  1. It is a joke. A very funny one and well played by Nolan. He did not desert his reddit compadres. Nor let them down.
  2. Clayton is the spy he shot to get into the ER, I believe.
  3. Am trying to figure out why the just-promoted Marcel was killed in episode 1 by Baldwin. Since it was very public, I assume it's not to replace him. Alpha Howard took his place in strategy, at least temporarily. Perhaps, Alpha Howard is a deep double agent working for the other side (also why he wasn't killed when Clare sprung Baldwin from custody). My mind would be blown if that was revealed in the season finale.
  4. Another Babylon Berlin actor in this episode: the young woman who spoke at funeral was the political police chief's maid in BB. She joins the woman that takes Baldwin back to her apartment. I believe that Clare Alpha was murdered and replaced by Clare Prime after the marriage and before the birth of their child -- though as little time as either Quayle or Clare spend at home (she was gone all night saving then sexing Baldwin), they must have a hell of an au pair.
  5. Yes, Emily Alpha (our Emily) discovered that there is a mole. My guess is that was why she was injured and also she didn’t know whom to trust on our side, so the reached out to Howard Prime. Yes, seems as if they are students of The School (as was Baldwin, I think). It seems she was deferential to Clare because she was a superlative student at the school. Perhaps the best. Claude Lambert is the ambassador from the other side. He was in the last or one episode before. Not sure that there’s a site recapping this show. I’m in the middle of watching Berlin Babylon on Netflix (and I hope a forum is created for that show; it’s stupendous), and Liv Lisa Fries pops up In this episode as the food counter girl that gives Baldwin the free soup. I believe she’ll be in future eps.
  6. That reference was from Hardware Wars, and it was fantastic. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/12/16/rian-johnson-huge-dork-reference-star-wars-last-jedi-proves/
  7. For someone who introduced Will to Joy Division and The Clash last season, hard to believe Jonathon didn’t know the girl was dressed as Siouxsie Sioux. This has been the cranky old guy report.
  8. Who Is Judy?!?! :) Loved everything about this series. Everything. Kyle Maclachlan was superlatives throughout. At the end, it's all about Laura.
  9. By the end fight, they all had dragonglass weapons except Beric and Jon. Jorah had two daggers (and killed the polar bear with one), Tormund swapped his metal axe for one with dragonglass pieces, and The Hound dropped Gendry's hammer and pulled out a obsidian hatchet and knife from his coat. The redcoats' spears had obsidian tips.
  10. Since the Umber and Karstark's castles are the first to get attacked by wights when they breakthrough the Wall, as Jon mentioned in ep 1, I doubt they'll be much of a problem, except when little Ned and Alys arise from the dead.
  11. I don't disagree with you, but, from a plot perspective, the reason to go to KL (oblivious to the characters) is to get Gendry, plop him at WF and learn how to make Valyrian steel swords from Sam's books stolen from the Citadel. Have a feeling that the beginning of S8 has all the avengers meeting at Tony Stark's apartment at Winterfell and planning.
  12. I saw it the other way: Diane had a gigolo over, and he was leaving. Or he was a one-night stand from the bar from the rainy night. Well, Dougie Coop's attempted hit is on Vegas news television. It shouldn't be long till FBI finds him.
  13. "I'm calling on behalf of a third party...." That was a sucker punch.
  14. Absolutely. Say my entire life is a series of books in a bookcase and I pull out a book and I see I can speak French, there's a previous book that shows I've learned it. And once I've learned the heptodian language I can use future memories in the present as Louise did in the speaking to the general. Wonder if in 3000 years the help is to be fodder for some Predator-esque game play. Or help settle a bet. "Thank God your here. Humans can see colors better than we can. What color is this stupid dress?"
  15. Most recent film is Whskey Tango Foxtrot: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Without_You_(Badfinger_song)#Harry_Nilsson_version
  16. It certainly is plausible and probable. I missed that clarification.
  17. I think this exchange is post coitus. There's a mention of Jon being "presumably naked" when he is about to bend the knee. If so, the boat sex as the wall falls isn't the first time they've "done it". While this conversation could follow the boat sex, it seems rather pedestrian to occur in the season finale.
  18. Presumably from looting the estates of the all wealthy families she blew up in the sept. ;) Or looting Highgarden is probably more like it.
  19. I like to think that, in his travels, Gendry's learned the secret(s) to forging Valyrian steel/swords which brings him back to the northern sphere in preparation for the White Walker battle....and Arya.
  20. 23 noms in total Also (pulling from here): Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series Game Of Thrones • Battle Of The Bastards - Directed by Miguel Sapochnik Game Of Thrones • The Door - Directed by Jack Bender
  21. I know you weren't replying to me, but knowing what we do as viewers, LF sowing discord between Jon and Sansa is quaint and inconsequential with the White Walkers approaching from the north and Team Dany from the south. That "chaos is a ladder" crap may work one-on-one earlier, but attempting to outmaneuver Tyrion+Varys+Olenna backed by dragons, Dothraki, and Unsullied is strategically questionable. That said, I agree with you that LF is being written consistently as a character at Winterfell. My worry is that his character is rapidly becoming irrelevant and sucking plot time from the last 13 episodes. Unless he has hidden caches of dragon glass in the walls of his brothels, or flat murders Jon, I don't see how he impacts the fight with the White Walkers.
  22. Agree fully with your entire post. Jon needs to send Sansa, Cerwyn, Glover, Manderly, et al to The Wall for a 6 week bootcamp. Have Bran fetch Benjen and lay it all out for them. One sight of a wight or a White Walker (or Benjen even) will put everyone on the same page and render LF's machinations petty and meaningless. With 13 episodes left, I'll be pissed if we waste time with some conjured drama between siblings/cousins. Winter is here mothertruckers, and Jon KNOWS what that means.
  23. Season 7 directors announced: http://watchersonthewall.com/season-7-directors-announced/ Unfortunately, no Miguel Sapochnik, but Alan Taylor returns.
