  1. I guess you haven't been around too many university campuses, huh? It's practically the uniform.
  2. Jeez, her husband looks like he's in his 60's instead of in his 50's. The heart condition must be wearing on him.
  3. What - she ate before surgery?? Dr Now made a funny.
  4. Shoot - I missed the text - something about Oregon... did Rick miraculously recover and go home? OMG - spoiled shrimp will kill you. What is she thinking?
  5. No, I'm not fist pumping (which I hate) with the doctor. I couldn't figure out what she was doing. I thought she was breathing into a bag, but she's throwing up, huh? Pregnant? : )
  6. And Dr Now's niece or daughter or whatever looks on in quiet disapproval...
  7. Shoot, a burrito is the least of what-all she's eating. That's a heck of an order. I can't imagine being so big that just being awake is painful and being stared at everywhere. And yet, this has been going on for years and she's never done anything about it. And because I'm a terrible person, You can keep on the flip flops, Bri. They aren't going to make that much difference in your weight.
  8. I'm not gonna lie - I think I could help her with that cheesecake.
  9. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph - look what parents do to their children! I can't even...
  10. Oh my - seeing Brianna in that stall reminded me of a part-time job I had at Michigan's research unit in the university hospital. In addition to people getting kidney transplants (back in the early days) and serious stuff like that, we had obesees as well. I was a ward clerk and monitored the console where all the help lights lit up. I was told to not worry about lights from the obesees because they were so big, their hips would hit the buttons on the wall next their toilets. Now I can visualize what they were talking about.
  11. My late husband used to tease me that I knew every bathroom in Ann Arbor. I was sick as a dog practically the whole 3 months. Stay strong.
  12. I missed what the late night call from Buddy was really about. I gather it was TV 'click bait' to get people to watch. My great aunt was gay. She had a partner that we also referred to as our aunt. They were a big part of the family and I never thought of them as anything other than my aunts. I swear on all that's holy, I was going to college before I realized that they were gay. They both had good government jobs and their own house ( a big deal for black women back in the day), so I always wondered why they only had 1 bed and couldn't afford two. They were together for almost 50 years, until my bio aunt got Alzheimer's and eventually passed away. My other aunt lived to 101. I hope I have her genes. : )
  13. I am a grinch and rarely happy for anybody, but I am happy for them.
  14. Years ago I remember a news story about picking up people in the groceries in DC. People work long hours, they often don't get out, and the store seemed like a good place to me. I frequently have conversations with strangers in the store. I'm in a small town in the Midwest. People expect you to be nice. It can be a trial sometimes.
  15. I'm pretty sure there are addicts in all the major (and minor) cities in America. They don't all leave town. I don't care if Buddy comes back or not, but they need to stop saying that Greensboro is some kind of trigger for him and let him learn to work his program, wherever he is.
  16. Oh my goodness. Really. Is he taking estrogen or something? Wow.
  17. I always think of Trev asking Gail if she wants to make out. She says no. He says, "It was worth a try." They both laugh. I laugh. I don't have a problem with a guy showing some interest, as long as he's willing to take the response. I'm torn about him. Scotley was an idiot. He was another one who didn't understand that the cameras see everything. Sometimes a contestant will leave because the messed up so bad at service, but sometimes, they go because hiring someone like that would be a liability. There's teasing and there's bullying and workplace harassment. I don't think a guy has to take another guy's foolishness just because they are guys. He was like the Jersey girl from the other year, who emptied an ashtray on another contestant. Yeah, drama is good, but getting rid of lawsuits in the making is even better. So, that bit of understanding aside, Trev does have times when he is as mean-spirited as some of the others and he is often unable to see that people aren't ganging up on him, just because they choose him to go up, if his cooking wasn't up to par. That's what happens. Personally, if he does win, I'd like to see the faces of some of the castmates who gave him such a hard time in his first season. There must be a reason that GR brought him back. I'm still surprised Kevin isn't still around, tho.
