (I found him relaxing in a ditch, enjoying the sunshine). I use a lot of hot sauce, so I'd be getting the side-eye from certain people in iZombie world. This episode was a little off, but I laughed at the Archie Bunker reference, and the T-shirt comment. I expected the roommate to be the secretary.
  19. I watched this the other night. Ugh, the animals being killed, the girl being gang-raped... that was a really tough episode to watch.
  20. I still don't like the covers. I've never minded April, but I really like new April. Blonde intern reminds me a bit of Brian Krakow (?) from My So-Called Life. He looks so familiar, I don't know if I was actually confusing him for the other actor, or if I've seen him in something else over the past year.
  21. I've just watched the first two episodes on the freeview part of on-demand. I don't have Showtime, so I'm going to have to find a way to catch up online. I had no interest in it before, and only watched because it was there, but now I'm intrigued.
  22. They can't smoke on TV now? I'm not a smoker, but I think that's a bit much. But people can be shot, or take drugs on TV, and so on.
  23. I've started to watch Glee, and I like it so far. I mostly liked tonight's episode. I don't catch all of the references to other shows or movies, because I either haven't seen them, or it's been well over twenty years since I did. I barely remember anything about Heathers, so anything taken from that, I'm not catching.
  24. I wonder if he dies from his injuries (or if Daniel kills him, since he can't send him back to his friends/co-workers), and he turns. I think the character mentioned above, said something about "humane termination". I also don't understand why they would just kill people. Maybe they've lost too many men elsewhere, so they need to move on, but that's no excuse for killing healthy people. I also liked Liza taking the gun, and putting down Grizelda (?), before she could reanimate.
  25. I suspected that, as well, but I also wondered if one or both of them were undercover for another agency, tracking another FBI recruit, as someone just mentioned above. I also wondered about the blonde girl.
