  1. While I feel bad for the actors if the show isn't renewed, I think that it was badly written show that didn't give Gina Torres strong material. I have always wanted her to join The Walking Dead. She would be outstanding on anyone of those shows and it would raise the quality.
  2. I absolutely loved this. The 80s' hair, clothes, aerobic craze, and music made me nostalgic. I couldn't stop cracking up at the frosted tips, the baggy pants, etc. I can't wait to see what happens next. I think that Emma Roberts' character (can't remember her name) totally hallucinated the attack in her bedroom. I also think that there are likely multiple killers with different agendas at work. Emma Roberts' character might just be one of the killers.
  3. I don't get why Jessica didn't just walk away before the shit hit the fan with FBI. Oh well, if she had, the show would be over. Farewell, Jeff. I understand Nick feeling guilty for his part in the murder and not wanting to take down Bobby, but his willingness to go to prison without a fight is ridiculous. If the show comes back, I am sure that Keri will be back in City Hall, but I hope she is given more to do than being Bobby's bed mate. Were we supposed to respect or admire Bobby's speech? Because I just can't get there. He is an ass, end of. Angela, the most annoying person on the planet. She will be hysterical as an Alderman. Unwilling to compromise on any issue. She deserves it.
  4. The ratings in the key 18 to 49 demo slipped from .6 to .4, but that is still great for HGTV so the exes must still be happy. They are probably brainstorming about what other show they can recreate.
  5. I also thought that this was a good episode for Bishop. I liked the backstory about his relationship with Medina and why he was so determined to get justice for him. It explained why he has been so tough on testing EZ. Too bad they didn't build up Medina's tragic demise by showing their relationship on screen. I thought Michael lrby (Bishop) did a masterful job emoting his character's affection for Medina and his pain over his death. I have been thinking about a lot about the potential stories if Miguel is Felipe's son. I am wondering if Emily's attraction to Miguel is because subconsciously he reminded her of EZ. It has got to be first thought that Miguel has after the shock wears off. Emily's too. If the Reyes brothers get over their resentment of each other and accept each other, they will become a formidable force against the CIA and their other enemies. It would change the dynamic of the show completely.
  6. I have to say that I think that this season has been a huge improvement from the first one. The show is far more cohesive. Last season I repeatedly complained that the character in different stories came off like they were all on different shows. This season they are connected to each other and feel like they are finally in the same show. Yep, Felipe and Dita had a love affair. Miguel is probably his son. Yikes. That is a truth bomb that will destroy some lives. I have read speculation that Dita might have been involved in the hit on Felipe and his wife, but I think that it was more likely her husband. After all, he sent men to butcher Adelita's family. Surely he would have done the same to Felipe, especially if he caught a whiff of Dita's feelings for him. So there was a fire that caused major destruction and that is how Dita got the burns. I can't blame the woman for taking Emily's bribe. I can't imagine what it must be like to be living with your children in a motel unable to get back onto her feet financially. I am glad that EZ is far from Emily this season. Alvarez's talk with Mini was poignant, but all I could think, one murderer is comforting another. Being a good one is so relative on this show. Coco killing the cop's mother was horrible, but "my bad," the club's WTF response, followed by Bishop's "I'm not mad at that" made me burst out laughing. This show brings the dark humor. I still don't understand how no one has killed Potter already. He is so damn annoying. I hope that agent isn't into him. I saw how she was eavesdropping on his story about that woman he cared about. I just read the article posted above about Adelita's pregnancy. So the show is serious that Angel mightn't be the father? I really hope he is because these Reyes brothers are already sharing one woman with Emily, I can't deal with another. At this rate, I would prefer that Pablo be the father.
  7. I enjoyed the second episode and am still surprised by how much because I mentioned before that I wasn't the Brady Bunch fan and can barely remember any of the episodes. Usually don't like that mother/daughter team on their own show, but they were tolerable. I thought Susan and Mike shopping for drums and then getting the doll was moving as was Barry sitting at Mike's desk. I hope that HGTV is paying for those items viewers donated or returning them to their owners after the show.
  8. I just realized that we have lost both Gwen Ifill and Cokie Roberts, two talented women who were at the forefront of journalism. Sadly, I don't think that there has been another African American woman journalist of Ifill's stature.
  9. Cokie Roberts' death shocks me. I grew up watching her on the news and on various current affairs shows on ABC and NPR. She was one of the few prominent women journalists on the major networks. I didn't always agree with her, but I would always root for her (and Eleanor Clift) as she fearlessly took on those obnoxious know-it-all men like George Will. Rest in peace, Cokie.
  10. Here is another promo. This season looks like it is going to be so good. I love that we will be seeing Christopher in a rescue situation. I love that kid.
  11. This is so funny because I was thinking the same exact thing. She would have lost her mind not being able to put shiplap in the house. Ha.
  12. I didn't realize that Charlie and Jacob are related. I only watch occasionally. I agree that it isn't great, but I think that it is slightly above garbage; recyclable.
  13. I think that it is odd. Sendhil Ramamurthy is pretty high profile for the CW. You would think that the network would have him doing press all over. Maybe it doesn't want to pay him.
  14. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this, especially since I preferred The Partridge Family to The Brady Bunch. It was nostalgic and fun. Peter was always my favorite Brady and I enjoyed the enthusiasm of the actor who played Peter the most. I agree with the people who said that the 70s decor was an abomination. The house is a hodge podge of bad taste. I remember when the horrible plastic fruit was the rage. I couldn't stand them. HGTV must be very pleased with the ratings. We'll see if it holds up. It is also great PR for its various hosts. I think that HGTV could rent out the house for events. So many people loved the show and would be thrilled to get the chance to visit.
  15. I dread all this grieving. I want to forget that horrific version of Nora existed, not hear Barry and Iris wax poetic tearfully about her. Enduring Caitlin/KF's grief over her two minute father will be even worse. Nora in the promo is probably Jay's wife or something from Earth 3. Barry crying so early in the season. *snort* I hope that the show has a more fun lighthearted tone after COIE.
  16. I really hope that they aren't revisiting Jack and Sharon. Too me, he will always be Nick's stepfather who used to refer to Nick and Sharon as "kids."
  17. Ugh, Bobby is so slimy and Keri is a fool. McGann is repulsive and makes Nick come off sympathetic. The show is unlikely to be renewed so I hope next week the FBI sweeps in and indicts the whole lot. Derrick and Yoli were surprisingly sweet.
  18. So Parker isn't Vi's daughter. She is the daughter of Betty, Vi's friend who she has lost touch with.
  19. So Sam was bullshitting Vi. He has been present in their daughter's life all along. I can't believe that Nova got a happy ending with Calvin after all she did to her family. Charley should have been rewarded with a romance with Jacob.
  20. I don't get that. The Mayans must be flush with money because this new partnership with Gallindo and Adelita. Their influence and power should be increasing, not decreasing.
  21. What irks me about B&B and Y&R is that all these people are wealthy so why are they living with each other like packed in sardines? It is like they watched too much Dynasty during the 80s. The show doesn't have to build sets for all these different homes. Just don't show most of them most of the time. Ridge can easily afford to buy a house or put up Thomas in a hotel with round the clock nursing care. So why he is insisting that Thomas return to the house where the people who he victimized live? I do understand Ridge's outrage that Brooke wants Hope and Liam to get custody of Douglas because he is not aware of Thomas' verbal abuse. I hope we get a scene where Douglas tells Ridge the things that Thomas said at some point.
  22. The world is coming to a freaking end! I was cheering Brooke on today. She is damn right. Thomas is an unfit parent and should not have custody of Douglas until he gets some help for his anger and obsessive tendencies. As for Thomas and the law, when he threatened Flo, etc., demanded the others stay silent, and took action to conceal Beth's kidnapping, he became an accessory after the fact. However, the charges would be probably be dropped in return for testifying against the kidnapper, Flo, etc.
  23. The CIA's net is closing on Adelita and Mayans. They are going to have to do something about the Mercenaries before it is too late. As I predicted, Angel is the father of Adelita's baby. I wish we got to see their romance. I like them as a couple. Poor Mini. She has been through it. At least, she is reunited with Adelita. Angel bonding with EZ was surprisingly fun and touching. How fast are their bikes? It doesn't look like they can out race anything. I know nothing about motorcycles. So Dita knew Felipe from before his new identity in America. Small world. Did she ever find out what? I really hope Miguel isn't Felipe's son because it would be just too soapy for words. Too bad hot Medina got killed off so quickly. I like the actor. I have seen him in other shows.
  24. I saw the season 2 preview. The costumes are very elaborate.
  25. If nobody did including Marvel, why are you saying that Hayley should have? Because it is easier to take her on than the popular Evans. I thought Steve's ending was fitting. And I will repeat, MCU owns these properties. They aren't obliged to kow-tow to vocal segment of fans who either want a bisexual Steve having a romance with Bucky or a heterosexual Steve ending his story in a bromance with Bucky.
