  1. Laurence got classic/trendy, but I could see her look fitting into all the pairings (except fitted/oversized). Sexy/modest Basic/bold Elegant/edgy Formal/casual (kind of a stretch but maybe) No real point to this, it's just a thought that occured to me...
  2. I agree. The challenge wasn't a "real client" challenge where she was making a dress for someone who wanted a modest look that was also sexy. The challenge was to combine the elements. I thought her way of doing it was clever.
  3. I live in MN, I've seen lots... for years... many years. It drives me crazy when they act like "puffer" anything is exciting or fresh. Ezra Miller (ugh, I know) wore a Moncler puffer full length coat/gown on the red carpet in 2018. Ezra Miller is problematic, but it was a "wow" moment. But doesn't fashion move quickly? When that wow moment was five years ago, it seems like it's over.
  4. Episode 6 gave me the same feeling I had when I watched Uncut Gems.
  5. The last scene with Bo really nailed that! When they were running away from the werewolf, I got the feeling we were supposed to be hoping Bo and Hec get away, and the other two don't. But Bo and Hec were no better than them.
  6. Totally agree about American Werewolf in London! Along with that movie, the paparazzi angle also made me think of "Nope"
  7. I really enjoyed this one. Mainly due to to the talent and charm of the leads. I also really enjoyed the story of it all.
  8. I liked it much more the second time. The first time I had no idea where it was going and it felt so slow. The second time it didn't seem slow at all. I go back and forth on whether OJ lived, I kind of wish that was resolved. Or not! I'm not sure! 😃 I think the cinematographer going to get the "impossible" shot ties in with the quest for fame, notoriety, or "spectacle" that the movie comes back to a lot. I agree the chimp portions had a different tone, but, holy cow! Loved it!
  9. This reminds me of when a friend needed to get blood out of carpet (not a murder! His husband fell and skinned his knee). I told him when my friend Sarah was a paramedic, she used hydrogen peroxide to get blood out of her uniform. He seemed so confused, he just didn't seem to be getting it. I clarified that he should just dab the spot with hydrogen peroxide. He said "Okay... but... when Sarah was a paramedic... why did she have a UNICORN?" I regret that I didn't answer "Because they couldn't afford ambulances."
  10. I liked the way the final bakes looked like they were glowing, due to the yellow splotch on Noel's sweater being directly behind them!
  11. The scene with Mr. Moss and Gene also reminded me of Season 1 when Sally and Barry do an acting exercise where they say "I love you" with different inflections. Mr. Moss changed how he said "Do you love my daughter" the same way Sally changed how she said "I love you"
  12. "They don't like the baby." "So it's not just us."
  13. Well, I enjoyed the heck out of that! I was tickled to see Eddie Izzard pop up in the hot-hot bath sketch (and brushing her hair with Kevin's toothbrush!) Favorite line (which I will definitely use when I can): Gordon: How much do weigh these days? Fran: Only whores weigh themselves.
  14. Sally said "The way you yelled at me the other day sent me to a place I never want to go again. This relationship isn't good for me." She recognized that she was falling back into old behaviors. Barry yelled, she apologized. She bought a special dinner, a new game controller. She broke up with Barry based on her behavior as much as his.
  15. I loved that Hank's associates are "Dom and Deluise" Also loved the long, long list of names Gene's agent rattled off, and even remembered who said what and when. The customer support call to the detonator app was hilarious! "Sounds like we were successful. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" If I recall correctly, Joe Montegna really does do a lot of work with veterans. What was the bomb saying?
  16. I was thinking hand pies/hot pockets. Or state fair food (anything on a stick). Chef Jim Smith (Charleston) was also a Top Chef scholar. It's such a smart thing to do! And Jim is often a guest on a lot of the Top Chef podcasts now. I hope Buddha will do the same! Like a lot of people, I'll be fine with any of them winning. But it's Buddha I really want to watch in the finale. He's the most inventive and surprising to me.
  17. I think I could be happy with 15 minutes of plot and 15 minutes of close ups of Anthony Carrigan's face! Can't wait to see how this all shakes out!
  18. That was my thought - how is rice different from crumbs?
  19. When I saw Jackson in the peanut gallery, for a split second I thought "who's that?" Man, my memory is short!
  20. Luke made no impression on me until he was leaving! Nice that at the end of such an emotional episode Luke left with such a positive attitude. I love listening to Jae laugh so hard at her own jokes!
  21. I laughed when, after setting up the tables, Buddha told the servers "Don't come from behind. It's too creepy."
