Not modest with that open back.

Why can't mom watch the bridal stuff on the phone?

Thank goodness! Since we're here, I have a question - does the fiance have to live with the American? I understand needing to prove there is a relationship, but I also understand not forcing people from some religions or cultures to live together before marriage.

Colt & Larissa & Debbie: Me, You, and Bith Phtew
aliya replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
Like Coltee's mom, I'm also a widow. Aliya jr was only 14 when he lost his father. I moved to his college town when he was a junior and we wound up living together to save money (I went back to school). We now live across the street from each other. I'm not going to lie, but if he moved out of state, I'd move with him, tho probably not move in with him. I'm also getting older and don't see any reason why I should live away from him just to show how 'mature' we are. If he bought another house in town, I wouldn't have to move to be close to him, but I might. I could justify it, tho, by saying that I'm downsizing. : ) I like my son. We like being together. What is the purpose of being separated just to miss each other? He has his own life; he's just close to me while he's living it. : ) -
If all I have done in life is to bring back the house coat to American women, I will consider it a life well-lived.

I hadn't thought about flannel before, but now, with a snow storm today with thunder, no less, I'm considering it. I bet it's cozy.

I don't have a PhD in Information Science for nothing: flannel house coat

I made Aliya jr pay 'rent' when he was an adult living with me. It was never half and never market rate (you can canonize me later). The point was to help build character and for him to learn that nothing is free. I never depended on him to fund our lifestyle. On the other hand, I get the distinct feeling that Eric needs every penny that Tasha brings in.

Get them both!

And this, ladies (and gents) is why, with a 14 yr old son, I didn't get re-married after my husband passed away. This stuff happens all the time, especially with males.

I wrote an article on stereotype threat and the elderly in libraries. I learned that I am 'young old,' as opposed to Mick Jagger, who is 'middle old.' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_age Keith Richards isn't even on the continuum. : )

Oh no! I'm old! I have 2 of these, only no buttons and in polyester (go big or go home) with the weirdest prints I've ever seen, but I love them. They are so comfortable. I keep one downstairs so I can strip out of my work clothes and start cooking my dinner right away. Between wearing a housecoat and getting that Medicare card, I guess I have officially moved into old lady category.

You can relax, Larissa. Ain't no woman looking at Coltee but you.

I will never hear that song again without thinking of Jesse Plemons and Breaking Bad.

Hasn't that happened to you? When shop online at my local grocery store, it always bounces me to the 'Marry an Alcoholic Loser' site. I've asked the store to have their IT folks look into it.

Isn't Kalani's family supposed to be Mormon? Obviously she's not observant if she fooled around before marriage (yeah, we take that seriously), but I wonder how she was raised. People do tease and make fun of each other, but the folks I know would be so much more pleasant, and understanding, and helpful than these people. They just seem rude. Poor Aseulo needs to go back home. This chick hates him and to be fair, he does seem a little simple. I don't know what she saw in him, even for a vacation fling.

OMGoodness! I didn't even put 2 & 2 together. My son was born in '77. No way in heck does he look like Eric. His friends don't look like Eric. I audit 40 yr old faculty and they don't look like Eric. Yeah, this guy is 50 at least, huh?

They should use this app that family annihilator Chris Watts and his girlfriend used - it looks like a calculator, but you can use it to hide texts and pictures. Personally, I can't stand all this phone searching, etc. Of course, if people kept their private life private instead of needing to take selfies everywhere or text about every sneeze...

We got a snow storm (not sure if it was a blizzard levels) and they cancelled church. Thankfully, I am well-stocked, cozy and am off work until Thursday. I don't even plan on getting dressed until I have to.

Man, this happened when I was faculty. I would spend faculty meetings looking around the room trying to figure out who might be nuts.

We forget that Steven didn't have any of 'his' adults around him. If his grandparents or mother (is she still alive) had been there to rein him in or remind him that Olga is hurting, it might have been a different story. I still don't see him as a terrible person, just young and without guidance.

Small Talk: Only 2 Ounces Of Commenting Allowed

On the BBC show about Paul Mason, they had concerns about finding an ambulance that could take him to the hospital and then structural issues in the hospital itself. Imagine not being able to get surgery (bariatric or otherwise) because you are too heavy for the floor and beds. -
Maybe it's me, but when I heard him talk about biting, I thought he meant when he was a kid. Did he bit people as a teen/adult? And how do we know that?

Listening to James K at work (something to do on the day before Thanksgiving...). Like many of the obesees, he talks about being unable to get full. I've thought about this for a bit and wondered, are we supposed to feel full after every meal? Is this where these folks have a problem? I think you should be satisfied after eating, but that doesn't equate with being full. I don't know if it is an age thing, or a just getting smarter thing, but over the past couple of years, I noticed that I just need to 'eat something,' not necessarily have a whole plate or bowl of food. Do these people never get that? Back to our normal programming...
